Since she said it wasn't an emergency, I waited to move forward. Over the past month my pain worsened, so I sought a second opinion. That doctor did a thorough exam with a speculum and imaging, and confirmed that I have no hemorrhoids at all, but rather a chronic fissure. Had this been identified and treated months ago, my condition likely wouldn't have gotten this severe. I feel Dr. Bhatt dismissed my concerns, did not perform a proper exam, and suggested an unnecessarily aggressive surgery for something I don't even have. Very disappointed in this experience.
