I had requested to avoid some circumstances since I was having issues with my tax returns. I was unable to avoid what could have been avoided due to a basic mistake by this company. I understand that we make mistakes as humans. However, it was a fairly basic mistake and I can not believe it is happening. Some of the employees responded very professionally but that did not solve the problem and Ms. Ozaki was not taking any responsibility as an owner of the business. Ms. Ozaki's response was unprofessional, cancelling the meeting and no response for reschedule unless I contact. I asked her for a refund, but was told that the money I paid in advance could not be refunded. I checked the BBB and other platforms and found similar complaints. I do not recommend using this company but if you like to try this company I will strongly recommend you to pay them after tax return is done without any problems. The paid invoice she sent me was for preparation of my taxes- which she never did because I did not send her any paperwork to proceed. I was filing back taxes from the year my father had passed away and I was not in any condition at the time to deal with it. If there were a star for unethical behavior and someone being advantageous during a pandemic, I'd give it to her- five stars in full. I had just moved to Miami and experienced first hand how many people operate here. It was very disheartening at a time when I could not work during the pandemic to also have money basically stolen from me. There was nowhere in writing stating that she could keep my payment-just bc if she felt like it.
