As with all RSPCA Thrift Shops, this place has some serious bargains. As the footpath full of belongings on the footpath testify to, there really isn't enough room in the tiny store for all its treasures. The inside of the store is tiny. Prices at this RSPCA are inexpensive and they have a pretty good turn over of product, there's always some new donated trinket I couldn't possibly part without purchasing.
Volunteers tend to be quite elderly with poor hearing, maths skills or any concept of what items should cost. Do not try and persuade them of how they have undercharged you because they won't hear and if they do, won't listen. RSPCA stores also have loyalty cards which give you a star for every $5 you spend. When you've got a certain amount of holes in your card, you get $5 off your next purchase.
Due to it being an animal charity, this RSPCA store has leashes, collars and toys on offer to take back to your pussycats and pooches. These might be available in other RSPCA stores too, but I've never seen them. Pet stuff is displayed prominently to the left of the counter. read more
