While we waited for the bride and groom to enter the reception we sauntered over to the cookie table and grabbed a couple nibbles. Peanut butter cookies with chocolate on top, tiny little adorable nut rolls, vanilla Pizzelles, Russian tea cakes, pecan tarts, iced sugar cookies, heart cut out cookies with jam(?), coconut puffs drizzled with fine chocolate, apricot rolls, shortbread cookies with a little berry topping (raspberry Linzer, maybe?), and more were spread out before us! Everything tasted so amazing! Pecan tarts were perfectly nutty, yet soft and delicious. The Pizzelles were thin, crisp and amazingly yummy (I don't like Anise ones, and these vanilla were fantastic). The iced sugar cookies were melt-in-your-mouth perfection that I didn't want to end. My favorite, however, were the lady locks. These delicate treats are cream-filled wrapped pastries that are a little slice of heaven! And we weren't the only ones who thought that, as the lady locks were the first to disappear off the table. So now I am ruined. All other cookies just don't stack up to Linda's wonderful creations! We traveled a little over 3 hours to get to the wedding. Lindaz Little Bakery is no where close to where we live. How can I even look at store bought cookies after this? (gasp!) What will I tell my mum!? (panicked) I have no poker face! They also come with hot pepper cheese, which I will have to try next time. The texture of the bread was fabulous. Also tried an assortment of sweets. I don't even favor butterscotch cookies, but this one was great - a light cookie with enough, but not overwhelming, taste of butterscotch. My favorite cookie is an orange frosted cookie, and this one is the second best one I have had, again a light cookie with just the right amount of flavor, with a smoith frosting. The donut was of the cake variety, again a light texture well balanced with flavor, not drenched in sugar to cover up a low quality product. Lemon gob and cinnamon roll were also above average. Linda is a gifted baker, who gets up every morning at 3 a.m to get her fresh products ready. So support a small local business and treat yourself! I don't see myself stopping by a grocery store bakery while Lindaz is open!

Staff is young and can get aloof - what appears to be the pick up line sometimes is used as the ordering line. Can be confusing to customers and the staff of who is ordering, has ordered, and who is picking up. I ordered an Arctic Reese Cup Swirl. As 16oz, it was well blended with plenty of Reese's in the mix. Would recommend here when you need a pick-me-up and are on the road.

We even tried removing some of the bread to see if that improved the roll. Despite our efforts, it unfortunately did not. The accompanying sauce also lacked flavor. New Haven Trailside Treats is a frozen yogurt shop located in Connellsville, PA. My brother and I went in on a Thursday evening and it was pretty dead however people did stop in later. I recommend the Cake Batter yogurt with Caramel sauce and your choice of toppings. How much is it? Well Yogurt cups are pay by weight so be careful, I ended up paying $11 for my cup but it was the best 11 dollars I have spent in a long time! They also have pint's of Frozen Yogurt you can purchase and take home.. There are also Ice Cream Yogurt sandwiches available. Need a souvenir? They even sell t-shirts with their name on it. The decor is quite fun and colourful. It has brought another element of fun into the Connellsville area. The Cashier was super friendly and really knowledgeable when it came to the finer points of Frozen Yogurt. Worried about price? Keep an eye on their Facebook page because they often have sales on Thursdays and Fridays! However I had missed the sale that day. The sales are well worth it!
