One of the workers was extremely rude, not just to customers but to other employees as well. I witnessed them yelling across the shop at coworkers in a very unprofessional and uncomfortable way. She had on a hoodie, was wearing glasses , and had a bun in her hair. It completely ruined the atmosphere and made it hard to enjoy what should have been a fun treat. The ice cream itself was decent, but the poor customer service made me not want to return. I hope management addresses this issue because no one should have to deal with that kind of behavior, whether they're working there or visiting.

Over the years I got punch cards here hoping to save up for a free cone and I finally got there but was never able to redeem it. I saved the punch cards for a few years until I returned home (been almost 2 years because of Covid). But they would not honor my free cone. It's not a huge deal but if this were my business, I'd just honor it for the loyal customer who obviously has frequented this location over the years. I was not appreciative of the way she told me too, I'm a humiliating tone, "um we haven't accepted punch cards for four years..." I think we will just stick with Dairy Queen from now on unless management makes this right somehow. I'll do my best to contact them but am not going to waste a lot of energy doing it. It's things like this that make you lose loyal customers for life.

We decided to try the "new" place and are glad we did. The place doesn't have a sign, but just look for the giant ice cream cone on the front of the building. It's a cute little retro ice cream place with some tables on the side. I like the curved bench in the front where you can sit and wait for your order. Everything we had was perfectly cooked and was fantastic. Fried pickles with dipping sauce - perfect. Fried raviolis sprinkled w/ shaved cheese coupled with a marinara-type sauce - perfect. I had a foot-long with pickles, peppers, and onions - perfect. I actually forgot to put mustard on top, so I took the leftover fried pickle dipping sauce and put it on the dog - think I might be on to something there. We also got the loaded fries - but we were full, so we took those home and put them under the broiler later that day. After dinner, you just gotta have dessert. We had milkshakes and I had an oatmeal cookie craving one. Sounds too "breakfasty", right? But it was so flippin' good. And the wide-mouth straws they give you? Much needed when you're trying to suck bits of oatmeal through the straw. The blue Oreo and white chocolate raspberry are also very good. As for the customer service, kudos to everyone behind the counter wearing masks. The girls were friendly and quick with the milkshakes. The food took a little long to come out but it was worth the wait. Prices - super reasonable. Would we go back? You bet your sweet bippy we would,...and we will. Maybe even tonight.

New Haven Trailside Treats is a frozen yogurt shop located in Connellsville, PA. My brother and I went in on a Thursday evening and it was pretty dead however people did stop in later. I recommend the Cake Batter yogurt with Caramel sauce and your choice of toppings. How much is it? Well Yogurt cups are pay by weight so be careful, I ended up paying $11 for my cup but it was the best 11 dollars I have spent in a long time! They also have pint's of Frozen Yogurt you can purchase and take home.. There are also Ice Cream Yogurt sandwiches available. Need a souvenir? They even sell t-shirts with their name on it. The decor is quite fun and colourful. It has brought another element of fun into the Connellsville area. The Cashier was super friendly and really knowledgeable when it came to the finer points of Frozen Yogurt. Worried about price? Keep an eye on their Facebook page because they often have sales on Thursdays and Fridays! However I had missed the sale that day. The sales are well worth it! I hope New Haven Trailside Treats keeps up the great work and has a very long stay in Connellsville.

And finally, check out the story about Bittersweet's roots, its commitment to addiction recovery/support, and the owner's son's story/passing. Nice landscaping provides a near perfect setting to enjoy a cup of coffee. I ended up getting a simple red eye. It was delicious. I understand they brew Iron Star coffee out of West Mifflin. The same Iron Star that owns Coffee Tree shops. If this coffee is any indication, I think I need to visit Coffee Tree again. It's been a while. Anyway, I had a really good cup of coffee and a peanut butter and jelly cookie. No complaints on the cookie, but I wish they had some breakfast sweets like scones or cinnamon rolls. Next time I'll try some real food. Just be aware that things are a little pricey here.
