1 Star Review - RTS Financial / Ryan Transportation (Factoring & Fuel Card) I do not recommend RTS Financial (Ryan Transportation Services) to any trucking company or owner operator. They advertise one thing, but the reality is completely different. They charged me a 1% fee on the platform/app, and then when the money was deposited, I noticed another deduction, meaning the numbers did not match what was shown in their app. Also, they told me their fuel card savings would average 50 cents per gallon, but that turned out to be false. The best discount I ever received was around 29 cents per gallon. Another big issue is communication and transparency. They were not clear with the contract details, and I had trouble getting copies of the agreement they originally sent. Overall, I had a very bad experience with RTS factoring and their fuel card program. I recommend trucking companies be careful and read everything before signing up. read more

I was a customer of RTS from Jan 21,2021 to Mar 20, 2023. After deciding to stop factoring our loads, we received a relase letter dated Mar 20,2023. Unfortunately, I did not realize that RTS would leave active liens on our business even after the release. Fast forward to 2026- we're now in the process of purchasing a building, and our bank has discovered that RTS still has liens filed against our company, preventing our loan from moving forward. I've been trying to get this resolved for weeks with no response from RTS. Can someone from the company please respond and remove the liens immediately so we can complete our transaction? read more

Warning to Truckers & Business Owners - Do Not Get Trapped by This RTS Company! I want to warn everyone about this factoring company because they are deceptive and will change the terms of your contract without your consent. Here's what happened to us: How They Tricked Us: 1. At the Start: When we signed up, they promised a 2.5% fee with a $5,000 minimum per month. It sounded fair, so we agreed. 2. After 3 Months: They suddenly changed the terms to 3.75% with a $25,000 minimum--without notifying us or getting our approval. 3. When We Complained: They told us the original contract doesn't matter and that they can change the terms whenever they want. We were trapped in their agreement for a full year. Why You Should Avoid Them: * They change the contract terms without warning. * They lock you in for a year and make it hard to leave. * They increase their fees and minimums to drain more money from you. * They act like they own your business and make up their own rules. How to Escape: If you're already stuck with them, make sure you send a cancellation notice 60-90 days before your contract ends. Otherwise, they will keep you locked in for another year. Where do I start, initially RTS factoring was great. As it get close to the nearing of our contract, we have experienced unprofessionalism and theft!! We pay for a program within RTS, PRO TRANSPORT. With this being said, once we upload invoices, we have two choices, express wire or ach. If we pick express wire the fee is waived per contract. I learned that they have been charging us a wire fee on top of the fee we pay for using the pro transport program. I called in and spoke to two different supervisors or managers, they told me that I had to choose the wire option oppose to the express option. Okay, well that would make sense IF I had that option. I explain to both of them that we don't have that option. He goes on to say, well if you don't have that option then that changes the conversation. I sent him a screenshot of my options. He then goes on to say, he can't refund me the money they took from us because they employee's failed to do their job!! So I told him, you guys are not going to take money like that and not refund it back. I told him when I signed up for the program, I was told all wires are free and I can upload them via the pro transport or rts pro. He gives another EXCUSE, well you can't use RTS pro. Sir, that's what I was told when I signed up with the program, another excuse to not refund the money back. We purchased the program late February 2025. From March-June, no fees. July-Dec, we were charged 10.00 fees. And its crazy, because they charged some invoices and not all of them. It's like they were being sneaky with it. The amount increase each month after July 2025. To add insult to injury, the manager/supervisor, whatever his title is, don't mean anything to me, but he said he can ONLY put a request in to get December 2025 payments refunded. Sir excuse me, that's not going to work. Then after that jab, he told me he don't have time. Are you serious, if it was his money, that they took from him, he wouldn't like it one bit but since it don't directly affect him, he was unprofessional and to allow that to roll off his tongue. Our contract will be canceled as of March 2026. We had considered staying with RTS, but not after this incident. We're definitely leaving!! We need a TRUSTWORTHY factoring company that has time!! Per their contract the account was to be released on Friday. They ignored emails and phone calls the whole week, and then conveniently sent everything at the last minute making it impossible to wire funds the Friday before a bank holiday.Now 2 more business days, and they continue to make this process much harder than it needs to be. They are really holding companies hostage at RTS. There is a reason they hide their Google reviews. Ever wonder why you see no reviews on Google for them? Terrible service, use Triumph or ANYONE ELSE. They pose as a factoring company, but in reality if your work doesn't fit their tiny box of what "works" for them they will force you to stop working with a company because they won't accept your loads to factor. Then if you accept quick pay directly from that company you are in violation of your contract. my company completed a funding application with rts financial and received a call back in february my company let them know that we wasn't going with their factoring company. we haven't heard from rts since concerning factoring. rts filed a ucc filing against my company knowing that we were not factoring with them. this says a lot about this company. rts financial are working to get my company released. please be careful when thing about factoring with rts financial. read more

I started factoring with RTS financial and in the beginning all went well for three months and then there was a change in my representative. After that it was down hill with the new factoring team 28. I pulled some load with a AG logistics and that company paid a few and fell off for some reason even though they are still in operation, RTS back charge me with an agreement of $200 per load , suddenly changed the mind and take 100% of future loads leaving me to exhaust my credit cards. Now it's been five (5) plus months since I've sent in my redraw from all contracts at the end of my contract with RTS. Now it's been two (2) plus months since my contract end and they haven't updated or sent me anything release letter which. Apparently no one communicates with each other in the different departments within this company. I'm not able to keep my company's insurance because of RTS . They are basically putting small businesses out out and out of operation. Small businesses please beware of RTS unfairness and deceitful practices. I wish I would've read the reviews before switching to RTS from Triumph. Currently waiting to speak with a manager and I'm having to beg and plead with the sales rep to get in touch with someone. I've only been with RTS for a week and I am utterly disappointed. It took them a week to complete the buyout and I wasn't informed of the actual details of the process or that it could be delayed. Nor was the buyout fee mentioned. I'm feeling like I made an uninformed decision by trusting that the sales rep would tell me all the ins and out, but I was fooled. I informed the sales rep (Chase Holmes) certain things that I didn't like at Triumph, he reassured me that RTS didn't do things the same way. Surprise, Surprise, everything Chase mentioned RTS did not do, was false after talking with the actual factoring personnel. Or the features that I did want, I have to pay for with a monthly subscription, that also wasn't told to me initially. With Triumph, I can get paid in a matter of 2 hour or less, RTS thus far has taken all day. Long story short, would not recommend. read more

This was my worst choice in trusting rts as an ally for my company, and it has been one of the main reasons why I closed my company, from one day to the next they stopped factoring me because I had a loan with company x and had a payment arrangement, then they asked for documentation to see if they could continue working with me and it took them a month and a half to give me an answer, then I had to wait for them to pay all the invoices that were pending from the broker payments and well this is correct but at the same time I was looking for another financial institution and no matter how many times you write to them they don't respond it was a big problem to get the contract termination letter, also keep in mind that they sign the contract renewal without notifying you, Luis Barragan is garbage, I asked him for help to see if I could show up at an office to resolve my case and he told me that they wouldn't let me in because they had security, I was just looking for solutions since they left me without charging because the brokers can't pay you directly anymore that you have a contract with a factory, then I managed to resolve everything and it took me three months, a broker mistakenly paid RTS 4100 dollars and they don't want to give it to me, nor do they want to return it to the broker, I have proof of everything, some answers that transition gives mediocre, unprofessional, customer service is terrible, they pass the problem to each other and those affected are the small companies, if any lawyer reads this please or someone who can recommend one to me, I will appreciate it so that they can help me recover those 4100 dollars that they don't want to release, think about it before entering this company, good luck to everyone. read more

Predatory Business Practices, New Carriers Please be Careful! We are a new carrier in the transportation business. While looking for a factoring company, we discussed a potential contract with RTS Financial. However, upon receiving the contract, we found many of the terms, costs, and cancellation provisions to be unappealing. Therefore, we declined to sign and notified them that we would not be pursuing a business relationship with them. Today, after exploring options with another company, we were notified that RTS had placed a lien on our company despite never having a signed contract. We believe this action constitutes retaliation for not signing their contract. These tactics are predatory business practices and bullying. We never entered into a business relationship with RTS and, after this experience, we would not recommend them to anyone. We are still awaiting the release of the lien. read more

Greetings to all my fellow truckers and trucking companies. my experience with RTS and team 28 is very disturbing and unacceptable. I was recommended by someone to move my factoring to RTS . but is a nightmare, after pulling a few loads for a broker/ AG logistics , RTS was being paid slowly so team 28 and I came to an verbal agreement that they will deduct $250 per loads ran by me.as of 5/8/25 it's three months now since I haven't received any payments from RTS and I'm unable to pay my bills such as insurance, rent etc. I'm blocked and all my calls go on for a long period and just hang up. iv been in business since 2021 and it hurts to see my business go by the waste side. I know that RTS got all their payments back from ot brokers that are paying and I'm honestly not being updated my RTS of any payments . I was ask by RTS representatives whom I was in contact with "how much should I release for your insurance payment ". And I lost all respect For RTS financial.I would recommend the if you're a trucking company,you should factor your loads directly with the broker they are offering low low rates than RTS financial. In a struggling trucking industry RTS has broken my husband's contract because the reviews he provides are unfavorable to them... but they are TRUE. Since he refuses to take them down, they are now refusing to pay him for the work he has already done. They try to bully the owner operators because right now, the trucking industry is favoring the larger corporations and owner operators are fighting to keep their companies running. A few years ago when my husband was having issues with RTS, they refused to let him out of his contract. That was during COVID, when truckers were in high demand. My husband is a hardworking dedicated owner operator trying to provide for our family, that wants nothing more to be paid for the work he's already done so he can continue to provide for our family. RTS does not respect the working man, and only care about how they are perceived through reviews... and they only want the reviews they pay for. DO NOT!!! Conduct business with RTS Financial. They are refusing to remove a UCC Filing on me. I filled out an application but never signed a contract with RTS. Thomas Golinvaux in their Dallas Office has taken this matter personally and has thus far thwarted my attempts to have the UCC3 filed with their transitions department. On September 11,2024 he personally took it upon himself to contact me to inform me that RTS Financial would not be releasing me because I did their application first, and then offered to send me their Factoring Contract so I could sign it and we could continue our business relationship. Absolutely absurd, retaliatory, and illegal. I am in no contract with RTS Financial nor have I ever been! rts financial services sells you the best of their services, which expire in 30 days into your contract. they start at a 2.35 and 30 days later they are almost taking a 5% from your income and for what i was told by rts , it is a tier that continues to increase and increase by the month. therefore, if you dont keep up the income due to slow season , rts may own your invoices before they are due. buyers beware. if the scpeel sounds too good to be true , it is. customer service calls every single day with a question and you have to resolve invoices unpaid to rts by your customer. it's like working for rts and paying them at the same time. read more

Please don't ever get trick by the Josh Baggett to sign a contract with RTS. I have asked multiple times for letter of release for JB Hunt they never release it. The only reason we are with them is that our contract is until November 2022. The reps are not experienced enough to do the job or answer simple questions. I was with RTS for many years. I have been paying tens of thousands of dollars a year to RTS and, for that money I expect reliable service. For the first several years I received that quality. However, in January ( immediately after a "system change") I was switched to a new team ( Team #28 ran by Sebastian Miller) and that is where the problem started. Since January I have had dozens of customers who did not receive their paperwork including invoices and PODs. I complained many times, asked three times for a different team and got nowhere. I don't know if it was the new team or the system change. After the problem started and I had exhausted the limited avenues available for lodging complaints, I spoke with Mallory Kleoppel who originally signed me up. All she did was blame my customers, stating repeatedly that the customers who say they never received paperwork or invoices just didn't want to pay. This would include numerous large companies whom I doubt would play such games. In fact, I have never had an issue with any of them in the past. Additionally, I pointed out the fact that RTS had incorrect billing info on at least three of those customers and she stated that it wasn't RTS's problem. Furthermore, I want state that in back to back sentences she claimed that I was the only one with this problem then proceeded to state in the next sentence that this issue "happens thousands of times." I asked her which it was and she remained silent. And to be blunt, when I let her know I would be leaving RTS due to these unresolved issues just as I had left England Carrier Services for the same reason years ago, she became quite the unpleasant individual. You should understand that when you separate from RTS they will not release any of your customers back to you via a letter of release until your account is zeroed out and that can take as much as two months. Plan accordingly. Finally, do not expect to take your issues very far up the chain of command, they will not let you contact anyone above a supervisor position. I had other means to get those phone numbers and emails associated with upper management through a service purchased from Zoom but decided to wait it out and just be done with them. As of today am still waiting on a Letter of Release so I can invoice numerous customers and today had to deal with another customer who did not receive their PODs or an invoice. As for the other complaints here, I did not experience any other issues as they state they did. I suggest that people should pay attention to their aging reports to see that their customers are paying RTS. If there is something over 40 days then you should call and see where the holdup is. Be pro active. I give RTS a zero for the reason that they blamed my customers and didn't take any of the responsibility. They also have a boilerplate response to each of the negative reviews here and that doesn't indicate any real concern for customer relations. This company has many bad reviews and I should have looked at those first but we all live and learn. Remember, factoring is not a business model. It should only only be used temporarily as a tool to move your business towards a valid goal. read more

I have complained and they have returned some of the money and said they would be adjusted the rate back to its original rate. However, that never happened. They did the same thing to me again. This company would held my funds after my insurance expired even though the loads were done prior to the expiration. I tried contacting them, they eventually said to send them my insurance quote that I received and I did so they said they needed an invoiced quote which I eventually received because the insurance company took long as hell. Then RTS made the excuse that my authority was revoked. Yea I bet it was revoked I had no money to get insurance in time to save my authority. I had to take out loans to get my insurance and my authority back in good standing. I requested several times to be released and these people will not release me until my contract with them has hit a year! I bet once it hits a year they will make up another excuse. Don't do what I did. I was uneducated moving too fast and did not do my research or read the contract over with my attorney DO NOT SIGN UP FOR RTS they are a big JOKE. I handle other companies invoicing through bobtail and they have never seen or heard of this issue. Complete disappointment. But you live and learn in this industry. THE PURPOSE OF THIS REVIEW IS TO BE HEARD BY RTS SALES, I NEED TO CHANGE MY CONTRACT, BEFORE RENEWAL KICKS IN. RTS IGNORING ME, MAYBE THIS WILL HELP TO CONSIDER MY CONTRACT Hello everyone, RTS Financial is good factoring company in general. BUT: I don't Appreciate that Prime Rates. RTS Chrarcging me anywhere from $1.00 to $10.00 per day in prime rates. I still dont understand WHy I have to be responsible for the prime rates if they already having good percentage from me. IN February they Charged me about $56.38 in prime rates, 50 bucks a month times 12 its about $600 a year for the slowly "sipping" prime rate. kind of significant. Dont forget that February was the Shortest and slowest month in the industry. Imagine how much RTS charging me with prime thing in good 31 day busy months? =)(Like July and August). Also I feel uncomfortable with RTS accessorial policy charges (lumper/layover/detention/pallets). Many Brokers send revised rate sheet with extra money days, sometimes weeks after load was delivered. ( I can NOT wait that long so I factor) Some of them Dont send revised rates at all. broker said "we will reimburse you with the receipt" RTS reps keep telling me that they will NOT fund any accessorial charges (lumper/layover/detention/pallets) after purchase was submitted. My RTS rep Said that we need to wait until broker send a check and this overpayment will go into reserve. But its not overpayment!!! IT IS MY LUMPER MONEY THAT I PAID TO THE RECEIVER/SHIPPER VIA EFS. But RTS will hold reserve and slowly deduct these prime rates. and RTS never ever calling me and telling something like : - "Hey we got overpayment on some invoice and we put into reserve" instead they just Charging you like $4.00 - $10.00 PER DAY for prime. BOTTOM LINE YOU WILL NEVER GET YOUR LUMPER/PALLETS/LAYOVER/DETENTION unless you have REVISED RATE FROM THE BROKER IN THE FIRST PLACE WHEN YOU SUBMITTING PURCHASE. Other factoring companies dont do this suspiciously weird thing. Next Thing is that When I'm asking RTS REP to give Notice/letter of release. for CHRW some other good quick pay policy broker, RTS telling me that this is NOT GONNA HAPPEN AND THATS IT. But this Broker has Better quick pay rate than RTS's. Why RTS not letting me save my money? I'm on percentage too. Each dollar is a VALUE for me. ALSO RTS Put Lien on my Whole Business. !!! So I failed to get financing for expanding my Company Because of this Lien, By the Time RTS answered to the lender(1 week) The best opportunity to expand business was no LONGER AVAILABLE.
