He was never in the office when I called and would not return my calls. If you want an agent who communicates effectively, DO NOT CHOOSE FRANKLIN TYRER! When I asked to change to a different agent, he refused to give his permission. American Family's procedure requires the current agent's permission before you can change to different agent. If your current agent refuses to "let you go", the prospective agent will not take you on as their client. I contacted American Family Insurance Customer's Affairs Department and thankfully, they were able to change my agents.

Since then we have gone through several cars and added our home insurance too. There were several times I called and spoke directly to Kevin, or his staff asking for coverage quotes while shopping for cars, or when I needed proof of insurance emailed to me in a hurry. Every time my request was met with an audible smile and granted immediately. The first time I was involved in a claim I was contacted to provide an explanation of the events. The American Family agent was very courteous, and surprisingly friendly considering I was at fault in this situation. Just recently we made a new claim and I've been pleasantly surprised at how quickly the American Family team has cared for our needs. They've been efficient, informative, and proactive.
