I have two doodles. I asked to leave their facial hair and cut like teddy bears. what I got was a completely shaved doodle all the way to his head and the other was shaved from forehead down his to nose like a strip of just shaved off his face. nothing like a teddy bear cut. groomers need to be trained to cut doodle properly and listen to costumers. my dogs look like Shane's aliens and now I'll have to wait months before they grow out. I'm beyond upset and will not bring them back there. read more

I took my pup (a 3 year old Bernese/Husky mix) to Rub a Dub Dub just before Christmas for a de-shed. I was told it took quite a while because he gets stressed out getting groomed. I was thankful they were patient and he came out looking great. I was genuinely very pleased. I returned today and I was called back in less than the 3 hours that I was told it was going to take online. That's interesting, and a little concerning given the last time. When I show up I'm told all the things that weren't done (didn't wash his head, didn't trim his nails, or the fur on his butt, and there's still plenty of excess hair, etc.) I'm mildly annoyed. I mean what exactly did we do? He smells good at least. I reach down and I'm told "Oh, he's going to still be a little wet" because he didn't like the dryer. So I'm going home with a damp dog? Neat. I get home and he's still shedding hair like crazy, and I see loose fur he's pulled out himself hanging from his mouth. Didn't we just do a deshed? Because I kind of feel like I paid $100 for not much. However the absolute last straw: I pet him and I feel a FIST SIZED clump of matted hair on the back of his neck, because wet dog fur and friction. So I'll be spending the next few days combing and deshedding my dog myself. The only reason it's not 1 star is because the first groomer was very good, but I don't think I'll be coming here again. If they needed more time I would have been fine with that. If they wanted more money, also fine, but this halfway job was not remotely okay by me. read more

I am sad to say I am not happy with this experience. This was our second time of giving Rub a Dub Dub another chance because last time they wouldn't pick up the phone. When I told them last time that I couldn't get ahold of them to know when my dog was done they were apologetic. So we gave them this chance. This time I did a deshedding appointment for our Siberian husky. They did call this time and told me she would be done in 10-15 minutes. They also let me know that our dog was upset with the blow dryer so they stopped. I was okay with this! Our dog though got her nails trimmed and they nicked her. They told me this after I paid. No discount just an apology. The apology is appreciated but customer wise it was sad. I understand accidents happen and at least do something to compensate. They also said she kept jerking away so that's why it happened. It's strange to me they didn't get more people to help to keep her calm. For $75 including the tip the professionalism is not there with communication or product. Makes me sad because this has always been our spot. read more

Great place. Took my two Golden doodles here. It was $65 for each dog. My fur babies are considered a large breed, so it would be less expensive if you have a smaller animal. They did a wonderful job with the haircut. You can schedule an appointment over their website and it's super easy to do. They do take credit card information to do the booking. You will get charged if you don't go to the scheduled appointment without letting them know ahead of time. On the website it stated for a missed appointment you will be charged half the cost of the appointment. So if I skipped one appointment it would be $32.50. On the website, the customer can pick the type of services they need. (Grooming,nail trim, bath etc) The inside of the facility is very nice and the staff is friendly. They treated the dogs very nicely and sent text messages when they were finished with our dogs. Definitely would recommend it for your fur babies. read more

Let me first start by saying, they called when the incident happened. Which I appreciate. However, I was told it was a nick on her paw. Look at the pictures, not just a nick. Upon drop off at the scheduled time, I waited in the lobby for 10 minutes, no one at the counter... no bell. Same at pick up. When groomer called, she offered a 10% discount for the incident. And said she stopped bleeding, I have pictures of my daughters shirt and the amount of blood on the 10 minute ride. I scheduled for a clean up which was $35 on the website, I left a 20% tip also but was charged $49.50 (tip in that) so I was not charged the listed price and no discount. read more

I don't what we did wrong but we did not have the same experience. Maybe because we took our dogs on a Sunday? When we got there, the person could not find the appointment for a minute, then finally accepted my dogs. I asked for a Yorkie cut and got a shaved dog with long hair on her head, which was an inch longer on one side. She looks ridiculous! My Newfy was shaved too and given a schnauzer type face. My best friend asked if I thought she looked good in the tone of she looks horrible. When we left we were ushered out the back. There were 4-6 people back there sitting in lawn chairs, smoking. Just kinda creepy and not a good look for a place of business. Now the Newfy had some mats, and understand the shaving but my poor tiny schnoodle looks like I did it. I absolutely love Jessica! She is so sweet, personable, and my little guy feels comfortable with her. Everyone we encountered was a true professional: helpful, kind, and willing to answer any questions. Services are very fairly and competitively priced, considering the high quality and attention to detail. Our pup was adopted from the shelter so we had no idea what she "should" look like. I admitted not knowing what to ask for, and Mariska was absolutely fabulous. She intuitively figured out exactly what cut would work best... I almost cried, seeing our new girl come out looking so fresh and clean! And Tim was amazing. He offered great advice about how to brush and maintain her coat until the next visit, and we left with a happy, tangle-free girl. New to Fort Wayne I found Rub a dub dub via Yelp and I am so grateful! I have a Australian Shepherd and his fur is impossible for me to manage. His undercoat is thick and will knot. He thinks I'm playing when I try to brush him and the struggle is exhausting. The groomer at dub a dub dub did a stunning job on him! His fur was so soft and his complete undercoat has been brushed and thinned out. He looks beautiful! He seemed so happy as with the milder weather coming that undercoat was making him hot. Took my senior dog into be groomed. He is very scared of groomers and took some of his kibble to be used as reward. Groomer came out to meet him as I had requested. Was told that he did very well. First two times he looked good third time only thing they did was shampoo and blow dry paws were not done and legs and rear not done. At first I was really excited to bring my dog here to be groomed because they called me back and said they could do all of these different things that my last groomer wouldn't do, but when it came to getting him groomed it was a bust. It took 4+ hours to groom an 8 pound shitzu. I drove there after waiting for a call back 3 hours in and sat in the parking lot for an hour. I walked in to see their progress and one worker said "Oh he just needs 5 more minutes for his face." Cut to 30 minutes later and I finally get him. He looks fine, but I just don't understand how it took 4 hours. read more
