First time visit. Very happy we went there. Great quaint restaurant in Carlingford. Excellent ambience and food. Staff were very friendly. Go there if you are in the area. read more
The atmosphere is relaxed...don't come here if you're in a rush. So many desserts to choose from. It was a difficult decision as they all looked mouth watering, however we chose the lemon pie and cake. Perfection!!!!
I also loved the egg and onion sandwich. The chicken sandwich was just ok. What a wonderful little spot! read more
By our standards it was a warmish day about 14c but with a coastal breeze as we entered this place.
We settled down at a small garden table and comfy chairs within their walled garden so the breeze disappeared leaving just the sunshine.
It was mid-afternoon so it was the perfect time for coffee and cake. The service was friendly and prompt even though they were busy.
We settled on cappuccinos at €3 a cup and one lemon meringue pie portion between two at €6.5.
It was a very tasty pie but for my money it could have been more tart with much more grated lemon rind added. The meringue and base were very good. The pie came with a little pot of whipped single cream so it was just perfect.
All in all it was a pleasant treat on a near perfect Sunday in this ancient village. read more
Absolutely wonderful place! Couldn't recommended it enough. Myself and my friends went here for late lunch and then had to go back the next day for breakfast too. Food is so fresh and tasty and portions are really generous. The staff were just beyond wonderful and made our trip very personal. Would highly recommend the high tea and the chowder. read more
