I ate at Ruby Tuesday in Alexander City, Alabama on July 5. The food was very good, and I got the salad bar. Within days I started having explosive diarrhea which went on for nearly a month. I was given antibiotics for the Cyclospora parasite. After about a month, I finally started getting relief this past weekend. The reason I believe it came from the salad bar is because that is the only place I had lettuce or any vegetables prior to this hitting me. This was a small town location i visited in Alexcity, Alabama. There were only about 5 patrons dining in when we arrived. It was quiet and subtle. We did get seated. The seats and table had needed to be wiped down. Service was a bit slow. The salad bar fid look fresh. The floors, tables, chairs, and bathroom need some attention. We ordered food and drinks. For some reason she upgraded my drink and I specifically told her not to. The upchatge was still on my receipt after me telling her I didn't ask for the uncharted. My first drink was ok, it seems like the uncharted was not more alcohol but instead more juice. The 2nd drink was ok. We did enjoy the salad bar. Ummmm, not sure if I'll return. My husband took me out for Mother's Day this past Saturday 5/9/26 to Ruby Tuesday in Alexander City, AL. We've always liked the steaks and ribs so we decided to go there rather than to Texas Roadhouse, which we really like, but figured we'd have a long wait time. Upon arriving around 3:15 or thereabouts there might have been a handful of cars in the parking lot. We went in and were seated and waited on promptly. The waitress was really nice and did her best to accommodate us. My husband ordered the ribs trio meal and I ordered a sirloin steak and added the ribs. When the waitress brought us our drinks (teas) we asked for straws. She told us they were out of straws with paper but she could bring us two straws in a napkin if that was okay with us, we said yes it was fine. Really? A restaurant without straws and on a busy weekend. Our meals arrived shortly afterwards and my steak was the size of a nine year olds palm, I'm not exaggerating, but I let it go and didn't say anything. The waitress asked if we needed anything else and I said yes I would like some A1 Steak Sauce and she said she would go get me some. When she came back she said they were out of A1, so I asked if I could get some Heinz 57 and she said they were out of that too. She then told us that we got the last of the ribs and we both looked at each other in disbelief. Out of ribs this early, what about tonight when the dinner rush comes? We continued eating our meals, but I didn't enjoy my steak at all because I didn't have any steak sauce. Later when the waitress checked to see if we needed anything else I asked her how could a restaurant chain like Ruby Tuesday be out of straws and not have any steak sauce or ribs on Mother's Day weekend, were they not prepared for this weekend or tomorrow (Sunday) which was Mother's Day? She told us that there was probably some in the back that would be brought out then (tomorrow). I was going to ask to speak with management but decided to wait because I was so taken aback by what we were told. Our business on Saturday wasn't good enough for the straws, steak sauce or extra ribs because they were saving them apparently for customers who were coming in the next day (Sunday). We are paying customers too, what about us? This type of managing is unacceptable to say the least. We won't have to make a decision about where we go next time because we will not be going back to this establishment. read more

We've been staying at the hotel across from here and have never tried this place but today we decided to since we only eaten at 1 other location 20 years before and now might have become one of go to restaurants cause we walked in and both waitresses we interacted with were AUsome because we ended up changing sections due to the size of the booth cause we prefer booths, salad bar was great, $3 margaritas were some of the best I've had, steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection, fries were awesome and my wife loved the brownie sundae for dessert, so if you're in town for an Auburn game like us or just passing through this is a must try eatery and will eat here every Auburn game from here on out, thanks for the great dining experience and food read more

Made our weekly visit. Usually on Sunday. I only write when things are just not right. Last Sunday We had our typical top sirloin, baked potat. My wife decided on French Fries. They didn't have any. This week they didn't have any baked potato or French fries. The steak Ihad was tough which was the first time. Our waitress was very nice. She was efficient. Stopped by Sunday evening for dinner with family. Food was very good. Steak was cooked to perfection (MR) . Service was friendly and prompt, even though our wsitress was also the hostess. Restaurant was clean and alive, which is a dramatic imptovement from the lsst visit. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and visit with kids and grandkids. Shocked to learn we had remained 30 minutes after 8 pm closing, never feeling any pressure to leave. Must be under new management, so improved from past visits. Keep up the good work. Today I decided to celebrate at one of the local dining franchises for my third culinary degree. And as always, in town, the treat you with the highest of royalty. I sat at the bar this time with Kim and she did a fabulous job. I ordered the NY Strip medium rare, Mac and cheese, and the brussel sprouts with a glass of Cabernet. My steak was perfectly cooked. I would've preferred a little more seasoning for color but overall it got the job done. The Mac and cheese had a great crisp across the top, giving it a nice texture to the cheesy madness we all love. The Brussels gave me a twist out of this world. I never thought to dip them in honey mustard but I don't think I'll ever eat them again plain Jane. I definitely ate it too fast but it was too good to drop the fork. She even gave me a glass of wine for my celebration. The music was extra on point and I felt comfortable kicking my feet up and enjoying my wine. Definitely recommend going during slow hours as the food comes out very fast. read more

From the moment we walked in servers were arguing over who was going to serve us and about who was getting the tip. When we sat down our waitress was not very attentive and gave us an incorrect drink. She had 3 tables the rest of the building was empty besides the workers. A child ran into the restaurant half naked and the waitress said it was her kid. The food had no flavor. I had the ribs chicken and shrimp. Shrimp was small, ribs while plenty of sauce had no flavor, chicken was thin and dry. While checking out there was only 3 tip option, if no tip was an option (which it was not, the lowest option was 18%) we would have tipped nothing. 100% will not be returning. read more

I ordered online and waited until the time I was told it would be ready. I walked up to the bar and the waitress looked at me and did not acknowledge me at all but continued to converse with two men at the bar. Let me start by saying our server (Stephanie) was AWESOME!! This review is not directed towards her in any way, shape or form We should have looked at the reviews before stopping. The experience started off as soon as we walked in the door. The salad bar is right in front of the doorway. When we walked in (about 4PM on a Sunday) there were 3 or 4 tables with customers. I guess that should have been my first clue. We asked the hostess (Fran) for a booth. There were dozens open. She took us to the farther part/corner of the room. I asked if we could get closer to the salad bar (my wife is handicapped and uses a walker). Fran told us that was the best she could do because "these other sections are closed". WHAT?? This is the customer service you give to someone with a disability?? From that point the rest of the experience was unimportant. I was already pissed. It's very sad in this day and age that a company would treat someone with a disability this way. It would have killed NO ONE to put us in a booth closer to the salad bar for my wife to be able to get to easily. Perhaps this is why so many Ruby Tuesdays are closing. Either way, we won't be back, and Fran should be ashamed of herself treating a disabled person the way she did. I hope no one in her family ever becomes disabled read more

We ate at Ruby Tuesday in Alexander City, Alabama for lunch today. I really wish we had never stopped. The service was ok, but something was wrong with the food. I hate to be crude, but it didn't stay with me for very long. Not only that, but the table we had was dirty and the salad bar was disgusting. We had both ordered entrée salads, but after seeing the brown lettuce, we decided to get something else instead. We should have just paid for our drinks and left. Asked for items that were empty at the salad bar to be refilled and when asked 15 min latter was told they did not have a few in the selection. Salad bar appeared unkept. Several items on salad bar were empty. They were never replenished during our entire visit. We were told to keep checking back, but nothing ever changed. I had my taste buds set for ribs and a delicious salad. Neither were meant to be. They were out of ribs and the lack luster salad bar added to the whole experience. The entrees we had to settle for were less than desirable. I had chicken parmesan. Pasta and sauce were refrigerator cold. Pasta still held the shape of the refrigerated container. The other entree was steak and grilled shrimp. Shrimp were charred. They literally had remnants of other food items cooked previously on the grill attached to them. The steak was ordered medium rare. Nothing resembling a pink place was to be found. It was cooked well beyond well done. The waitress was pleasant and accommodating. She does the best she can with what she has to work with. read more

This location has the regular excellent selection on the salad bar. My wife is a big fan of the croutons, yes the croutons. They are really different in a good way. Crunchy but soft at the same time. Even though the selection on salad bar is good, they managed to damage the food by keeping the display table too cold, for example the potatoes in the potato salad were frozen. The real negative was the silverware, my fork had the food from a prior diner caked on so hard the flash wash they give the silver ware did. It clean it. read more

I stopped in here last Sunday .. food ok but service was great as I sat at bar to watch some football. Went back tonight and past the disappointment stage .. I had to ask 3 times if they get the Thursday night game on.. finally someone who i believe might of been a mgr grabbed the donate turned to direct TV flipped thur a couple channels then with out a Hey sorry I don't think we get the game she walks away doesn't even say anything.. totally rude .. this could be one of the many reasons Ruby Tuesday's have failed across the country.
