Incredibly friendly hometown styled restaurant. There were no frills - just great service and a welcoming environment. They make homemade pies that I wish I would have had room to try. The burgers are fantastic and would be what I'd order if we ever make it that way again.

There are currently 3 reviews on YELP for this long time staple of a diner for locals, and travelers alike. All three are negative. My family has a long history of dining here - as we grew up in OK, although have been in CA for 10 plus years now. Last week, we came through on our recent road trip to Louisiana, and wanted a delicious breakfast. We purposefully skipped Norman - full of places to eat, and drove out to Ruby's. Once again were met with friendly service, delicious food, amazing low prices, and a clean facility. I am sure there are things that are not perfect, and bad days happen. But I am giving 5 stars to try to average out the deliberate low ratings. I will for sure be back, if ever in the area. I want to have as many biscuits and gravy from Ruby's as possible. I bought a mug last week, to keep them close at heart. Stop in and have a great meal, and friendly conversation. My review is solely for the diner.

Nice welcoming gift for staying at Ruby's Inn...

I only rated this with 1 star because there wasn't an option for 0 stars. First let me start off with the fact that this place only being $60 on Thanksgiving night should have been hint enough. But we had to have a place to stay, every where else was booked (hint 2?). I didn't expect the Ramada or Holiday inn, but I didn't expect this night mare. This is what to expect. We go in get the key, the lady was nice enough to say 'its back over there'. Ok. So we drive over and find our room. We go inside and turn the heat on. Fortunately there was a sign informing us to turn it on low for a bit then high so it will work. I'm thankful they left instructions because I would hate to have been sitting there an hour later freezing still. Then we notice flies buzzing around. Thankfully they left a FLY SWATTER on the counter for us!!! I AM NOT KIDDING. But thats not the best part. I go into the vanity are and almost throw up! Because there was a disgusting, filthy towel ON THE COUNTER(!!!) with a sign, similar to the heater sign, stating "For your convenience, please use this towel for your extra dirty jobs". WTF, OMG. I had no idea what kind of place I was subjecting my children to. Lesson learned for sure. I hope you read this before staying at this place if you are like me. I don't want to know the people they expect to stay there. It was a nightmare. I didn't even shower because I figured I was better off just getting the heck outta there ASAP. We left several hours before we planned due to how nightmarish this place was. I didn't even want to sleep. =/ BTW: There is no microwave, no fridge, no blow dryer, no shampoo/conditioner etc. Bring your house if you plan to stay here. I would also strongly recommend bringing your own linens and a bag to store them in until you can get home and clean them.

Delicious 2/3 lb bacon cheeseburger.  Cooked to perfection.  You will leave full and happy.  The toppings are on bottom.

Six Stars. Classic road motel. Great clean rooms and decent pillows. Makes Motel Six look like a dump.

I get the gravy on the side, that way my chicken fry isn't soggy when I go home and eat it again for another meal.

The bed was comfy, the room cozy and the hot tub was private and the perfect addition! We walked to dinner and came back and enjoyed a glass of wine in the back sitting area. The staff was so friendly with complimentary cookies and wine (not only white...wish there was a red option) in the evening. And breakfast...it was delicious and the perfect portions. Everyone who helped us was lovely and I think I convinced my hubby the Bed N Breakfast Inns can be fun!

My husband wanted to surprise me with a "Gilmore Girls" type wonderful inn experience and it was such a treat! We stayed in one of the cottages and it was absolutely charming. I loved the comfortable living area and cozy fireplace. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was wonderful and had amazing water pressure in the shower. I loved the way the rooms were decorated with cute old fashioned decorations that were Oklahoma themed (we had a birdhouse themed room one night.) One thing I really loved was how wonderful they were about accommodating my medical issues. I have gluten sensitivity and also severe migraines, which make me very sensitive to light. They were so nice about unplugging some lights out on the porch that were bright so that I could sit by the windows without getting a headache. As for the food, sometimes when you're traveling and have to find gluten free food on the road, it can be a bit of a challenge, but oh, the food here was DIVINE! Breakfast one morning was a gluten free omelet with all the fixings, plus a big varied selection of fruit, plus GF cinnamon toast, plus there were these great smoothies. So good! Another day, it was these delicious gluten free blue corn pancakes that I practically inhaled, plus really yummy home fried potatoes with pork, plus a selection of fruit and the wonderful fruit smoothies again. There were even gluten free cookies available upon arrival! We'll definitely be staying there again the next time we drive through Oklahoma City!

This is a fantastic restaurant hidden away in the woods off of Highway 9. For those of us who live…read morein NW OKC it's about a 45 minute drive but it's worth the effort. Make sure to check the OU sports schedule before reserving your spot. OU football, basketball, softball and baseball games will slow your trip to a crawl because of traffic. It's also a bed and breakfast so you can always plan a staycation and avoid the traffic altogether. We've eaten there twice in the last 30 days and I'll include pictures and dishes from both trips. I chose it for the destination of my birthday and none of the 8 guests complained about the drive but all raved about the food. Instead of discussing each and every dish in detail like I normally do (this review would take many pages) I can say without reservation that you simply cannot go wrong with any choice. The soups are silky smooth and packed with flavor. I had the mushroom soup as a special on a previous trip and the taste was from the ground fresh. It must have been made with fresh mushrooms and herbs. The soup on this particular night was a creamy tomato bisque that was velvety smooth and amazing. I've had the House Salad and Caesar Salad. Both are fantastic. The former is a wonderful combination of greens with a light champagne vinaigrette that pairs perfectly. A "simple" Caesar salad is difficult to make but they've got it right. On this occasion I had the filet mignon; juicy, tender and the perfect temperature. I've also had the chicken and pork dishes which were wonderful. My husband has had the salmon and lamb, so I've tasted them and found them to be very good. The rack of lamb has a reduction sauce that would make drywall palatable. On this night I had the chocolate tort while a few others chose the crème brûlée and bread pudding. Pictures are unable to convey the the chef's mastery. I can't find the receipt and can't remember our server's name, shame on me. She handled our table of nine as easily as if it were a table of two. Her skill made a difficult job look easy. Don't worry about the distance. Highway 9 is a well-paved, four-lane highway. The restaurant is only about four miles east of I-35 and is an easy drive. My only suggestion is to check the OU sports schedule. I can also recommend spending the night and enjoying a room.
