It comes with a 10 year parts, 1 year labor warranty. The day of installation, James and his employee arrived as promised and removed my old equipment and installed the new. The installation required replacement of some copper lines and pvc run under the house as well as some fabrication of sheet metal. They worked steadily and methodically. They probably could have finished sooner if I didn't ask questions, however, James had told me previously that it would be about 5 hours. That proved to be very accurate to within just a couple of minutes. Everything was done well. I paid particular attention to the soldering of the copper lines and the bending/alignment of same. I haven't seen or done it better. Job was finished, new thermostat installed and system tested. Work area cleaned and everything hauled away. Now it's only been a day, but having watched the installation and having confidence in the brand, I have questions as to the quality of work or the brand. I feel we were treated well, treated fairly and recommend Show-Me Heating and Cooling in Springfield, MO (there are others) without hesitation.

A May, 2012, YouTUbe video by Consumer Reports helped identify the brand and, after inviting four different Heating/Cooling company representatives to my home, I identified which one would likely do the best install. From reading reviews on the Internet I knew that, even if the equipment was high quality, a poor installation could ruin everything. For me, then, it was clear that I needed quality equipment that would be properly installed. SS&B provided both. Several of my neighbors had the same brand of equipment and were very satisfied with its performance. Several had also used SS&B for their heating and air conditioning needs and were very happy with their work. Unlike the other three heating/cooling company representatives, the representative from SS&B spent a long time in my home asking about my heating/air-conditioning needs, carefully measuring the size of my home and how many square feet of window faced each direction, examining my crawl space (finding numerous leaks in my venting - a problem no other company even bothered to look for) and looked in my attic to determine the condition of my cold-air returns and the approximate R (insulating) value of my home's insulation. I got quite an education as we discussed the various types and sizes of furnaces and air conditioners. I settled on the one that would be best for me and within a week my old system was removed and my new system was installed. The installation took only 8 hours and the two men sent to do the work were skilled, focused, polite and did an excellent job. I received an estimate for a new central/heat/air unit, then checked back a year later, and was quoted several thousand dollars more. Latest problem was with a furnace that I knew what needed fixed (but was too busy to do myself at this rental). Was told no, it's the thermostat. Charged $65 for a service call with no work done. Didn't even offer to change out the thermostat. So, I changed it. Problem continued. I called them back, they would not waive the service call fee, and insisted to charge it again if they came out and recommended me put in a new furnace, and blamed it on a heat sensor in the duct work, which this furnace doesn't even have... Got the number of a HVAC guy from a friend who listened to me, and fixed the problem I thought it was. A simple pilot light adjustment. Used to be a good company, can't say that any longer. The woman who takes calls is very pleasant though. I'd recommend her for a job anywhere.
