I love this store and have had very good luck in the past with purchasing rugs and some beautiful furniture pieces. I continue to return fairly often, checking out what's new and seeing if there's anything I can't live without. There's a huge selection of rugs of every type downstairs, and furniture is up the escalator. The prices are a bit high on some pieces but reasonable on some others, and there are final clearance items in the back. They also have nice home decor, wall hangings, and mirrors, and great prices on "poufs" in every pattern and color. The most disgusting customer service ever! Went in to learn about rugs and trying to figure out what was the best choices. Instead of the sales people asking can I help you, they take the easier route, "any questions". Yes. Then I asked, got an answer followed up with "any other questions"?. Went in and ordered two dressers from them. They said that they would have to order from manufacturer and it would take up to 12 weeks for them to arrive. (You have to pre-pay for them to order for you). 12 weeks go by - I hear nothing- I called them, they told me the tables came in damaged and they had to reorder- they didn't think they needed to let me know this info. Another 3 months go by and again I am wondering the status- I call them and this time it takes them 30 mins to find me in the system?!?! They then say another 2-3 weeks, well that would be Monday- but shocker I have not heard from them. Buyer BEWARE... cannot say how disappointed I am in the lack of customer service and ability to deliver! read more

Don't go because of the ads. Asked to see the rugs that are discounted BIG on the television commercial. I was taken to a small selection in the back of the store. I have had very nice service at Rug and Home. My first visit, I bought an oriental rug and the salesperson was helpful, and I learned from her. On the second floor I bought a beautiful Theodore Alexander table. The saleswomen was excellent. My third visit yesterday was great. I bought a small oriental rug. During my recent visit I saw that nothing has changed. Still same employees, still unfriendly and rude(I'm not talking about the guys who load/unload, they seemed nice). Me & my girlfriend went into store to look for rugs since she is remodeling her home, also I was hoping to find furniture there also....We entered, salesman to our left, did not greet us, did not say hello, how are you, can I help you...NOTHING!!...BUT when the white couple with their 2 children were behind us came in..it was all smile, how can I help you?...now I am seeing racial bias (yes me & my friend are black women)...I was very annoyed and upset...a gentleman (black) saw we were looking around, came to assist us...wish I got his name, but KUDOS to him.. Buyer beware! My husband and I bought a couch and a few rugs from Rug and Home. The couch was promised within 6-8 weeks and took closer to 11 weeks to deliver. The delivery went as scheduled and the color of the throw pillows were incorrect. We waiting yet another 6 plus weeks for delivery of the correct pillows. After immeciately alerting the sales person by phone and email she sent us an email giving us a few options. One of which allowed us to keep the incorrect pillows. The pillows arrived again WEEKS later. I went to pick them up and was treated like a criminal because I didn't have the pillows that were shipped incorrectly. Pillows that in an email we were told to keep!!! Now, if we do not return the pillows we are being threatened with a charge of $440! Summation of Buyer beware: 1) They want prepayment or at least a half deposit on any special orders! Should have been a clue there! 2) There is NO follow up on special orders unless "YOU" the consumer follow up! 3) Their mistake is your problem! I love my couch and rug but, if I could return them both I would! I HATE the experience and the poor customer service in this store. We will NEVER be back and BUYER BEWARE!!!! read more
