My wife and I came to Dental Solutions Algodones about a month and a half ago. We had gone to our…read moreusual dentist here in AZ and they stated we needed approximately $8k in treatments between the two of us. I had seen a program about 3 months prior that talked about the high quality of dental care available at the "Molar City" in Mexico (aka Los Algodones). Remembering that show, I did a bit of research online and decided that Dental Solutions would be our clinic of choice, and I'm so glad I made that decision. First off, getting there from the Phoenix area was relatively easy. Just like taking a trip to Yuma. The border crossing was a very smooth and easy process and once on the other side we called a number gives to us by the clinic and were picked up in their shuttle car by a friendly and personable driver. In reality, the clinic is walking distance from the border (about 4 blocks) and we actually walked back, but the shuttle was a nice option as well. The clinic itself is a newer 3-story building, well constructed and designed. It had the same quality of design and feel as our regular dentists' office in upscale Scottsdale. The front desk staff was friendly and the check-in process was rather simple and straight-forward. In minutes after check in my wife and I both headed back separately and were examined and evaluated by the staff. Everyone spoke clear English and they confirmed what work needed to be done. The cost for all the work that was suggested was approximately 25% of what we we were quoted by our US dentist, and even with adding Zoom whitening it was still drastically less than what we would pay in the states. A big positive was that they freely accepted IS credit cards including Amex, which showed me that they have confidence in the work they provide given the patients power to dispute with cards. Once we had our procedures it went very smooth.. The dentist and dental techs involved were friendly and communicative and did a great job. All the equipment was new and state-of-the-art--again feeling no different than our Scottsdale dental experiences. A month and a half after doing work and everything feels great. Our teeth are healthy and white. We will be going back in September and bringing our teenage kids as well. As an added bonus, the city of Algodones is quaint and charming and we enjoyed a nice lunch and some shopping afterwards. If you need major dental work don't pay insane prices just because you live in the US--I'd strongly suggest you give Dental Solutions a call. You'll get great care and service at a price that is affordable without sacrificing quality of care.

And honestly no need to shop around and look for other dentist in Los Algodones. This place has the best prices, best services, and everything is included with in their price (I called 15 different dentist getting quotes from them and understanding how prices might go up...this place was by far the most transparent and willing to work with you). Martina, the business manager, was absolutely amazing to work with and really helped us out on pricing and figuring out how to get my parents mouths back into great shape (thank you Martina truly for everything)! I also walked around Los Algodones many times while here, and their accommodations are by far the nicest. Included in their price is transportation from and to the airport (Phoenix or Yuma), a stay in their very nice and clean hotel the entire time you are getting dental work done, a nice homemade breakfast, and first class dental work. You just need to figure out how to get to Phoenix or Yuma airport and they do the rest (except lunch and dinner). Their staff is absolutely wonderful and they have a dental specialist for everything (except braces). They have dental specialists in root canals, crowns, veneers, oral surgery, denture fitment, and their front desk staff is wonderful (figuring out transportation for you any time and getting your prescriptions ordered/delivered in 5mins or less...thank you Luis!). My mom, dad, and I all traveled down here for dental work. This was the first time my parents had ever left the US and they were so nervous and concerned about their care. My mom needed extensive dental work with getting teeth pulled and 10 dental implants, and my dad needed lots of fillings removed, 5 root canals and 10 crowns. While I was here I also got my veneer replaced and got my gums worked on. Dr. Hector, Dr. Francisco, Nancy, and Adrian were absolutely incredible working with my mom on oral surgery and denture fittings, being so patient and supportive every step of the way. Dr. Chan, Dr. Allison, and Daisy worked on my dad for 5+ hours for 3 days straight to get his teeth back in really great shape. And Dr. Estefany and Dr. Manuel made my smile look so beautiful with my new veneer and gum lifting! No one would know I have a fake tooth right in the front of my mouth. Needless to say we are leaving very happy! I know this is a long post, but these people deserve it! The level of care and attention to all 3 of us was unreal. And no I wasn't paid for this...I just want for more people to use their incredible service and want to help take away any concerns people may have about coming to Mexico and to this dental clinic to get dental work done. We were so nervous and concerned before coming, and are leaving so happy and ready to come back! I have already recommended this place to other family members! Needless to say, I highly recommend!!

My LA dentist quoted me $7,700 for 7 crowns spread across 4 appointments with a 2-3 week wait for permanents. Dr. Rodrigo's process was seamless -- day one included a thorough evaluation, X-rays, and all 7 teeth prepped and fitted with temporaries that fit perfectly. Day three the permanent zirconia crowns were placed AND whitening completed, and I was out the door in under two hours. The entire experience saved me thousands of dollars and weeks of waiting. What sets Dr. Rodrigo apart isn't just his technical mastery -- though it is exceptional. He is a true perfectionist who noticed details other dentists had missed entirely, explained everything clearly, and never once made me feel rushed despite my many questions and moments of understandable anxiety. Over the following years, I had to return approximately six times due to ongoing problems with the same teeth. Each visit required a 12-hour drive each way and several days of travel and lodging. The issues I experienced included: - A bridge that failed within the warranty period - Crowns that cracked and required replacement - Implant-related complications - A root canal that an independent U.S. dentist later confirmed was not completed Despite multiple visits to allow the clinic to correct these issues, the problems were not resolved. I provided the clinic with documentation, including their written warranty and independent dental findings, and formally requested reimbursement of $10,000 USD for defective and incomplete treatment. I did not receive a response. I am sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision before undergoing treatment.

I had waged a losing battle with periodontal disease for 30 years. When it came time for me to consider a full mouth restoration, I did a great deal of on-line research, comparing the credentials, reviews and stats of several clinics. I reasoned that the sweet spot would be somewhere that did a high volume of implant procedures (practice makes perfect) for which they received overwhelmingly positive reviews and boasted a long list of solid credentials. I eventually settled on Supreme Dental. Working with their amazing customer coordinator, Ernesto Carranza, I was quoted a total package price of $24,950 which covered all extractions, placement of upper and lower all-on-6 posts, temporary dentures while these posts healed and integrated with my bones, and the final, permanent titanium/zirconia implants. The price also included full IV sedation for the initial extraction and post-implant surgery, and all accommodations at the clinic's in-house hotel. I scheduled the first of my two required visits in late February, 2026, and planned the second visit for the end of May. I flew Into Phoenix and utilized the clinic's free airport shuttle (shout out to my driver, Fransisco) for the ~2 hour ride down to Los Algodones and back. (They also offer shuttle service to and from San Diego.) During my initial exam, the CT scan revealed severe bone loss in my upper jaw. Dr. Luis explained that, for my implants to be successful, they would need to implant two special types of posts - zygomatic and pterygoid - that would anchor to my cheekbones and skull, respectively, instead of my upper jaw. Fortunately, Dr. Luis had the training and experience required to place these types of implants; unfortunately, their use would increase the cost of my procedure by $11,000 to a total of $35,950. I agreed to this higher price. (I did take advantage of a 5% discount offered for all-cash payment, bringing my price down to just under $34,000.) This is a lot of money, but considering the cost of the same work done locally would be around $100,000, I think It's a pretty solid deal. The skill and care demonstrated by the entire Supreme Dental medical team, from Dr. Luis down to the dental technicians, was superb. The clinic's tools and techniques are as modern and safe as any found in the US, and the customer service staff is excellent. When my second trip was disrupted by a series of mechanical failures on American Airlines, forcing me to delay my trip by two weeks, the clinic staff took these challenges in stride. Now, there are a few less-than-ideal facets of my experience to be aware of. First, Los Algodones (aka "Molar City") is a small town focused on dental tourism. It is very much a BORDER town, and not a RESORT town. The ~10 blocks that make up the business district consist of dental clinics, pharmacies, a few opticians (new eyeglasses can also be found at very low cost), a few restaurants and a grocery store. Bring something to do or entertain yourself with if your procedure requires overnight stays, because you will find very little to do there. (Nearby Yuma, Arizona requires taxi rides or a rental car to access and doesn't offer that much more in terms of entertainment options.) Second, the clinic's in-house hotel is clean and convenient, but also very basic. Picture Motel 6, not the Marriott. So, if you can endure a few days of spartan living and self-entertainment, Supreme Dental offers an excellent nearby option for US dental patients seeking top-notch care at roughly 30% of US prices.

Based on that conversation, I felt confident enough to move forward and travel for treatment. When I arrived at the clinic, I was initially treated very well--everyone was welcoming and friendly, which I appreciated. However, when it came time to go over pricing, I was quoted a completely different amount than what I had been told over the phone. When Noemi checked with Ernesto about the discrepancy, her attitude toward me became rude and dismissive. I even asked to speak with someone else because of how uncomfortable the interaction became. Despite this, I still went ahead and paid for the service. Later, I called Ernesto directly to clarify the situation, hoping for a professional and respectful conversation. Unfortunately, that was not the case. He went on a rant, did not allow me to explain my concerns, and made an inappropriate comment saying, "just because we are Mexican." I immediately told him that I am married to a Mexican and that this was not relevant to my concern. Instead of listening, he continued speaking rudely to me for about 15 minutes. Overall, this was a very poor customer service experience, specifically from Ernesto and Noemi. It's incredibly frustrating to travel from another country expecting quality care--especially based on positive reviews--only to be treated this way. Over $4,000.00 in the U. S. For one implant. Two will be $1,500.00 there. May be a little more because I'll need to get a bone graft on one of them. I had a tooth pulled in U.S. and it cost over $1,000 with the bone graft but with insurance. I will add another review in November after the metal implant is in.
