My wife and I came to Dental Solutions Algodones about a month and a half ago. We had gone to our usual dentist here in AZ and they stated we needed approximately $8k in treatments between the two of us. I had seen a program about 3 months prior that talked about the high quality of dental care available at the "Molar City" in Mexico (aka Los Algodones). Remembering that show, I did a bit of research online and decided that Dental Solutions would be our clinic of choice, and I'm so glad I made that decision. First off, getting there from the Phoenix area was relatively easy. Just like taking a trip to Yuma. The border crossing was a very smooth and easy process and once on the other side we called a number gives to us by the clinic and were picked up in their shuttle car by a friendly and personable driver. In reality, the clinic is walking distance from the border (about 4 blocks) and we actually walked back, but the shuttle was a nice option as well. The clinic itself is a newer 3-story building, well constructed and designed. It had the same quality of design and feel as our regular dentists' office in upscale Scottsdale. The front desk staff was friendly and the check-in process was rather simple and straight-forward. In minutes after check in my wife and I both headed back separately and were examined and evaluated by the staff. Everyone spoke clear English and they confirmed what work needed to be done. The cost for all the work that was suggested was approximately 25% of what we we were quoted by our US dentist, and even with adding Zoom whitening it was still drastically less than what we would pay in the states. A big positive was that they freely accepted IS credit cards including Amex, which showed me that they have confidence in the work they provide given the patients power to dispute with cards. Once we had our procedures it went very smooth.. The dentist and dental techs involved were friendly and communicative and did a great job. All the equipment was new and state-of-the-art--again feeling no different than our Scottsdale dental experiences. A month and a half after doing work and everything feels great. Our teeth are healthy and white. We will be going back in September and bringing our teenage kids as well. As an added bonus, the city of Algodones is quaint and charming and we enjoyed a nice lunch and some shopping afterwards. If you need major dental work don't pay insane prices just because you live in the US--I'd strongly suggest you give Dental Solutions a call. You'll get great care and service at a price that is affordable without sacrificing quality of care. read more

Dental Solution provides great service when it comes to the dental work that they do. One thing I would have appreciated is their front desk be transparent when it came to the total price of the service. Be aware there is an additional 4% international fee on top of the total amount if you use a credit/debit card which they did not explain when they went over what they recommended I needed done. I am very désappointed! I came from Canada and was very clear about my need: a butterfly (wedge) bridge. they gave me an appointment and it should have cost me 170 usd. But when I went to my appointment, they try to sale me something else 500 or 700 or around 1400 usd..... saying that it was a better option, that what I had was an old technic etc. After many négociations I just finally decide that I just want what I was suppose to have.... To finally being told that they don't do the kind of bridge I want.... What a deception with all the cost it was to flew to Mexico from Canada.... 6 month later I was back to Dental Solutions. My 2 implants looked good & Dr. Jose Manuel finished the work. I'm back home with my beautiful smile! I had such complicated case (4 other old implants were done in US and Europe) but the team managed to succeed. They found all needed tools and screws which is insane. 1st day they did fitting and it went well and 2nd day I had few new crowns "installed " on both old and new implants. First off you don't know if you're seeing an actual dentist or a receptionist. They quoted me the highest amount they could possibly quote me to take out all of my teeth and then do implants at the top and the bottom, claiming that I didn't have a good bone which I got other consults and one of them actually both of them said that I had really good bone so there became a trust issue and I didn't go with them. I had my work done at smile care center or Care Smile Center, and I am really happy with the crowns that I had placed on my teeth and the implants that I had done I'm not yet sure if the implants took I go back in September. read more

Ok...firstable i wanna thank Dr. Estefannia who did my All on 6 replacement teeth, from taking the impression until finish. She is a great dentist, highly skilled. Also i wanna thank Dr. Pili and Mitzi who gave me a special Gift.....(Thank you very much)..... Here is my story..... I got my All on 6 dental implant with acrylic teeth back in January 2015, and then 8 years later i came back for a replacement. After doing X-Ray, the result was great, i would say no bone loss around the implants. I decided to go with top of the line material, which is All on 6 PEEK Zirconia (PEEK Framework with individual Zirconia crown). They have Acrylic, Ceramic, Zirconia and Peek. I compared between Zirconia and Peek and i chose Peek because its lighter than Zirconia. So far, i'm very happy with the result. If anyone need a replacement all on 4 teeth, this is the place to go. I waited a month to write this review to be sure my dental work wasn't causing any problems; and it isn't. If you're worried or nervous about going to Los Algodones for dental work well then you're not alone and I fretted and researched a lot before making my decision to use Dental Solutions which truth be told was my second choice but my first choice, Dr. Parra, was much more expensive and not as responsive to my emails and calls. I travelled 7 hours and 3,000+ miles to go to Mexico for dental work because it was less than half the price of my regular dentist. If you're worried too just relax and it will be alright; in fact you'll probably be surprised how well your dental visits go if you chose Dental Solutions. They know American's can be a pain in the ass with all our demands but they smile and do their best to make us happy and save us money; which is why we're there in the first place. I had two root canals, two crowns and a sinus lift done at Dental Solutions (sinus lift was at their sister clinic 'Dental Del Rio') over the space of a week and a half. Luckily I have family in Yuma across the border so a long stay wasn't an issue. My root canals needed a second round a week after I had them done because that happens with root canals sometimes so if you're getting a root canal in Mexico just be aware that root canals are tricky (do your research) and sometimes require a second or third attempt to remove all bacteria. Ask the dentists for some pain meds and they'll pop over to a pharmacy to get you some. All in all I am pleased with the work done at Dental Solutions and Dental Del Rio and will probably go back in six months time for implants. read more

I have been using Dental Solutions since 2016. I really loved DDS Xochipilli Bojorquez. Her work on me was nothing but great! When I started going there, it was basically a family business. Since 2016 they have expanded the business. I had my four front teeth extracted & 2 implants started. My screws were done by DDS Xochpilli. The screws failed I returned & saw Dr. Cesar Herrera. He removed my screws & did "an extensive bone graph". It as 60 to 90 minutes of pure hell. My gums were opened & filed which ruffly (See attached picture) & cleaned out. I was in terrible pain my face was so swollen & bruised from the DDS. holding my jaw so hard, you can see the two areas where his hand was placed. I had to drive 4 1/2 hours home by myself. He stated in months from now I could return & have the screws put back in. He said in time you'll need all of your teeth extracted. I have had my DDS in USA tell me my gums had improved greatly since having my 4 implants done. If I keep up good hygiene, I might keep my teeth for the rest of my life. I called months later & spoke with Dr. Cesar Herrera regarding an exact treatment plan. He stated the new screws would be implanted again, then after a period of time return to have implants placed. The cost would be $1800.00. I called again & the receptionist IM the DDS to confirm my treatment plan. She called me back within 15 minutes after getting a reply stating it would be a two day treatment cost $1800.00. So I rented a house in Yuma ($200.00 for overnight stay. My husband wanted to go down with me & we have a 100Lb. puppy we had to bring with). So on January 20th I arrived at the clinic at 9A.M. Dr. Herrea sent me for an X ray. Upon returning from the X ray Dr. Herrea came in the exam room & told me we need to extract all of your teeth & do all on 4, that will be $8000.00. I said I don't have $8000.00, I brought $1800.00 to pay for the treatment plan agreed upon. After I told him I didn't have $8000.00 he said to me, "I'll be right back". I sat in the chair for 20 minutes. I got up & walked around looking for him. Didn't see him anywhere. I went up to the receptionist & asked where he was. Her response was, "oh he went over to our sister practice". I called my husband & he said, "leave now. I'll meet you at the boarder". I have been so upset from this DDS Cesar Herrera that it has taken me a month to sit down & write this review. I am a business owner (45yrs.), I really understand that people can be revengeful & outright mean. So this was not done out of revenge. It was written to let others know about my experience. I went last October and was quite happy. I needed all on 4 on top and thought all on 6 on the bottom. They told me the bottom teeth weren't bad and just needed crowns. I had the crowns done and 1 implant on the bottom and 4 implants on top. I went home and a couple days before Xmas the implant on the bottom came out and one on top came out. I made another trip in January and told them to not replace the bottom implant, only the top one. I asked them to check the others and they said they looked fine. I came back 6 months later hoping to get my permanent dentures put in but after sending me for a CT scan they said none of the implants held and they were very sorry they had to come out. They said the only option would be to schedule a procedure to be done in a hospital in Mexicali where special long implants would be put in and the Dr. had done it 28 previous times, all successful. I declined as I live in Georgia and had lost trust at that point. My crowns on the bottom had also shifted and I asked them to fix them and they never replied. I also asked for a partial refund but was told they had done the work but it just didn't work and they don't refund anything. I was extremely disappointed. I would trust them to do minor work but I would stay away from Implants there. Maybe they are just to busy to check their work. I don't know. I also know there are a lot of dentists in town to choose from and good ones also. I just don't have it in me to do a 4th trip and be disappointed again. read more

Searching for a dentist is possibly one f the most harrowing personal medical experiences. One only begins the search after a certain amount of pain has occurred which by nature is debilitating to the calm thinking process. I was told by an Orange County, CA dentist that I needed 3 crowns and 3 implants. Then saw Another Parra who stated maybe a crown could help or maybe a root canal? I left both scenarios instinctively. In this office they diagnosed that my teeth are fine and there is a small dent in my filing which they filled for $50, Instead of $20k in California. They're excellent Caring dentists who do their best to save your natural tooth instead of overselling a procedure that is unnecessary and actually detrimental for me but profitable for them. This is the best dental place I have ever encountered! I have seen a total of five dental clinics in Mexico, and this is my forever place! Our crowns and veneers came our way beyond expectations, two friends I sent here for implants are equally impressed. Straight forward prices, that are listed online, no surprise fees, high quality materials with all the choices. They even accommodated my rather exotic request to have a gold core inside my crown! I had an incredibly positive experience at Dental Solutions in Los Algodones. Because I had the time and ability, I drove to Yuma and then crossed the border to Los Algodones. The border crossing is a little bit of a hassle as it closes at 2pm, so it's best to plan a stay in one of the nice hotels in Los Algodones if you need a multi-day treatment. Through Yelp and other review services including Google and Facebook, I had identified three practices that were pretty highly rated, so I got consultations at all three. One practice gave me an estimate that was more than twice the price of the other two, but they also suggested three or four implants, which I really didn't want because of the restoration time and return trip(s) needed months later. At Dental Solutions, I was given an estimate that was very reasonable and less than 1/3 of what it would cost in US. The original consultation was done by Dr Xochipilli Bojorquez and everything she promised was more than delivered and they stayed to the schedule she estimated. The actual dental work was done by Dr Mendoza and he is truly an artist in his craft of cosmetic dentistry. He did replacement of numerous crowns which were loose and failing ( basically a full mouth reconstruction ), with Zirconium crowns ( and 2 permanent bridges ), which are very natural looking. After 3 weeks, there is no spacing at the gum line, they are solid as a rock, and my friends and family notice a huge difference in my smile. If needed and you can afford it, definitely get the Zirconium, as the ascetic appeal is much better than the older porcelain/metal crowns. I found my dentist! I have never been a guy who wants to go to the dentist. Luckily I have enough sense to brush regularly. No matter, time has caught up with me. Let's start with the staff - They are all super nice, helpful and you really feel that they are happy to help you.
