I kept getting my breasts botched out here, so much so that I became desperate and explanted my implants. I was on the hunt for two years to find the perfect doctor and I feel really lucky to have finally found Dr. Wegerif. During the consultation, he was beyond compassionate. He listened and even joked around when I needed a good joke. He sat in the room with me for too long and never rushed me. He made it seem like he wanted to be there and answer every single one of my repetitive questions. Now...why is this team different? You have no idea. This team blew my mind and I'm not sure if it's just because I'm used to snotty LA doctors but this team brought me to tears. They left me in awe. I flew in the night/morning of my consultation so I was beat and to be real, kind of over it. I had a mini breakdown in the consultation room and even panicked to consider canceling the procedure altogether. I was scared and to be honest felt a little doomed. And he got my stomach flat and my back rolls down from 2 to 1. lol. So that definitely boosted my confidence and I'm forever grateful. I then came back mid January for bbl and lipo 360 and so far I am loving my results. He is so kind. But also know that in order to get answers from him you have to have your questions ready. He soft spoken and is a man of few words. The nurses in the waiting after surgery are a little bitchy but that doesn't bother me because I can be very bitchy as well. That is something that they can work on, is how they treat patients after having surgery. But I also hear this about other clinics not just Smart Plastics. However I will be returning to Dr. Shanklin to finish the next phase of my weight-loss and plastic surgery journey.

But on surgery day, while he was marking me, he changed his story and told me I actually needed a tummy tuck and that he could only take a very limited amount of fat out, saying I needed to diet and exercise. If I'm supposed to diet and exercise, then why on earth am I coming to you? What am I paying you for if that's the solution? It felt like he just didn't want to take out much because he was trying to rush me. He had 10 or 15 more people to do that same day. After surgery, I was in a lot of pain. Be aware that they don't give you any pain medication through your IV in recovery -- the anesthesia only puts you to sleep. You come out of anesthesia with nothing for pain and have to wait for the person picking you up before they'll discharge you. They don't give you any paperwork or paper trail. They make you sign so many papers and don't give you anything, not even your receipt. I asked over and over for my receipt and they wouldn't give it to me. I was in Miami for five days before going back to Los Angeles. On my second day of massages, I kept asking for my paperwork and receipt because I had to pay for my massage package. When they finally gave it to me, I noticed they overcharged me for everything. When I tried to speak to someone about it, no one was there or the office was closed. It's been two weeks since surgery and I have not been checked on. No one has called to see how I'm doing or to express any concern. They shut you down, they overcharge you, and they don't do good work. I noticed he took out very little fat and what he did take out is uneven. I think he did one swipe on each area. It was a waste for me to pay all that money and go through so much pain for a botch job. I'm still in a lot of pain. This is a horrible doctor. Do not go to Smart Plastic Surgery at all. But if you're still thinking about going anyway, do NOT choose Dr. Pittman. They are money hungry. They will rob you and barely do thing.

The receptionist,Vanessa, is so so friendly and accommodating when scheduling appointments. I only had to wait a few minutes before going to the ultrasound room. The lights in the room were dimmed down which I really appreciate as it made the room more comfortable to be in. The ultrasound technician was very kind as well and made the 15 min process very comfortable and easy. She even took the time to explain what we were looking at on the monitor. Both Dr. Rashmi, and Hall Murthy are fantastic doctors and humans! Both are so knowledgeable and have a great approach towards medicine by integrating traditional allopathic medicine and alternative medicine techniques - they really do the best for patients.

I have come to know both Dr. Murthys and their staff over the past few years. I am beyond pleased with the expertise of the doctors. Whether it has been for a cold or something more complicated like a strange allergic reaction that my allergist couldn't even diagnose, they have been incredibly professional, timely, extraordinarily knowledgeable, caring and personable. I feel so "cared for" when I come to their office. I know they are genuinely concerned about my long term well-being and for me as a person. Interestingly, Dr. Rashimi Murthy, the daughter who is my main doctor, also made sure to check things that other doctors haven't even bothered to check. For example, she identified that I am deficient in numerous vitamins and nutrients which explained why I had been so tired for such a long time. We embarked on a plan to replenish my body's stores and I slowly got better. Prior doctors had tested me for thyroid problems or assumed I was suffering from depression or just plainly gave up on trying to help me. I also have to stay that all of the members of the staff at this office are extraordinarily friendly and helpful. I always feel welcomed when I arrive, which has not always been my experience at other doctor's offices in Miami. Thank God for both Dr. Murthys. If you are looking for a new doctor, look no more. Here is my update as of 6/18:…read more I had an appt last week but was unable to make it because I was held up at work. I received an apolegetic voicemail from the dr prior to meeting him today. He was very polite and explained possible reasons for the burns. He took pictures for future reference, and the girl who did the treatment was also present. He said that he found it strange that I was burned because I have had laser before. Dr. De La Rosa assured me that the technician was one of the most experienced in the office and showed me sign-in sheets to prove it. He then proceeded to show me my charts that showed that the laser was at the same settings both times. Dr. De La Rosa informed me that he is meeting with a representative from the laser company to see what could have gone wrong and asked me if I would be able to be a part of it. The doctor gave me a lighetning lotion called elure to help the scarring and also offered me a procedure free of charge for my inconvenience. My friend will be visiting him next week so he can help her with her burns. I do appreciate the follow-up and the attention, but in the end I was still burned. So much for a summer at the beach. I did up my review by one star because the doctor did seem interested in what happened and gave me the attention that I needed. I do give him full credit for taking responsibility and ownership of his business and the procedure that went wrong. However, I was still burned, I can only hope that the cream prevents scarring. I will be updating after my next visit in about 3 weeks.

Everyone was nice the day I had the treatment, but despite that I still got burned. It either appears the technician does not know what she is doing or their machine is no good. When I called back about a month later the receptionist told me that it was normal and it would eventually go away. LIE! Then she proceeded to tell me to use an exfoliater in that area. Of course to try to scrub off the burn marks! So basically I still have the veins, but now it looks even worse than before because of the burns. I wish someone would have reviewed this place before I went. I wouldn't go to this place for any type of treatment. And I still haven't recieved a refund for the prepaid sessions I am not going to use.
