My first time going to RuPaul's drag race. Didn't expect much. I'm not so much into drag queens. The show started out hokey and then just built from there. It was really great. So it's worth a visit. I understand from our friends that it's a big mixture of different drag queens change on a regular basis. THE ONE DOWN SIDE!!!!. Don't order drinks there. My husband ordered a double and he said if there was alcohol in it, they must've used an eye dropper. It was $34 for a double of mostly fruit juice and mixer. highway robbery. I LOVE my queens! I've been to this show a couple of times now, and it never disappoints. This time was extra special because I was lucky enough to attend as a personal guest of one of the queens, and I was totally fangirling. The show was incredible. The queens put on such a high-energy, gorgeous performance, and their outfits were absolutely stunning. Getting to meet them afterward and take pictures was definitely the highlight of my night. They were all so kind, warm, and complimentary, and I was in heaven. The rest of the staff was wonderful too. The drink we ordered was delicious, though I couldn't even tell you what it was called because I was too distracted by the queens to pay attention. The stage setup was beautiful, and the attention to detail with the props and production really made the whole experience next level. I'm so happy I got the chance to go and even happier I got to meet the girls. If you haven't been to this show yet, and you are a RuPaul fan, you need to go! Seriously. I was blessed with 3 free tickets to a last minute, Saturday night show! Two gal pals and I went to the show with absolutely no expectations except to have a good time. Boy were we not disappointed! We were on Balcony level, and had a great view for the entire show. (A small critique for the queens - acknowledge us! We're in the room too!!) The guests attire were truly all over the place. Some were dressing up, some were dressing down. (Way down.) The show has us giggling and squeezing the entire time! I think the MC absolutely killed, she gained a fan in me. I had to laugh when there was literally an ad break in the middle of the show. All the ads were geared to other Ru Paul businesses. Get that coin!! This show definitely lived up to the Drag Race brand. There was a huge and energetic crowd in toe since it was Lady Gaga concert weekend, but I'm sure the show is entertaining no matter when you see it. I wouldn't say I'm a super fan so I didn't really research the show to see who is in it or what would be performed. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. Asia O'Hara was the host -- and I'll admit I barely remembered her from the TV show -- but "WOW" -- she was an excellent host and performer. It was thrilling to see Jimbo, Lawrence Chaney, Derrick Barry and Sapphira Cristal as a part of this cast. The choreography, acrobatics , costumes and humor are all reason enough for me to give a strong recommendation to see the show. Highly recommend, especially if you're a Drag Race fan/stan. read more

Decided to check out something different so we attended RuPaul's Drag Race at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino. We got seats right up front which were nice, but because there is a short stage runway, a little further back would have been advantageous. This show is very entertaining and high energy, and the performers are all talented and amazing. The staff here is very friendly, the venue is nice with good sound and lights, and overall atmosphere is good. This is definately a unique and one of a kind Las Vegas show to see. read more

Would never come back to see drag race live. I was told multiple times to not cheer for a show that was invited by the host of the show. Multiple other audience members were allowed to get as loud as they wanted. But my cheering was a problem. The point of attendance for a drag show is interaction between the fans and the queens. I have seen this show many times since it opened. I must say that Asia O'Hara carries this show beautifully with her sense of humor and keeps you engaged with what's going on. She's definitely a STAR! The other constant for me is Derek Barry. I've always loved his esthetic but thought that his dancing needed some help. Not anymore! He's perfected his moves and looks amazing in every aspect of the show! Last Friday, Kennedy Davenport, Pangina Heels and Latrice Royale were the newest additions for me in the Vegas show. I love them from their seasons and have much respect for them all. They are all AMAZINGLY TALENTED AND ENTERTAINING! If you're a fan of the show or drag queens, you must see this show. Alright, so as a long time fans of Drag Race, my cousin and I knew we needed to add this to our trip to Vegas. I'll admit, expectations were low because with these types of show, it can get real corny real quick. Not so with this RuView! This show was HILARIOUS, and I would 10000% come back and see it again - especially since the queens rotate! Do you need to be a fan of Drag Race to appreciate the show? No...but it definitely helps, as it calls back to many elements of the show. Asia O'Hara was the host for our night, and holy cow, she is incredible. She's come a long way from releasing dead butterflies live on stage, let me tell you. (IYKYK) But in all seriousness - she is genuinely funny and connects well with the audience. She is truly in her element and I am so happy for her. Not to mention, her costume changes were outrageous (in the best way!). So the room is set up like a cabaret stage. Instead of seats, there are cafe-style tables and chairs that sit maybe 6 to 8 people. While you're watching the show, you can order drinks via a QR code. There is absolutely *no food* allowed in the show, so if you're bringing leftovers, you're going to have to either bring them to your room or abandon them. Including Asia O'Hara, we saw a total of five queens from the show (this is July 2024) - the others were Yara Sofia, Pangina Heels (from Drag Race Thailand), Lawrence Chaney (From UK Drag Race), and Latrice Royal. Admittedly, not my favorite line up - but the queens turned it out, I must say! Pangina's musical number absolutely blew me away, and Lawrence Chaney was genuinely funny, breaking 'character' several times during the show to offer a quip or a joke. Latrice is Drag Royalty of course, but she wasn't as interactive with the audience as I would have liked. Also - as a side note - she had on no nails or heels, and you know if she was on the show, Ru and Michelle would drag her for that. Yara Sofia had her moments during the show, but she was the least entertaining of the lineup. There were times during the numbers where her lips really didn't match the song that was playing or her energy was just low - but I think that is her personality. Overall, this show was excellent, and I highly recommend ANY Drag Race fan to go see this while they're in Vegas! read more

My husband's friend wanted to see RuPaul's Drag Race so we went as a double date. My husband and I had never watched the show, so we had no clue what to expect. The line to get through security was so long, so give yourself enough time to get through it. The costumes were well done and the show had great stage design for such a small theatre. As far as drag... I don't have a problem with celebrity impersonators, as acting was always a traditionally male sphere with men playing all parts. Derrick Barry was exceptionally convincing as Britney Spears and he captures her facial expressions flawlessly. I have a pretty traditional feminist critique of non-celebrity impersonator drag so I'll just cut this review short. If you're a fan of the show, I'm sure you'll have a good time. A very fun show, well put together, with tickets that are more affordable than many other performances on the Vegas Strip. RuPaul's Drag Race Live is performed in a theater at the Flamingo which appears to have once been a dinner theater, as most patrons are seated in semi-circular booths or at tables for 6. It feels a bit odd that they don't simply have typical theater seating, but sight lines seemed to be fine. There's a snack bar (which also offers alcohol) in the far left corner that can be a bit odd to get in and out of, but it works, and they also have table service available, though from what I saw, people that ordered from the roaming service staff sometimes waited a very long time for their drink orders to arrive. For me, just as entertaining as the show on stage was seeing all the big, burly men who were obviously talked (or coerced) into seeing this show with their wives, either not enjoying themselves or not willing to admit it. They tended to drink heavily and not really watch the stage, while their wives yelled, screamed and cheered for the working girls. There also appeared to be a fair amount of diehard fans of the TV show in the audience, who knew and loved the performers they'd seen on TV. read more

The show is entertaining, colorful and interesting. The costumes are creative, beautiful, eye-catching and flamboyant. It seems that the outfits match the actors' personalities. It amazes me how fast the actors do costume/hair changes quickly. We sat in the VIP section where views are sideways. I recommend getting seats behind the VIP section - see theatre map. Pictures are allowed during the performance. They had t.v. monitors where they show pictures of the actors not in costumes and where the actors talk about themselves. This helped me understand the actors better. You can see that the actors enjoy performing which makes the show great. The male dancers moved with lots of energy, had good rhythm, and fluid. While in town for a conference at Caesar's, I wanted to get out of the hotel and stretch my legs so we took a walk across the street to the Flamingo and noticed that RPDRL was playing. As huge Drag Race fans, we decided to see if we could get some tickets and after a few minutes on the Ticketmaster app, we'd secured two seats for a Friday night show. The theater was packed with a friendly crowd and the energy was great. That energy ramped up even more as Asia O'Hara came out to host the show and introduced the various queens along with the Pit Crew. From the moment it started, it was a positive, uplifting, high-energy experience. The production values were impressive. Seeing Plastique Tiara descend from the ceiling like an angel was a highlight. Even more impressive was the number of costume and wig changes Asia O'Hara went through during the 90 minute show. I tried to count but lost track....however the attention to detail in all the costuming, wigs and choreography pays off big time. There was so much to see. This is truly a heartfelt spectacle with themes of acceptance, love and community running throughout the show. There was some fun audience interaction as well. One nice thing was that every member of the Pit Crew got an introduction, which I thought was great as they are an integral part of the show. Asia O'Hara was an excellent host. So funny and quick. Some of the queens we saw included Latrice Royale, Kahanna Montrese, Derrick Berry and Kennedy Davenport, who was my favorite of the show although the were all amazing and had lots of opportunities to showcase their phenomenal talents. If you want a show that will energize you and uplift you, this is the one. I would definitely return. read more

If you like Drag Race, you'll love this show! Such talent and it was great to see familiar faces. We sat in a large booth, about three rows from the front on the left side. We had a server come to see if we wanted drinks near the end of the show. We decided it was too close to the show's end, so we declined. The theater was lovely and seemed updated. But the Flamingo.......yuck. It was so crowded and it reeked of cigarettes and marijuana. All the Security personnel were very nice. I wouldn't return to the venue, but the show was fun. 10/10, highly recommend. read more

Well third time is a charm!! We booked/cancelled tickets twice during the pandemic and finally made it happen for my birthday in 2022. Persistence pays off! Great show and great experience. The theatre is much more intimate than it appears when booking seats online. Anything on the main level will be a great view. Tables and banquettes. I did notice some cozy seating arrangements where people were seated 5 to a booth. On the night we visited, the line up was: Asia as host Latrice MF-Royale Kennedy Newark LaGuardia Davenport Darrick Barry Plastique Tiara Yara Sofia The stage was animated with LED lights and made everything blossom with color and visual appeal. Music, stage, dancers all seemed well synced and no issues. We didn't drink really so we are boring. Asia was a great host and went hard! She had us laughing and people were good sports. Lots of audience participation and the meet n greet afterwards was a quick but nice photo op. Masks and vaccination cards are still required for MNG!! The tickets for the show and MNG all showed the same time which seemed confusing. The meet n greet is actually after the show. They have you cue up outside the theatre then you can go back in and meet the queens from a distance. Overall, we felt like it was a great show for the price and made a fun weekend of it. read more

If you're not familiar with the show and enjoy a rocking good time, you should absolutely go! My wife and I had an absolute blast at a Monday night show with a rocking crowd, great music, dancing and beautiful people. The show is truly a show, with "competition" as the driving force. There is minimal audience participation but if you get lucky you may be called up on stage for some fun and easy going interactions! There isn't a bad seat in the house that fits plenty and is a great balance of intimate and large enough to have a party. The servers were amazing in handling orders and payment, truly some smooth operators. I can't say enough about the entire production and how wonderful it was and the joy it brought. I was super excited to discover that there would be actual contestants from the tv show performing live. I've literally have watched every episode of Drag Race, including All-Stars, Untucked, UK, etc.. So I'm familiar with all of the queens. The show itself was very entertaining and exactly what I expected. There was never a dull moment, and my eyes were glued on to them the entire time. The costumes, the music, the props, the lighting, the dancing, the singing were spot on! Both my daughter and I were in aw the whole time. The show was nice. I am a fan of RuPaul, so I am glad that I was able to go. The place looked very elegant. Drinks are expensive. I got myself a blue moon, and my partner got some margarita tangerine drink and a small bag of popcorn, and it came to almost $40. You can get the drinks yourself before the show or wait for the waiter to come around. Absolutely no food allowed, so either eat before or after the show. The show was 1 hour 30 minutes long. The theatre is not too big so you can see the stage production from not afar. The ticket price depends on how close to the stage you want to be. A great show, and great staff giving great service! The show was high energy and it was great to see Drag Race favorites doing what do best! The drinks were tasty, and a House of Love strawberry daiquiri hit the spot with a good balance of ingredients. Also, being in a wheelchair with limited walking mobility, the staff was helpful, got us situated early so I could be in place and comfortable and not feel like a an outcast! As a lover of RuPaul's Drag Race, I was incredibly excited for this show and it did not disappoint. The venue is small and a little crowded but it was perfect as we were so close to the stage and there wasn't a bad seat in the house. When I saw reviews that it was scripted, I was worried it would be too phony but it was absolutely fantastic. The queens had gorgeous makeup and costumes that were larger than life and their dances (and the back up dancers) were incredible! There was fire, lots of splits, and even queens dropping from the ceiling. The acts were all incredible and everyone was so talented. Loved the experience and can't wait to go again to see a different set of queens! read more

One of my coworkers love RuPaul's Drag Race and had to stop by this show when we stopped by Las Vegas for a conference. Located in the Flamingo Hotel, RuPaul's Drag Race Live lives on a stage towards the middle of the casino. If you've ever watched the show, you'll be happy to know that the live show takes clear inspiration from it. Instead of contestants creating a costume to be judged and dance for their lives, this show takes a handful of some of the All Stars from the show to "compete" in dances and to entertain you. In the show I saw, the most memorable performances were by Derrick Berry who imitates Britney Spears. All of the sets were elaborate and the production value was clearly very high. Each performer really knew how to get the crowd going and had great engagement throughout. All in all, great experience that showcase the best of RuPaul's Drag Race that even someone who has seen only one episode of the show would enjoy! read more
