Definitely plan to go early because the GPS will drop you off to the parking lot and then you will still have to walk another 10-15 minutes before you reach the venue. It's inside the Rio Hotel and you have to take the elevator to the fourth floor from the parking lot. The venue itself was hard for me to find inside and I even had to ask a few people for directions. Eventually, I reached there twenty minutes late but the woman who checked me in assured me that the show had just started. After being seated, I had a great time! Jimmy Kimmel was hosting the showcase and it was great seeing him live in person. It also didn't take the server too long to reach me for my order. I got nachos, some ginger beer, and had some great laughs :) The nachos were delicious! Highly recommend if you're in the area and just need some laughter therapy.

Brad called us out for arriving late once we got seated he reminded us that the show started @ 8pm & made a "joke" about us being late because I was giving my friend a BJ... :-() Soooooo if you're sensitive & don't like to be picked on than don't get a seat in the front row/close to the stage. Brad was picking on one couple up front & an older big guy who was with his parent's. I can't even put what he said to them on here because it wasn't very nice. Lynne Koplitz was the comedian for the night and she started off really weird. I felt like she was really nervous and wasn't sure what jokes she wanted to tell, maybe not really prepared?? But as she got warmed up she got better. She was nice to the audience & wasn't "picking" on them like Brad did. Showroom was packed. Our cocktail waitress came over to us soon after we sat down. My friend got the Border Patrol speciality drink & it just tasted like a margarita. I got the "bitch" drink which was tasty but one was enough for me. We got to keep the plastic glasses. Bathrooms were clean & had some nice decor & magazine covers of Brad. Security & door staff was nice upon arrival to the venue. After the show my friend saw Brad outside talking to some people who attended his show & he asked me if I wanted to go over & get my picture with him. I walked over & had asked him for a photo...I think he was still mad @ me for arriving late to his show....SORRY BRAD!! I'd definitely come back to this venue.

The staff ans servers are extremely friendly and attentive. The drink menu is good and they also sell very good popcorn (cash only for the popcorn). The comedians we have seen here, including Brad Garrett himself, have all been great and funny, and often engage with audience members. The also have restrooms inside the comedy club itself, and outside they have another lounge area with live music on weekends. Overall, I had another great time here.

Carlos Mencia is intelligent, funny, brave and experienced. This was even better than his older…read morematerial. It was more controversial and full of wisdom, reality and laughs. Hecklers stood no chance against him because he has the knowledge, historical facts and U.S. laws and the solutions to America's problems. He also appreciates being an American and hates those whiney folks who don't understand freedom and what people in other countries have to endure. He includes reminiscing from our Gen x childhoods and actual factual history. I laughed the whole time, yet it also appealed to my brain and my concern for politics. He is the real deal and also discusses his recent stint in jail. Carlos Mencia is an American treasure! The venue was small so all seats were excellent. And he invited the entire audience to an intimate after party with karaoke and promised to be the las one to leave which could be 3am. GO SEE THIS SHOW! I get it the club was a Monday night so not the biggest crowd nor the top acts but when half the time the comedians are telling us we are the problem for not laughing. I mean there were 75 of us and we all agreed you were not funny. All three acts told the same drinking, sex, and drug jokes. Drinks were good and food was good. We saw the Julio Comedy Variety show and had a great time!…read more The show was very entertaining, included a lot of audience interaction, and had everyone laughing the whole time. I especially loved the balloon swallowing trick during the second act. That one had my group thinking about it for a long time. You can get beers in here for $10 or mixed drinks (wells) for $12, or if you buy a bucket of beers they will cut you a deal. You can also buy an all you can drink package for $30 but for me I can't drink that many drinks in a show that is barely over an hour so I didn't do that. I did enjoy my Vodka Orange drink though. The venue is nice and the vibe is very chill. The workers were all super friendly. Picking up the tickets from the box office was easy and the whole experience was great. I definitely plan to come back and see more shows here.

That's fine with me! :) It was perfect too because the show is walking distance from where I was staying at the Quad. So, I saw the show on a Tuesday night at 7:30pm. The theater is located inside Planet Hollywood. It's small and intimate which is good. So, pretty much we weren't that far from the stage. There is a two drink minimum, but that's pretty standard everywhere you go. Well, at least that's how it is in LA. LOL I came into this with no expectations and I actually really liked it. The comedians were for the most part funny. And the burlesque dancers were sexy! I don't think I would pay full price for this show but I wouldn't mind coming back either. It's a collection of jaw-dropping circus acts, comedy, and "how is this even happening right now?" moments stitched together with a very loose thread. It's wild, a little raunchy, super impressive, and totally committed to its own chaos. The performers are insanely talented, and the energy in the room makes it feel like you're part of the show even when you're just sitting there trying to process what you just saw. Definitely not your typical Vegas production - but that's exactly why it works! Go in blind, lean into it, and just let it be weird.
