I'm looking for peg board, another employee leaning up against a lumber cart on his phone. Another group of employees just chatting away. If management doesn't care to monitor the conduct of their employees why should I spend my money there? Then checking out, I politely asked the cashier 'How's your day going?' I then heard a prolonged, uncomfortable, discussion about their medical problems. There's an old management saying, 'Don't expect what you don't inspect'. She was professional, friendly, patient and extremely helpful! We looked at the fans on display but then we sat at a computer to see what was being sold online. I knew specifically what I wanted in both ceiling fans and I had a general idea of what I wanted in an outdoor wall lantern. With Jesslyn's patience and guidance, I ended up ordering my 2 fans and outdoor light! I could not have done it without her! She is a true angel! Before doing so, I specifically asked if my card would be charged twice, and I was assured it would not. Unfortunately, I later discovered that I was charged twice for the same items. When I brought this to the store's attention, they refused to issue a refund and even went as far as to justify the duplicate charge to my credit card company. Only one of the transactions has a signature, and the second charge appears under a different system ("SQ Southeastern Salvage"), which raises additional concerns. I spoke with someone who identified themselves as the store manager, but they insisted both charges were valid. This has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I strongly encourage others to carefully monitor their receipts and credit card statements when shopping here.

The Barrel Shop in Lynchburg is adjacent to their main gift shop in the adorable little downtown (only area of town?) section. Inside you can find gorgeous items made from used Jack Daniels barrels. Just as a sampling they have - bar stools, mini bars, serving trays, pub tables, chests, wall bars, birdhouses, keychains, boxes, rocking chairs, coasters, and planters. I didn't find the prices to be all that bad either though a tad on the high side - $70 for a planter but keychains were just $5. Jack Daniels doesn't use their barrels twice so they have to do something with them! What better souvenir to get from the distillery?! Everything is very nicely crafted, I must say. If you spend $10 here (and at many of the other shops as well), you'll get a free Jack Daniels shot glass. Shot shot shot!

We walked around the showroom for 20 minutes waiting on a salesperson to free up. Their selection of twin headboards was one. We needed a bed quickly for my MIL so we agreed to buy the one headboard and frame. We had to order a twin mattress and were assured it would be in on Monday for a Wednesday delivery. Tuesday I ask hubs to call the store to ensure they have the complete bed and are on track to deliver the bed on Wednesday. The representative tells him the mattress did not come in Monday. We emphasize we need the mattress and are given a loaner. If our mattress comes in Wednesday morning, it will be delivered is what we are told. Wednesday morning the headboard, frame and box spring are delivered along with loaner twin mattress. We are called and told that the mattress we ordered will be delivered Thursday. I go to the assisted living place to meet the delivery team and as they put the mattress on the floor I realize it's the wrong size. The guys called the store and were told they had the wrong mattress and to return to pick up the correct mattress. They wanted to remove the loaner mattress. I told them their chances had run out and I was keeping it until the purchased mattress was delivered. MIL would be on the floor if I didn't keep the loaner. Thirty minutes later hubs received a text that the purchased mattress was not part of the delivery from Chattanooga. I will update this review when we receive the purchased mattress.

Was kinda scared after reading the reviews about the chair I bought but laughed when I saw that people were complaining that the chair didn't last fifteen years. (My last lazy-boy only lasted 4 years with repairs every year). Both lazy boy and the pallister theatre chair were basically the same price. And the pallister looks to be built better. Time will tell. Sales staff are fun to work with and helpful. Delivery guys were great.

My husband and I came here in search of a china cabinet / hutch and found a beautiful hardwood Kincaid at a great price. There were a surprising amount of options and styles, too. They have a discount system based on how long the items have been there, so if you shop on the first day of the month you might get some steals. We happened to be in on the last day of the month near closing time, and negotiated successfully for the lower price the item would have been marked down to the next morning. They can also arrange delivery. The guys who delivered our piece were very polite and careful. It was all around a great experience. I would go there again next time I'm furniture shopping.
