    Cabinets To Go offers a high-quality product (plywood boxes, hardwood fronts, dovetail joints on drawers, nice finishes, and no particle board). Great way to buy cabinets, especially if you don't have time to wait for manufacturing. You can also save considerable money by electing to assemble them yourself (they are shipped unassembled in flat boxes), if you are handy. Local staff in Huntsville were quite helpful in designing our kitchen addition to suit our space (see photo). My only complaint is that local staff have inadequate authority to resolve problems (we had an installation charge issue relating to work that wasn't done), and higher up, corporate staff have been inflexible. Our problem has not been resolved to our satisfaction. The company HQ staff we have dealt with thus far don't seem to care about fully addressing the issue. They made up their mind about what they were willing to do (which I made clear was inadequate), have ignored simple facts of the situation, and did not back up and support the recommended solution from their local Huntsville staff. My recommendation would be to buy their cabinets (because they are good), but hire a third party yourself to install them to avoid the kind of problem we experienced.

    I initially left a good review because there was a promotion where you could get a percentage off of your purchase for leaving a good review. I've had a poor experience and I've been trying to work it out with Cabinets to Go. I've given them a chance to make things right, and so far there hasn't been any movement. We purchased cabinets, countertops, a sink, hardware, pretty much everything but flooring from C2G in July 2022. Our installation began the first week of September 2022. It is now mid February 2023 and our install is not complete or even close to complete. We are nearly six months without a functioning kitchen - no hooked-up sink, stove, microwave, unfinished cabinets, etc. and we're paying good money for this. I've called the Huntsville store multiple times, and they asked "have you talked to the installer?" or after about each third call, would put in a work order. I would reach out to the installer weekly, sometimes daily. They would say they would come out and not show, over and over again. I would get fired for that. I found an email address for the CTG HQ and I reached out at the end of January to let them know what I was experiencing, and they said our situation has been briefed to the President of Installation and they were checking into it. It's now two and a half weeks later and still no installer and still don't have a way forward from Cabinets to Go. Called G2G Huntsville yesterday and they were actually apologetic for the first time since I've been calling. They said they're going to check into reassigning an installer or getting a refund and I should hear from them this morning, but it's noon and no one's called. They've also said that I needed to send them pictures and list of what needs to be done. I'm not a contractor - how am I supposed to know everything that's left to be done? I can tell you what I see, but that's by no means a definitive list. I also have concerns that if a new installer is assigned through C2G, how do I know that I won't just be doing this again but for another six months? I've asked multiple times for a completion date and all I get is "we can put in a work order for you." These are JUST the problems we've had with installation. We've also experienced issues with billing and with the delivery. Why is it that it took six months of not having a functioning kitchen for them to just now check into assigning a new installer or providing a refund? I personally believe that should have been explored months ago. We've given them multiple chances to take action and make it right, and there hasn't been any action. At this point, I just want a full refund for installation and to find our own installers. Edit on Feb 15 2023:I've already been in contact with the email provided in the reply from the C2G business manager. In my review where I mentioned that I found contact information for C2G HQ, it's the same email provided by the business manager that replied to this review. I've been in contact with that email for nearly 3 weeks and still no movement on installation or resolution. I still emailed said email with the information requested in the below reply, and I've sent pictures and a list of what I think needs to be done to multiple emails, as requested, although i find it to be out of my scope as a customer. It's my opinion that C2G should send someone out to assess what's not complete and should also be the one tracking that information, not the customer. We're updating our kitchen so we can sell our house, and our realtor said her install on their recent flip took one day from C2G. Our experience caused her to reconsider purchasing additional cabinets from cabinets to go for six upcoming flips. Update on Feb 17th: I spoke to the Huntsville store and they were very understanding today. I asked if we could get our sink and appliances hooked up in the next few days and found out today that it is not included as part of our install, which is disappointing. We did look back at our sales invoice and it does state install is for cabinets, butcher block, and assembly, which we overlooked, so we take responsibility for that oversight. It would be nice for that to have been stated when we bought our cabinets and really hammered home. There is a chance it was briefly mentioned and we don't remember. It was really driven home that demolition wasn't included with the purchase and installation. Communication has been very broken during this experience, but C2G did start communicating with the installer this week. I should also add that the installer installed our backsplash for free (we purchased the tile) because of the time it took to install our cabinets. 2/24/2023 - our cabinets are now finished and I've changed my review from one star to two star. Our cabinets look great with the exception of a poorly painted gash on the side of one of our cabinets that doesn't match the color or texture of our cabinets. This spot is the size of my fist.

    I am doing something that I have never done before... I don't believe in posting negative reviews, but as a business owner myself, I have never witnessed or experienced such poor customer service. I purchased $30,000 worth of cabinets and countertops from Cabinets To Go, the cabinet installation was done on August 3, over two months ago. Some of the cabinets came in damaged, but hey that stuff happens right? They came out and replaced one cabinet that was damaged, and replaced a door that was designed incorrectly and it opened the wrong direction. I have a pull out trashcan, that is still not completed, I have a section of granite that was cut an inch and a half short so there is that gap between the countertop in the wall. I have one cabinet door that still does not have a pull installed. Supposedly, all of the parts are at the local store, I say supposedly because I have been told for the last month that they have them and that someone will be right out to make those repairs. I keep being promised that it will be sometime this week... Or sometime next week... Or we will be out on Friday at 3 PM, which was the case today. The store manager is well aware of the situation, either my wife or myself have spoken to her 2 to 3 times a week for the last month. I'm sure she's at the point right now, where she doesn't want to hear anything from us, and to be perfectly frank, I want nothing to do with the store. I've been on the phone this afternoon attempting to contact a regional manager and have yet to have a phone call returned. I own a real estate company, as well as a real estate investor. I deal with contractors and installers on a daily and weekly basis, I have never witnessed such incompetence and lack of caring in my entire career. I would recommend to anyone that is looking for cabinetry, the quality of workmanship let alone the price itself is no discount... $30,000 for a kitchen is not a cheap install. I invest in properties many times throughout the year, and I have had custom cabinets done for less money, I thought I would give Cabinets To Go an opportunity to earn my business... I will not make that mistake again. At this point, they have cost me a lot of money, I currently have a property that is not ready to rent and each day that goes by I am losing money. potential renters would come into this place and see the shoddy workmanship and question everything about the home... I have spent almost $200,000 on the rehab and for $300 worth of parts and 30 minutes worth of work I will potentially lose $10,000 by the time this house is 100%.
