Yelp limits the number of characters you can put in your review and this is one review that I could not leave out any details out of. I am so frustrated and upset! I rarely ever leave reviews; great, good, or bad...but this has to be said! I encourage anyone who shops at this store regularly or who wants to learn a little bit more about the company culture to read the pictures below, in order. And to be Frank, this actually involves two stores, and the online ordering system, making this a systemic issue with all of Rural King as a franchise. The culture promoted and tolerated within this franchise is disgusting and the lack of professionalism and business knowledge is wholly subpar. I genuinely have no idea how they are as successful and as big of a frandchise name as they are. If I felt this was a one-off, bad luck, special circumstance issue, I would not have made this lengthy review, but the entire experience screams of this being the cultural "norm", being accepted by employees (all the way up to management), and being a systemic problem within the entire franchise that needs immediate attention and swift correction. Rural King is a great place to shop for just about anything. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The chicks are cute as can be, and they have free popcorn when you come in. They have clothing, chickens, hunting equipment, food, and so much more. Highly recommend Rural King. read more

Absolute rudest store in Lebanon - Rural King is as bad as the defunct Big Bear. The employees act offended and bitch at you if you ask them a question about literally anything regarding the store or stock, and this has happened to us on multiple occasions. The checkout person often won't even bag a bunch of items and leaves them loose on the counter until you ask. Many employees seem to go out of their way to be jerks. Employees are unknowledgeable here... a guy in the engines and yard stuff section told me they didn't stock a kind of "pure gas" that I wound up finding on my own a couple minutes later. Prices on some snacks are OK, and they have some canning supplies, a lot of pantry items and some bulk items, and a large selection of inexpensive bagged spices. And of course tools and Carhartt clothing, etc. If you can't find "it" at Home Depot next door it may be sold here. Just don't expect to receive anything approaching decent assistance. (PS: It's really not "Food and Stuff" as Ron Swanson prefers. The store isn't based, it's just crappy.) read more

Watch out for when the Cashiers ring out your purchase!! It says one price on the shelf and then when they ring you out, the Price is $1, $2, $3 higher than it is supposed to be. I have been there 2X within the last month & they did it to me both times. Coffee is $9.99 on shelf & $11.99 when they ring you out. Plink garbage disposal Freshener & Cleaner $2.99 on shelf, $3.99 at register, Presto Reclosable Freezer Bags $8.99 on shelf & $9.99 at the register. A shovel was $19.99 and it rang up $34.99 at the register. I caught that one when the Cashier rang that out. I showed her a picture of the price I took for $19.99. She had a Manager change the price for that. I will be calling the Store Manager today to let them know of the prices they are charging people. It is definitely an ongoing problem for Rural King to charge a higher amount for items when getting rang out! THEY HOPE THAT YOU DO NOT PAY ATTENTION WHEN YOU ARE GETTING RANG UP! Great prices for pet supplies and work clothes for my husband. My dog loves to go with me to shop

This is the worst experience I've ever had at any store. It takes hours for them to do anything at all. I called and it took almost 20 minutes for them to answer the phone. After spending an hour to pick up something I already paid for they wouldn't give it to me and tried to sell me things I didn't need or want instead. The sales associates are no help. You can't get a manager to help you to save your live. Go to tractor supply or Menards for your needs. And there are multiple better places to buy guns from, like anywhere else. If I could give no stars I would. They still owe me almost three hundred dollars, but won't give me a proper refund because of a sale price. Not happy or satisfied at all. Worst company ever. Oh I love the store I love Rural King it's like a good store to find other gardening and stuff you need for like dogs and cows and stuff like that and blankets for horses and I can't find as many good things like shavings and salt blocks in food at other places that don't get a good price but Rural king it's is the best price I've ever seen in anything read more

Great place for all of your outdoor farm and garden related needs. They also have a great selection of workwear for men women and children.

I give this place 5 stars. That's 1/10th the number of stars on the American flag. Coincidence? I think not. I'm talking camouflage recliners, vats of generic brand cheesy poofs, guns, and grass seed. The staff is pretty cool and the prices are lower than a Walmart employees benefit package. read more

I have two problems with this store. First is the number of items that are not priced. Second is more distressing, and that is the number of open check-out lanes. Was up yesterday around 3 p.m., a sunny, late winter day which tends to bring out those anticipating spring and hoping to pick up a few items. Two lanes were open but one was tied up with some kind of a customer or check out problem. Being 8th in line of the operating lane I was over 20 minutes being taken care of. Discussion between us in line was that this is not unusual. read more

Rural king is great! I will never buy a pair of Justin or Ariat boots anywhere else. you will pay at least $15 more at other stores or online. they have great sales and pretty often they have great rebates sales off the entire store. Be sure to come by in the spring when they have the baby chicks and ducks, they are adorable! read more
