The London chapter of MoMonday's has the highest turnout of most of the events in North America. Cool eh? Theres a 2 hour window before the event where you can network with other attendees. There is a bar which is nice if you need something to take the edge off. The thing I find about MoMonday's is that a lot of people are very open to talking. I'm kind of shy and I was still able to meet a lot of people my first time. Heck, I even found a fellow Yelper! When the show begins, there are 3 speakers, a halftime game show and some more time to network, and 3 more speakers. The speakers prepare 10 minute long stories about their lives. Whether it is combating mental illness, dealing with a sick family member or a serious accident or death, to just doing something they love, every story is different and meant to open your mind to realizing the potential out there in the world. I'm at a time in my life where I'm not sure where I'm headed exactly but I need to start taking charge in order to be the person I would like to be. This is the perfect event if you are looking for a pick me up, some inspiration, or just a way to network with new people.

At the center of a traffic roundabout in Railway City, this 69-foot-long 20-foot-tall artwork is…read moretitled "Perseverance" and it is by artist Scott McKay. It was unveiled in 2019. It took the artist over 5 months and over 1000 hours to create from thousands of components. Built by hand, it was installed with the help of a crane. Built from weathering steel, the rust is a design feature and adds to how absolutely awesome it looks. There is a trailhead parking lot nearby and while there are no crosswalks at this roundabout, carefully wait for a break in the traffic to cross. Enjoy! I don't know how well enforced it is, but feel free to give your parking receipt to someone else when you leave. $8 seems a lot for a waterfall! I was here in July so nothing frozen and no fall colors but still magnificent. a 21 meter (64 foot) cascade roars away. The path through the woods is very well marked and easy to follow up it's clear that some folks think it's okay to wander off the path. I stuck to the route and the observation platform. Partly because I'm a rule follow and partly because I'm the clumsy sort that would fall and hurt myself. Leave only footprints, take only photos. I was in the area with family in August a couple of years back…read more The trail was really short from the parking lot. The Falls was pretty though a little crowded and busy. There will be people walking in the water. Be careful if you are walking through the water. Also, there are giant rocks and logs to sit on. I feel like Tiffany Falls is somewhere you go in the autumn. You would see the leaves being colors. There's a small fee enter (around $11/vehicle). It's done through a park kisok. You can use the same parking ticket at Sherman Falls within around 2 hours or so. The price not too bad for vehicle with at least 3 people. The parking area is really small. If you visit in the afternoon, you are going to wait a bit or park at Sherman Falls and walk (around 20 min) to Tiffany Falls. There isn't really a closer relatively larger parking lot.

Tip: If possible, leave your purse in the car! It may weigh you down and be harder to climb over…read morerocks. Following the address on Google, I ended up parking at Cliffview Park (free lot), walking down a flight of metal stairs, cutting through another parking lot, then a golf course, and through a fence to the falls. I believe you can also park at the bottom of the metal staircase, but I'm not sure if that lot is for club members only. Once you climb through the cut fence, it's a matter of navigating through scattered rocks and boulders along a stream, straight to the waterfall. Rocks can be loose or slippery, so wear the proper footwear. Do not wear your nice, new, white runners 'cause the surrounding area is full of red clay, so your pants/shoes will get dirty. Waterfall wasn't at full stream when I went, but it was pretty and relaxing. Hike not for people with young children or strollers, so keep that in mind!
