Had an appointment today at 1:45pm. Took the day off work and drove 40 miles to see Dr. Vivian. At…read moreabout 3 mins away, my GPS disconnected. I pulled over to call for directions. It was 1:36pm. I told the receptionist that I needed directions and she said she would connect me to the Fort Worth office. I was on hold for about 10 minutes. Karen at the Fort Worth office answered the phone and I told her I was in the neighborhood and just needed the final directions to the office. She said, "I'm sorry, but it is past 1:45pm and we'll have to reschedule your appointment". It was 1:46pm. I told her, "But I'm right here. I'm 3 mins away. Plus I took off work for this and drove 40 miles." She said "I'm sorry. We'll have to cancel your appointment." So they did. I did a u-turn and went all the way back home crying; plus I won't get paid today because I don't have a doctor's note.

She will let you go without your medications ---- on her own choice. I am an over the road driver, and made the appointment that she asked, but still would not give me medications. I would have to wait, until the next appointmen. ----My new doctor in the same building, assures they will never let me run out of my medication. He is compassionate, caring, and knowledgeable. Even with his many years of practice he will not hesitate to pull out the book and look up a new meds information to keep you safe, and will patiently work with you to find what the root of your health problem is. I will always trust him to keep my family safe and healthy not just throw pills at a non existent problem. Your wait will be a few minutes longer but it's because he gives personal attention to each patient not just a pop in and out doc.

I would rather pay out of pocket to see him than use my insurance, pay my copay of $35 and see someone else. Why? Because he actually sits and LISTENS to his patients. He doesn't put a time limit on your visits, he isn't rushing you through the visit and he will ask questions, order tests and even brainstorm with you to try and reach a diagnosis. I absolutely love my doctor and I don't know what I'm going to do when and if he ever retires. He is a Godsend!
