I paid for expedited personal service and gave explicit instructions that the court had ordered personal service only, meaning the documents had to be delivered directly to the specific individual. Despite those clear instructions, the process server decided on their own that personal delivery wasn't necessary and used an alternative method of service that did not comply with the court's order. As a direct result of their failure to follow my instructions and the court's directive, the individual was never personally served, and the court refused to hear my emergency petition. Their negligence caused even more delays, wasted my time and money, and jeopardized an urgent legal matter of mine.
