After following up, the office initially told me nail-and-mail service required a court order and that proceeding without one would be "bad service." This is incorrect and I had to point that out to them before they acknowledged the error and proceeded. They then estimated the corrected service would be completed by ~7/7/26. It wasn't actually completed until 7/10/26, and I wasn't sent the affidavit until 7/13/26, roughly three weeks past the original deadline, and only after multiple follow-ups on my end asking for status. Beyond the delay, the affidavit itself shows a roughly two-week gap between the last due diligence attempt (6/24) and the eventual nail-and-mail completion (7/10). I'm hoping it holds up in court since nail-and-mail is generally expected to follow closely after the underlying attempts establishing due diligence. If you need service completed on a time-sensitive matter, budget for significant delays beyond what they quote, and be prepared to double-check the validity of what you receive.

We need to take responsibility for some of the lengthy wait time if you want things to move efficiently have your items in order. This is a small store and it does get cramped, but I feel they are doing a great job given what they have to work with.

I was looking for a mobile notary who can come over the next day, and I received ridiculous quotes. I was calling numbers one after another and was just getting really frustrated. Not only were the prices high, they are also not available for next day. Then I dialled the Opal group. Finally, someone gave me a reasonable price and luckily they have availability the next day. I booked them right away. Ikenna was the guy I spoke with. He's very easy to deal with and just a really nice guy overall. Everything was organized and went smoothly - after confirming, I received the calendar invite for the appointment and the invoice (to be paid after signing). I like the fact that I got an email confirmation of the appointment right away. Unlike with others, I noticed it seems like everything is just a verbal confirmation, so you're not even sure if they're really coming over or not. Ikenna came over the next day as promised, and was even earlier than the appointment (he asked permission if he could come earlier), which is amazing. He even went the extra mile to print documents (we forgot to print) at the UPS store, which we really appreciate. Apparently, the old adage is true...you get what you pay for. My employer found The Opal Group via Yelp to perform remote Notary service. They were initially concerned because it was double the price of two others in my area that they found. Well, the first two they went with BOTH ghosted and cancelled on them. They finally folded, paid for Opal group and it made all the difference. He came on time and prepared, with his "A" game on point and made sure I was clear on EXACTLY what was require on the form and walked me through it. Communicative and made sure I had all fields on the documents accounted for. He was already familiar with the standard FBI fingerprint doc so he walked ME through it. Great customer service!! The Opal Group may have cost a bit more...but I understand why. Communication was really clear and the work...thorough. A small business, but hella professional. And friendly energy to deal with, which is like dealing with a saint here in NYC. Confirmed everything via Google docs within the hour that it took for them to drive from where they were to my location in Queens. Just seamless and stressless.
