It is probably more a typical country pub, and since it is away from the centre of Lismore, you can probably also call it a suburban pub. They did have a reasonable outdoor area out the back, but the thing is that since this is for the smokers, it probably isn't truly a beer garden. However, the pub itself wasn't all that bad, though it certainly wasn't one of the best.

Special room features include a waterfall shower head, jet tub, large TV, and free WiFi. There is also a beautiful pool area, and an adjacent parking garage. As of this writing, it is a new hotel so everything is extremely clean and works well. Light sleepers beware; you may want to request a quieter room.

Well, it seems that Nimbin isn't really one of those towns where everybody goes to the pub at…read morenight, but then again anybody who knows about Nimbin probably has a pretty good idea as to why that is the case, which is odd because it is probably one of the very few country towns that I have visited where the locals don't seem to frequent the place - it is really only out of towners, like me, that tend to do that. Anyway, as a pub it was pretty cool. There was a pretty awesome deck out of the back, and some great beers on tap as well. This place certainly seems to be geared towards a different type of clientele than your typical country pub. Oh, and the outside is pretty colourful as well.

The bathroom has a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash etc. this is all at a very low cost. The pool is quite large and quite invigorating. The rain water was colder than the pool. At night there are always people drinking at the tables near the kitchen area so it's easy to talk to new people. I stayed in the apartment rooms which are a bit quieter and consist of two 4-bed dorms with private bathroom and kitchen. I found this to be a great deal considering the price even if you decide not to go out at all. Hostel is also close to restaurants in the area and the Woolworths grocery shore, which is convenient. The bottle shop can be found near the grocery store if going for a quick beer run or whatever.

Central Byron Bay stay! We stayed five nights in a third…read morefloor one-bedroom apartment in a good location right in the centre of Byron Bay, just a short walk to the shops and restaurants. The apartment had a compact bathroom with good shower, washing machine and dryer, and a combined kitchen/bedroom/dining/living room area with flat screen TV. The kitchen was quite well-equipped with glassware, cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, fridge freezer, kettle, pod coffee machine, electric cooktop, microwave, oven, toaster, and dishwasher. We found our bed a little too soft for comfort - but that is just a personal preference thing. We noticed the parking is not secure as the gate is open during the day. At night, when the gate is closed, anyone can still access the garage via the building entrances which are unlocked all day. (Keycard accesses are not activated.) Note that there is no lift in this complex - so if you have mobility issues you will need to request a ground floor apartment. Otherwise, this is a great option for a central Byron Bay stay!
