They missed so many things in our appointments(for a start..pregnancy), had trainees doing everything in check ups and no senior vets even touched my cat (no wonder so much was missed) overcharge massively, sell you medication and services that your cat does not need, make you go through hell and treat you like scum if you rescue from abroad and to top it all off when you report them to VCMS to try and deal with their malpractice (after spending weeks emailing back and forth with them trying to solve the issue) and deal with the neglect they have put you thriufh they refuse a mediation. I'm left having gone through months of hell because they chose to not inform me of a medicine that could have helped me so much sooner- instead ensured they could have as much of my money as possible. Amanda is rude, arrogant and self righteous and only has your bank balance in mind. They'll probably just delete this comment and hide more, but something has to be said. I hadn't been in there in a long time so popped in today with my daughter in her pushchair. I tried to go round one side of the shop and there was not enough room for the pushchair so I had to go back round the other way. I always remember there being a lot of animals in there despite the shop being small but today there was only fish and some small animals , all of the bird cages were empty. The dish tanks looked like they needed a good clean and the fish didn't look as healthy as they should. All in all I was pretty disappointed with this petshop this time around.

Our dog Clive, a Romanian rescue dog came to Stephen for a month at 9 months old. Clive was being a…read morenightmare with other dogs and showing signs of aggression towards dogs and people. We were at our wits end and so upset that we couldn't seem to control or manage our beloved puppy. Walks were dreadful as Clive would go into meltdown mode and couldnt hear us and wouldn't listen to instruction or recall at all. He was aggressive towards a neighbour and we knew something drastic had to be done. Leaving Clive with Stephen for a month seemed drastic but necessary... on meeting Stephen we started to feel hope in a situation where we feared the worst. Stephen has a wonderful manner and relationship with dogs, they get him and he gets them. He really is the dog whisperer! After an initial assessment we left Clive with Stephen and returned home to our other dog Bonnie for a month without our crazy puppy. Stephen gave updates every week reporting on how Clive was becoming better with other dogs, we felt hopeful and happy for the first time in a really long time. After a month was up we arrived to collect Clive, nervous but excited about what was to come. Stephen asked us to stand in a field, he bought Clive in and we couldn't believe how obedient and well trained he was with Stephen. We called Clive over and he galloped over so happy and thrilled. Stephen taught us to use a long rope, prey dumby amd whistle with Clive, using treats so Clive would respond to commands and listen to us. We can now take Clive on long walks where he heels beautifully and the meltdowns have slowly disappeared. He's playful and vocal with other dogs but the aggression has gone and in its place an obedient lovely natured dog that we adore taking out and spending time with. It was last chance saloon before Stephen and we can't thank him enough for his love and patience with Clive. Don't hesitate to trust your beloved dog with Stephen, it really has changed Clive so much and the man is a miracle! Thanks Stephen and we will see you soon dog puppy follow up classes! We took on a 7 month old boxer and when on walks she was becoming aggressive towards smaller dogs…read more Walks were turning out to be very stressful and not enjoyable! I had tried other trainers but always came away feeling that we were getting nowhere and wasting our money. I found Stephen online and made the decision to contact him. He got back to us straight away with a no frills message to say he could meet us in a couple of days and if we were all happy our dog would stay for 4 weeks for residential training. I was very concerned about her being away from us for so long but we were at the end of our tether so went along to meet him. He automatically seemed to understand her and put our minds at rest about her stay. Again no frills!! We got a weekly update on her which were honest and reassuring. When we picked her up she was so happy to see us but noticeabley calmer. He showed us what we had to do and sent us on our way. She really is so much more responsive to us and her recall is vastly improved. Walking has become a pleasure again! We do still have to do training with her which she absolutely loves but he has given us the tools to make it fun for all of us. I would highly recommend Stephen if you are having problems with your dog.

They can do long and short stays here which is really helpful. The surroundings are amazing as its all forestry and fields so the dogs get loads of exercise. I don't own a cat but I'm sure they do a great job with those too.

We were almost ready to give up. However, once Martin started training with us, our dog's behaviour changed rapidly. Martin is loved by our dog and his patient training approach showed results very fast. Our dog is now much better behaved on and off the leash and can even walk at heel. Martin tailored his lessons around our requirements, suggesting practical solutions and always being open and honest about what we can achieve within the time we had.
