When it was time for the mani, every chair was full, with only half of the customers having a tech tending to them, the other half were sitting there waiting. I knew at that moment it would be another 2 hours and decided no thanks. I paid for my pedi and left. There are far too many high quality salons to choose from in Gillette. When I moved to Gillette (got married) I have to admit I was concerned for the quality of nail salons. I didn't know how good a place in Gillette could be (I'm sorry. Urban ignorance I guess). I started working my way thru all the salons; going at least 2x to give each a fair chance at my loyal business. I was told about Nails by Darlene and gave them a chance. Visit #1 and I knew THIS was the place! Very clean, friendly staff, nice size selection of designs, powder tips, pre-designed tips, etc and most importantly techs that know exactly what they are doing. Your 100% satisfaction is guaranteed and they vigorously stand behind that as well. Even if the design you chose and was done great, ends up displeasing you can change your mind before you leave they'll redo a different design free of charge and with a smile. For pedi fans their set up is equally as professional. As opposed to most salons in town whom offer a "basic" pedi or "The Works" for a higher price; all pedi's NBD are "The Works" for a good price. Chairs and tubs are always immaculate and as any halfway descent salon has their chairs do the full massage thing. Tubs are always rigorously cleaned after each client as well. They also offer waxing. They have a separate, small and nicely decorated room towards the back where they cater to all your basic waxing needs. Again; very clean and professional.

The lady that waxed me was so nice but it was a terrible experience and result. It took about 45 minutes and she seemed flustered with the wax. She didn't let it sit and dry long enough so that she had to redo areas. She also would slowly peel it back to check if it was dry. She asked if I was normally so red afterwards which I said yes just to save face. The result was also poor. Most of the hairs were broken and in about a week I could have used another wax. The price was also ridiculous, $80 and for the terrible job she did and excruciating pain from her lack of confidence. Not a good experience. Glad I don't live in that town cause there wasn't a lot of alternatives.
