Everything about my appointment was fantastic. From them calling me back quickly to schedule the appointment, to the questions asked during that scheduling to get me to the right stylist, to the tour around the salon. I had a wonderful and gentle wax done by Chloe (first time since before Covid). And then a EXCEPTIONAL hair cut by Ana who really listened to what I wanted with my thin, fine hair. I went there for Hair color, terrible, they do not know how to pick the right color, pretty hard to mess up blonde color, but they did!!!! I was referred there by a friend, but all my friend does is get her hair cut there! My bill was $174, and I left Nicole a $30 trip out of quilt. I will never go there and will never refer anyone! The owner didn't even care that my hair color was bad, and that I was not happy, terrible way to run a business. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! After I left, I talked to my friend, she called the owner, that she knows, they wanted me to come back, which I didn't have the time and to be honest didn't want them touching my hair again! They offered no solution when I was there, other then to wash my hair a few times and the color will lighten up (color that I just paid $204 to have done)!! read more

My old salon (that I was tolerating but didn't LOVE) was closing so I took a chance on Rustic Salon based on the recommendation of a friend. Wow! Salon love found! Ana was terrific and fixed my pixie that looked a little 80's boy band. Nicole gives my short hair the look I love. (Cute, not Golden Girls, Karen!) All the stylists are great but Ana & Nicole are my personal faves. They listen and give their input on my sometimes unrealistic wants. Sit down relax I am going to tell you a story. I was looking for a salon around me because my normal salon has a waiting list. Then I came across rustic salon on google it had good reviews and looked nice. I call in made a appointment for April,2,2018 at 6:30 (I am 16 my mom drove me then talked to the hairstylist and then left and said she would pick me up at 8) When we called in they said it would only be $85 dollars. I know that is a estimate and even if it double because I have a lot of hair it would be $170. Which is more then enough I have been to really expensive salons and they only charged me 125 to 175 for a all over color. Well after the hair stylist had there "Color consolation" (which is also really weird because I was not apart of it even though it is my hair they are dying but whatever) then they told me it would be $250 for my hair for all over color. Then I asked " Is the the color I choose because I can pick a different one because I can pick a different one" and then they said no it's not if you pick any color it will be 200-250. I am 16 I have a job and I make good money but I don't have $250 that I can blow on my hair. At literally any other salon is less than that. That's not even the worst part. I said " I am going to call my mom and talk to her about it" The lady walked away and rolled her eyes but anyways. I called my mom and she said "I would leave and find another salon there definitely trying to scam you out of your money because you're 16" and I said okay. Then lady was started blabbering about grams or something and that's how they measure to do pricing or something which is complete BS But I handed my phone to the lady and said "please explain that to my mom." The lady said okay she explained it to my mom and my mom wasn't having it. Then when I was leaving the salon an older guy was getting his haircut the lady started talking about me and my business to the older guy that was overdramatic which I was completely respectful and by that point I just wanted to get out of this dumb salon but I was waiting for my mom because I don't have my car. Now there might be good reviews but not everyone is going to have good experiences. That's what I've learned today. Now I'm going to go get my hair dyed somewhere else probably my normal salon where my hairstylist is the nicest person in the world even though there's a long waitlist it's definitely worth it. I also had to move my schedule around for this. The great part is it ruined my day because the people were rude and all I wanted to do was get my hair done. I'm never going there again also who has that kind of money for hair no one, and no I'm not just a kid complaining this is real stuff that happened to me and I am a human being that deserves respect just because I am a minor does not mean I don't have feelings. Also what grown woman talks bad about a 16-year-old because she doesn't want to pay for your $250 all over hair color. You don't even need skill to do a all over hair color I can do all over hair color with box dye not that I'm going to but I can know I realize they are different products but you're applying them the same way. So I would recommend the salon if you like bad attitude and very expensive hair color and not very well-known products so that's kind of creepy too. read more
