Overpriced basic cabin in the bush.
Bedroom, pretty basic but looked ok, even though the ceiling light was not working, there was a working lamp by the bed. There are no wardrobes to hang your clothes in, but for us it was no problem as we were staying just one night. What I could not stand was horrible smell of cigarettes. If you are a smoker then it is probably ok, but I can't really sleep comfortably in a smokers' bedroom. I can remember last time I stayed in a smelly room like this was back in 2011 and it was the cheapest motel in the US costing less than $40 per night.
Bathroom is quite spacious with a spa and a shower. Spa was only working on the highest, crazy bubbles setting. All controls broken/not working. Only on-off switch was somewhat functioning. Sadly, the water coming through the spa-jets was very cold. We gave it 10-15 mins to warm up but no amount of hot water from the tap could fix this freezing felling.
I liked that there was no mobile reception (Optus) and tv signal so poor that it was unwatchable. We played some DVDs instead. It felt like real escape from civilisation.
It is definitely not worth $332 per night (no breakfast). You can easily find this standard level accommodation in the area at $150 or less.
I really recommend using Booking.com if you decide to stay in this property. When I contacted directly, the price was +10% higher than a regular booking.com quote (no promo genius discounts). read more
