Instead, within just a few months, the leather began scratching from everyday contact--even something as minor as a fingernail, jewelry brushing against it, or a child's toy. I contacted customer service, provided multiple photos, and even had my claim escalated. The final response was that this is considered "normal wear and tear," so they refused to stand behind the product. I wasn't simply asking for a refund. I even offered to exchange the furniture for a higher-quality product and was willing to pay the difference. I just wanted furniture that would last for years, not show excessive wear after only six months. The issue isn't that I expected furniture to remain flawless forever. The issue is that this level of scratching from ordinary daily use is not what I was led to expect when purchasing premium top-grain leather. Had I known it would mark this easily, I would have chosen a different product. My family has purchased multiple pieces of furniture from Kane's over the years, and this experience has been incredibly disappointing. Instead of standing behind a product that was marketed as durable, they simply dismissed our concerns. Unfortunately, because of both the quality of the furniture and the way this was handled, my family and I will not be purchasing from Kane's Furniture again.
