I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Kane's Furniture. We purchased what was advertised as premium top-grain leather furniture because we wanted something durable that would hold up to normal family use. Instead, within just a few months, the leather began scratching from everyday contact--even something as minor as a fingernail, jewelry brushing against it, or a child's toy. I contacted customer service, provided multiple photos, and even had my claim escalated. The final response was that this is considered "normal wear and tear," so they refused to stand behind the product. I wasn't simply asking for a refund. I even offered to exchange the furniture for a higher-quality product and was willing to pay the difference. I just wanted furniture that would last for years, not show excessive wear after only six months. The issue isn't that I expected furniture to remain flawless forever. The issue is that this level of scratching from ordinary daily use is not what I was led to expect when purchasing premium top-grain leather. Had I known it would mark this easily, I would have chosen a different product. My family has purchased multiple pieces of furniture from Kane's over the years, and this experience has been incredibly disappointing. TERRIBLE COMPANY 1.You have to pay a delivery charge to get your furniture from Saint Petersburg warehouse up to the Ocala store. This is a cost the company should be absorbing. 2. They wanted me to pay for the furniture in full even though I wasn't gonna receive it for more than 30 days. They said I could put down a deposit instead but somebody who paid in full would would be first in line even though my purchase would have been before theirs. 3. No returns. Period. 4. I purchased a table and fabric chairs I understood I was buy fabric protection for $16.00 per chair. what I got was a spray bottle with solution to put on myself. not how it was explained to me at time of purchase. In a word "Misrepresentation". While this store is huge and has a great selection of furniture, we have discovered after the sale that this location is guilty of omission of the facts. Here are two important facts that the salesperson (who no longer works there) conveniently left off during the three thousand dollar sale... Fact one: A "lifetime" warranty on furniture is only 7 years, not the actual life of the furniture! Fact two: "Just let us know when you run out of the leather cleaner and conditioner and we'll get you more". What they didn't say is you have to pay for the S/H $14.95 Everytime. Is that going to "break the bank"? No, but that's not the point, it's the principle of the thing this is not how a good company conducts business. Having recently moved from Sarasota Fl to Gainesville I purchased a recliner. The delivery was scheduled for 4 days later. I updated my new address with the sales agent. When it came time to be notified a day out what the time of delivery would be, I noticed they were delivering my recliner to my old address. We have only bought our furniture from Kanes. The quality for the price (we buy when they have their sales) is a great deal compared to other furniture stores in Ocala. The sales people know their product very well and are professional and courteous. We purchased an electric leather couch and loveseat this time. The only issue we had was getting it to us in a timely manner. They kept pushing off our delivery date out farther so we called the manager and he took care of us. Went in to purchase a second sectional couch after a family member did. We ordered his a few years ago and picked it up ourselves. Not they want a $75 fee to pay to pick it up at the store! Fee to have it delivered to the store for pick up. $180 for home delivery and set up. $40 for them to have it drop shipped and dumped at the end of your driveway. Ridiculous to have to pay $75. Kanes furniture- Place is a joke and complete scam. Waiting on order from 8/21 that was supposed to be on 30 day back order. End of Sep they scheduled delivery but failed to tell me it was only part of it. Refused delivery and was told another 30 days. Now 60 days later, mirrors are still back ordered for another month. Nevermind trying to call the store since their number rings elsewhere and then gets transferred to them but calls won't go through as according to employee number is very busy so if you want answers you have to drive to the store. read more

Won't be buying anything from here again - just dealt with a horrific customer service experience including lies and an inability to make it right because "it's against our policy." We ordered a dining room table set on July 20th. Our delivery date was August 1. The delivery guys arrived on August 1 without one of the dining chairs. They explained that they were in such a rush to load their truck that they missed the chair and apologized. We had a birthday party in just 2 days and were counting on this new dining room space to account for the people coming, so we called Kane's to see if they could remedy their error within the next 2 days. They could not. They also refused to allow us to pick up the chair, but more on that soon. They rescheduled the chair delivery for August 8. August 8 came and went, and no chair arrived. I called today on August 12, explained everything, and asked when the chair would be delivered and how this situation would be remedied, hopefully in the form a refund of the chair. That is a reasonable solution in my opinion. The woman on the other end proceeded to say that the chair was backordered, but it was in stock now. News to us since that's not what we were told - and the person who refused to allow us to pick up the chair must have known that but didn't tell us! The earliest the chair could be delivered is August 22!! Over a week from now - and the chair is sitting there at the warehouse, ready to be delivered today! This is astonishing to me. I asked for a manager to call, and he did, and he proceeded to explain that refunds of any kind are "against the policy," but he's try to deliver the chair in the next week. He also wouldn't let us pick up the chair. I'm astonished that one little chair poses such a problem for the customer service here. They are literally losing a customer over a single chair. It's incredible, but it's unacceptable how they treated us, from lying about the backorder to waiting to deliver the chair for over a month from purchase date. My husband and I recently moved from Michigan to Florida. We need an entire house full of furniture. We began our search for two bedroom sets, one for the master bedroom and one for the guest room. We shopped around and found two sets that we like at Kanes. Although the advertising was very misleading to the consumer, we were able to purchase during the Fourth of July sale. We were promised guest room furniture would be delivered by July 12. We also received a phone call about four days prior to delivery to confirm. On July 12 we call to narrow down a timeframe when our furniture would be delivered and was told that it was not going to happen. Due to a management decision, our furniture was now postponed until the end of December. This is totally unacceptable so we canceled our entire order. With the reviews and this kind of customer service I was glad we found out now rather than later. I will never step at FOOT into this establishment again. Buyer beware. read more

Don't bother purchasing their furniture "protection" plan. Their description of what the service plan covers goes beyond puffing; it is a flat out lie. There is no way that after having a wet plastic bag on my table for less than three hours should constitute severe warping that I have experienced. The issue is the lack of sealant applied when manufactured. The top of the table has the appropriate amount, however, the space between the wood "slats" doesn't have any, causing water to get to exposed wood very easily. Kane's said that their "service repairman" deemed this issue non-warrantable despite being at my home for less than 2 minutes just to take a couple of photos. read more

(My hopes aren't set high at this point) This is now 7 months since we originally purchased this set. What a Chinese Fire Drill ! Bought a new reclining love seat less than a year ago. Reclining mechanism broke over a week ago. Called the store since it is under warranty. They sent a "Technician" out the next week. (that was today) He did not come to fix it, he came to take pictures and turn in his report to "Corporate." They will contact me in 5 to 10 business days to tell me when the part,(from Who Flung Dung, China) will be in and hopefully send someone out to repair it. Also, while the "Technician" was here, I showed him where the foam rubber was already coming out of the seat cushion on both sides of the love seat causing me to lean to the left and my wife to the right. Bottom line: While it looks great in the pictures and on the showroom floor, don't be fooled, it's ChiCom junk ! UPDATE FEBUARY 1, 2022: Today, Kane's brought me a brand new replacement and picked up the old one. It might be that because it is new, but it appears like this one is heads and shoulders above the last two we have had. read more

Would not recommend this Kanes Furniture store. Back in May I purchased a 3 piece sectional sofa along with a bedroom set. So far the bedroom set has not been an issue but the sectional sofa has been a huge disappointment. The cost was over $2000 and it appeared to be of good quality. Fast forward to October and I noticed the material warping in the back , which is very noticeable as it faces outward towards my open kitchen area, also, pilling and stretching of the material throughout the sofa. I live alone except for when my family's and friends visit and in all honesty , I allow my 2 dogs to join me on occasion to sit and watch a movie. When I called in January to report the issue they immediately sent out a representative who only reconnected the pieces to repair the gap between two of the sections but when I asked him about the other problems he actually laughed and said he doubted they would repair that. So when I called they reported to "corporate " and still nothing. What a huge disappointment. read more

This review says I live in Manchester TN. We do not.. We live in The Villages, Florida. We went to Kane's in Ocala, Florida, to purchase 2 recliners. Found two we really liked, bought and ordered them. Were told it would take 2 weeks because we wanted the protectorant sprayed on the fabric. We were given a delivery date of Friday, 8/21. They faithfully texted us about our pending delivery on Friday 8/21 every day, even Thursday, until someone from the delivery department called and said we couldn't get them delivered on Friday it would have to be Saturday. Then we got a text confirming delivery 8/21 but when we went to confirm it said delivery would be on 8/22. We still have the confirmation. There was no explanation as to why. We had a gotten rid of our other furniture in preparation for our new recliners and were having guests over that evening. We asked if it was impossible to get delivery and they said yes. No explanation or even apology for the inconvenience. Then I mentioned that we might pick the furniture up from the store, and the salesperson Annette jumped all over that. HOWEVER we never said we would be doing that, just suggested it might be a possibility.. We got a text saying our furniture was going to be delivered to us on Saturday. We called to make sure this was going to happen since we had received a confirmation but by this time we didn't trust them and of course they said no, we had to pick the furniture up at the store. Evidently they ran with my musings about maybe, possibly, picking it up in Ocala. Saves them time and money, of course. We never agreed pick up at the store, nor did we arrange for that. They told us it was now impossible to deliver the furniture at all on Saturday. We cancelled the order. We have yet to get a refund although they assured us they were working on the paperwork "right now" to refund us. We have filed a complaint and a dispute of charges. All the employees we talked to were cavalier, didn't care one way or another about the sale and clearly aren't interested in customer satisfaction. All we got from them, when we we said we were cancelling the order is, "no problem." Abysmal service, abysmal attitude. Gonna spread this far and wide. Ordered a king bed and mattresses, was told it would be a month. That was fine. Called to find out status, told it would be another month. Tried again a month later, told another month. Asked about getting the mattressees atleast and we would wait on bed. Went into store and they showed where we had asked for this, but forgot to inform out sales person. Finally got them to deliver the mattresses. Kept waiting for the bed. I found another place with almost the exact same bed. They dilivered it in days of purchase. Called Kanes to cancel bed, they said 3-5 days for refund. Called today, 7 days later, they told me the refund was never processes. I now have to wait again. I will never buy from them again. We spent a great deal of money on our sofa sectional. After 2 years the cushions are breaking down. They will not stand behind any repair. "It is not included in their warranty." We were told we could have somebody come in and make the repair, at our cost. Even as a goodwill gesture they would not offer to help us with the repair. We are seniors on fixed income, and probably should not have spent what we did on this piece. Knowing what I do now, we would not have. We have bought a lot of furniture over the years, but no more. We picked out a very nice sectional sofa, and paid the difference in price from the original sofa that we purchased. We've had this sofa about 10 days now and we are enjoying it. First off, the sales staff is very nice and easy to work with. The issue I have is with the so called warranties offered on their furniture. However, the sales staff shouldn't talk up these products like they are something they aren't. 1. Bought a Leathaire sectional several years ago. After just about a year, the hide starts separating from the backing creating wear spots. We contact Kane's about the problem and they send a tech out who says its normal wear and tear and not covered. I agree its wear as the spots are where we normally sit and get the most use, but an $1,800 sectional should last more than 1 year. He tells us they could repair it for around $1,000. 2. Just bought a queen mattress. Kane's prices were great compared to others and supposedly has a 10 year warranty. As we are paying, it is further explained that we have to buy a $60 fabric spray treatment or a $120 mattress cover to get the warranty. What does fabric spray or a bed sheet have to do with a mattress structural warranty? Then it is further explained that the warranty only covers if the mattress sags a minimum of 1.5 inches. I think at this point I will start dealing with companies that actually stand behind their products and don't try and sell you worthless add-ons and warranties. read more

I would give NEGATIVE stars if I could. In October, I purchased over $12,000.00 worth of furniture. I've had to have the surly repair guy, Jerry over twice now. Two pieces of furniture have had an issue, and Jerry just took a screwdriver and pliers and twisted the hinges that aren't mounted correctly and then slammed the doors shut on my China Cabinet and left. The second problem was my love seat. It's lost color in one spot on the seat. Jerry came after WEEKS and took some pictures, grunted at me and said someone would call in a couple of weeks. COUPLE OF WEEKS? So, I was called in a few days - not weeks and was told that the manufacturer would replace the seat. However, this person neglected to tell me it would take up to 12 weeks to get the "part" and then I'd have to have Kane's scheduled to install it. Well Today, I got the old run-around. I was told they wouldn't replace my love seat - that I should've read the warranty when I bought the furniture. It's repair only. I won't be here when the seat comes in - and they won't make any provision to replace it - only repair it. This is the worst customer service ever. They don't care once they have your money. Called the store 10 days ago to find out when our patio furniture will be delivered. Was told by an agent that our salesperson would have to explain it to us. Went into store to talk to Her 4 days later and she said she'd get on it that day. Another 4 days went by and I just called her.. she had been sick and first day back. But it's after 5 pm and she didn't call me all day..to tell me that they no longer deal with that company!!! So, when your company decided this, our $2500+ should have been returned to us and we should have been told weeks ago.. ordered in June. This is the worst company to deal with!! Early September I called and gave the replacement ID of the part I needed. The lady I spoke to told me it was under warranty. She was wrong. The Kanes person that came to my home looked at the coach and said he would order the piece for heat and vibrate ( I thought he came to fix the coach!). I called several times to find out when the piece would be arriving. Today I found out the part was not ordered. IT will take more time since they want me to stop at the store and pay for the item that still has not been ordered and they have no idea of the price. I should not have been told under 3 years mechanical parts are under warranty. The part should have been ordered by now , a month later I am in limbo. None of my phone calls were returned after being told they would call back. I wish for my coach to be repaired. read more

I wouldn't even give one star, but I have to or can't review. I tried Kane's for the third time and would never shop there again. First time: ordered a living room set and the frame was broken on the sofa. Took weeks to get someone out and months to get a replacement. Second time: ordered a dining room set and it was delivered with the wrong chairs. Took two weeks to get the right ones and then they made me feel like i was inconveniencing them. Third (final) time: ordered a day bed well over a month ago and was told it would be delivered mid-month. I expressly states that I had company coming on the 18th and needed it before then. It's now the 25th and no furniture, no call. I'll spend my money somewhere where it is appreciated and I'm treated like an adult. I'll never shop there again and am cancelling the order. read more

Not only will they not honor there websites price if you show them the price they will call their website team and take the website down in front of you.
