They truly know what they're doing and do a better job than what we do ourselves in a faster amount of time! Sometimes, the people who come do extra tasks if they have time. They always clean the floors, bathrooms, dust and wipe down surfaces. If they have time, they'll vacuum the couch, clean the fridge or oven, or other things. They do such a good job - way more thorough and efficient than what we would do ourselves. Communicating with the owner is easy. We usually text, but will occasionally call. Notes are taken in our profile so our preferences are recorded for anyone who comes. Billing is automatic from our credit card, and I am emailed a receipt. Their prices rarely change. In fact, our price was kept the same for years. I spoke with the owner and she admitted that the price for our house would be over double what we were paying! We agreed that she should increase our rates; however, it was clear that all of us value one another. I value PQ Cleaning and they value us and our regular business!

I spoke to Jim on the phone to book the service, and he was really friendly and helpful. He said his wife Rose would be in touch with a quote after I texted some pictures of the room. I don't know who I was texting with in the end. They quoted me $100. The two workers arrived right on time, were very polite, and did a beautiful job! However, they spoke no English and used a phone app to communicate. (You speak into the phone, they read the Portuguese that's generated, then they speak into the phone and it spits out English. Who knows how accurate it is.) I lived in a foreign country for 6 years and while I wasn't fluent, I had basic proficiency in the language... admittedly I worked in an industry where people spoke English, but for day-to-day things I was glad I could read and handle basic conversations. (This was pre-smart phone.) I'd love to hire Rose's Cleaning for their organizing service, but can't imagine how you'd do that with someone you couldn't talk to. They get good reviews for that, so maybe I'll try it. I'm skeptical but interested. If all you need is cleaning it probably doesn't matter that you can't communicate without a phone translator. Set good expectations for deep clean and then they did such an awesome job! Got into nooks and crannies, corners, ledges, vacuumed fabric on couch and more. Deep clean was so good I signed up for a weekly cleaning and been doing that for a few weeks now. Rates are very competitive. They bring all the supplies. They are very communicative and reliable. But what really seals the deal for me is that they are so thorough and really get the grimy areas every time! I have four pets, and two humans working from home, even though we clean a bit the regular upkeep makes SUCH a difference. And I so appreciate that they are mindful of my cats and dogs who can get stressed by cleaning sounds.
