I would not recommend taking any of the ferries from the Doolin pier to the Aran islands. 1) There…read moreis no way to know which ferry to take as there is no signage. We paid for passage to Inish Mor but were herded from line to line and taken to wrong island. 2) When we asked the crew about getting to the other island they were unconcerned and advised us to make sure we were back at the pier early in order to get back to Doolin. 3) When we arrived to the pier to return there were mobs of people, no signage, and no information. There were probably 300 people waiting for return ferry but there was no way of knowing what ferry to board or if other ferries would come as there were mind of people and not enough ferries. 4) Extremely unsafe environment as mobs of people trying to push into tiny gangway with nothing but a gap between pier and boot to fall into and be crushed between boat and pier.

From the small back deck you can look over this town all the way to the high cliffs that drop into the ocean, creating picturesque views of the orange, red and pink sunset. We arrived to a small sign personally welcoming us. Niall and Darra treated us like family while we stayed at their house and even dined at their table. They were personally acquainted with the entire area and gave us honest recommendations for spending our days there. We were able to see the Cliffs without crowds because of their directions. We then had the perfect dinner of local food at Roadford House where we walked along stonewalls past cows, horses, and sheep to the intimate dining room overlooking pastures. We ended the night by enjoying local music at O'Connor's Pub just a minute walk from the Sea View. We would highly recommend staying at the Sea View for at least a few nights on your trip to Ireland. We renewed our vows after 55 years of marriage in the O'Brien Tower at the Cliffs of Moher on September 15, 2021. Thanks to Kate, it was perfect and very memorable. She helped us with arrangements for everything. First, she recommended the perfect hotel for us, Dromoland Castle Hotel. It was like a fairytale. Next, she recommended a list of possible venues. O'Brien Tower was an ideal choice. Kate made all the arrangements with the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience for its use. The selection of the celebrant, Dara Molloy, Celtic Priest, was Kate's recommendation, and it proved to be impeccable. He conducted a Celtic Ceremony that we will retain in our hearts forever. Kate's selections for the multitude of services we needed were right on the mark and outstanding. They included a hairdresser, makeup artist, florist, harpist, wedding cake baker, photographer, videographer, and chauffeur. Besides being extremely creative and multi-talented, Kate is a beautiful person. She is calm and takes everything in stride. No problem is too complex for her to solve. We were on tiny roads, nearly in the middle of nowhere. My husband spotted the sign "Trump International". We had no idea that it was out there. We turned around to check it out. As we entered the property we came to a little gate house. A nice looking man, came out to greet us. He asked if we were checking in. We told him we were just driving by. I was holding my breath, I thought he might tell us to turn around. To our absolute delight he smiled his fantastic smiled and said with a bit of a giggle "Just wanted to have a look see?" We said yes, that we just wanted to see it. He told us where to park and encouraged us to go upstairs to the restaurant "at least have a coffee while you're here". We looked about the incredibly maintained grounds. Checked out the back of the property. Looked over the pro shop. Then went upstairs to the restaurant bar. The bartender was VERY professional but also kind. When I asked him sheepishly if I could keep one of the little cloth coasters, he said sure and "take this too" as he tossed me a pen. We went back to the pro shop looking for a sweatshirt. The extremely gracious employee in the shop told me that they'd be in the gift shop. He said it was closed. He made a call and said "she's opening it up". Then he walked us through the property to take us to the gift shop. I love my sweatshirt. What a fabulous little surprise on our adventure.
