I ordered a birthday floral arrangement with same day delivery as promised on their website. I received an email hours later stating that my order will not be fulfilled and a refund has been issued. I have no pictures or anything else to share because frankly they provided me with no service or flowers at all. They also signed the email with "Thank you for your understanding and stay safe!" I ordered bereavement flowers at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday for a 10:00 a.m. funeral on Friday, clearly noting in the Special Instructions that the flowers needed to be delivered before 10:00 a.m. The flowers were never delivered prior to the service. When I called, Ruth's Roses told me they were "in route," as if that was acceptable given the circumstances. On Saturday at 12:30 p.m. (the day after the funeral), they emailed me a photo of flowers in a bag as "proof" of delivery. Seven days after placing the order, the recipient confirmed that neither he nor his family ever received the flowers before the service. Update: Ruth's Roses later acknowledged that the flowers were delivered at 1:30 p.m., well after the services had concluded, and they responded to this Yelp review. I thought they were a local florist in the Springfield Virginia area and I wanted to surprise my wife for our anniversary and send her an arrangement at work. I specified that the delivery had to occur by 2:00pm. The flowers were supposedly delivered at 4:21pm to my wife which was impossible since she left at 2:30pm. She returned to work today and there were not any flowers and the building was locked at 3:00pm on the day the flowers were supposedly delivered. It is now Friday and they have done nothing. They advertise as "family-owned" but this is an 800# NOT LOCAL and maybe some family owns it but it is a huge company and I had to make FOUR calls to get the order accomplished and the personalized card notated correctly - this whole process took 45 minutes - THEN they called me to say they were OUT OF FLOWERS for the day and that they would send my arrangement the next day. Already a $49 arrangement that wound up costing me $83 to deliver same day is NOT WORTH IT but they refused to remove the $20 service fee to deliver next day due to all the errors on their end. Eventually they cancelled and I Google Mapped a florist in the area for where I want it delivered, called them and spoke to a lovely local florist who could accommodate the request for same day. I wish I could give them negative stars honestly. I ordered the most beautiful arrangement for my mother, paid $85 dollars for it. Perfectly fine paying that much for what I was intending on receiving. I paid extra to even have it in the same vase that is shown in the picture. My mom sends me a picture of the arrangement she recieved thanking me for it. I was so dissapointed. They sent her an entirely different arrangement. I ordered a tall lavender arrangement and they delivered a short pink arrangement. It was in a different vase, different size, not even the same flowers, and the flowers were different colors. Now, I contacted them about this wanting my mom to have the correct arrangement since I ordered those flowers for a reason. I would have been fine with the inconvenience if they had fixed the problem. Instead however, all that happened was I was met with multiple women telling me they cant help me (so why do you guys have a job if you cant help them?) And would transfer me to someone that can help, only for them to tell me the same thing. I was told by the last person I talked to that the customer service people (which is the ONLY number customers are provided to call) basically cant help you with anything. I dont even understand why their job exists in the first place if they cant help. I located this "company" through FTD, they claimed they were a flower shop near Plymouth Meeting, PA. On thier website it said "One day only, 45% diiscount and free delivery". I ordered a Sympathy plant for a dear friend in the area who just lost her husband. On FTD, the LIST price of the plant was $70.00. As I checked out online, it asked for a "discount code". I called the company, asking for the discount code and was put on "lay-a-way", the person never came back to the phone. After many emails back and forth, 3 different people sent me emails stating that their $70.00 charge was ALREADY DISCOUNTED by 45%!!
