We went to Ruxley Manor for the ice rink, and little I knew there was such a wonderful world in there. It was really a surprise for me, since I didn't expect the beautiful Christmas market, the amount of people during a weekday and the amazing delicatessen where they offer so many tasty products, all of very god quality. I don't give it 5 stars because of three things: we were disappointed we couldn't get into the ice rink due to the amount of people, they don't have a proper bicycle parking and, even though at first I was excited about seeing the reindeer, I think animals shouldn't be kept locked in such tiny spaces. Reindeer are herd animals that migrate through extensive areas. It was a bit sad to see them. Anyway, the rest of the place is very cool. We bought some Christmas decorations and some things for the plants, and had delicious pies. Really nice place. read more

This is a large garden centre, the most widely known in the area and for good reason. You can get just about anything garden related here, with a great selection of plants, flowers, bushes, trees, shrubs, all kinds of greenery. A wide selection of patio furniture is also available, including fountains and other water features. A full selection of landscape gardening materials is stocked including ponds, decking and patio paving. There is plenty here to keep you occupied for a day, the staff are always willing to help and good at their jobs! If you are developing your garden in the local area this is a must visit location, recommended! read more

I love going to Ruxley manor garden centre. There's plenty of disabled parking and parking for everyone else. There's a little shop selling home grown organic produce and a little ice cream stall in the summer. They stock a wonderful array of plants, shrubs, trees etc and it's a great place to go for a stroll even if you're not going to buy. The indoor section has garden furniture, seasonal displays, especially good at christmas and a wonderful stock of fountains and garden water features all working so that you can see what you will be buying. They also have a great tropical fish store where you can walk around and see lots of pretty fish. Easy to get to on the old A2 on the way to Swanley. read more

I've been one of the faithful for many years. There is a newly opened restaurant now which serves salads, hot meals and freshly made pizzas. It is licenced so you can have a glass of wine with your meal as well! Plants, flowers, garden equipment and furniture plus some more unusual exhibits like Chickens and lizards! They hold gardening ' Talks' and these can get booked up very early! In the October half term a circus visits and tickets are only available on-line and at a very reasonable price! Christmas I think is their flag ship and they go all out for the WOW factor Grotto, real reindeers that you can stroke which also live all year round at Ruxley! I could go on and on Better idea!! You pay them a visit and see what you think. read more

The customer service here is awful. Santa grotto not worth the money. This could be such an amazing place but the staff need to be trained on customer service. They literally just say no before we even explain what it is you require just because they are no lazy to deal with it. This happened with two members of staff. Awful read more

This garden centre always stocks good quality plants, they are always healthy specimens and well cared for. There is a good range of garden ornaments and patio furniture, they also stock wild bird food and nesting boxes. there is a huge variety of landscaping accessories including paving, stoneware and decking. The staff are helpful and knowledgable and it is a very pleasant place to spend an afrenoon. read more

Ruxley Garden centre is a little bit more than the average Garden centre. There is n extensive range of the usual things you would expect to find here, such as plants, sheds, garden furniture, etc - but also there is a wonderful shop with unusual gifts, candle, books kitchenware, even some outdoor clothing. You really could spend a few hours here as there is also a pet centre which includes a large aquatic department, you can spend ages just staring at the fish! There is also a shop selling organic produce, jams, etc, which has some very nice looking food items in there. I find some of the prices can be a little on the expensive side but you could spend a couple of hours walking around here and not get bored. There is a large car park so parking is not a problem. Most recently opened at the centre is Cyril's coffee shop which is great for a coffee and a light lunch or snack. read more

I love this place! They have a very well laid out centre, but I think its amazing at christmas. The amount of ornanments I have from there from when I was a little girl. They do a wide range of christmas ornanments and gifts that are really cheap for the quality and really nice. Although I don't go often I go at least twice a year! This year I will be going as in December they are going to have reindeer. So aswell as a garden centre, they are brilliant at christmas too! read more

Really do not like the new restaurant,so many different places with long queues,some were so busy staff could not cope,waited ages,others like the pizza part the guy was stood there doing nothing. I asked for a sausage roll,didn't have any,a bacon roll,no rolls,bacon all dried up,ended up with a cake and coffee,old cafe was much better,trying to be to upmarket. read more

I don't review here the undoubted range and quality of merchandise,but the integrity,scruples,doubtful practices and questionable manner of the management,chiefly,(one instance has come my way),of untraceability of an individual item once it's been entrusted to the Lost Property Section:precisely,a ring of potential value, which was easier to find before it was handed in,rather than afterwards,when a legal claim could have been made. Briefly, all our details were taken upon our depositing it with the staff;we were told we should contact them in six months; upon doing so,we were told that long before that given date,a secretary had decided it was worthless costume jewellery, so the usual practices we are being asked to believe occur, were abandoned, and it was given, without proof of name,date,individual,anything, to Demelza. Maybe, but all courtesies were not bothered with,and we have been made to feel like opportunists; email implication has said nearly as much;we wanted them to make a contribution to a charity of our choice, merely. I have tried for months to settle this with discretion,have photographic evidence,and all the emails. Shameful. Heath St John read more

Eaten twice in the restaurant and the food is really poor and over-priced. Turkey was dry and flavourless. Yorkshire pudding like cardboard. They have some sad looking reindeer shoved in a corner. The problem is the place just lacks any sense of style or creativity. It is filled with over-priced tat really poorly displayed in poorly lit buildings. Tons of it. Not much in the way of plants and what there is, again, like everything else is overpriced. People seem to flock here - but I just cannot understand why. Place is just a place for the owners to hoover up the cash from the poor locals who still flock here. I have visited the place on and off for 20 years and this is the worst I have seen it. I won't be going bar. The place is soulless, dingy and a rip-off. read more

Really disappointed with the customer services team at Ruxley Manor. Booked tickets for their Easter circus but now have a conflict and despite there being over 200 tickets available for the two earlier performances on the same day, they would not transfer the tickets. Unfortunately family life is not always easy and a bit of flexibility shown on behalf of the staff there would have been appreciated. We are now losing money that we can't afford, so as a result I will not be taking my family back for future events which is a shame as it's a lovely garden centre. read more
