Coming into the downtown area of Burlington heading north, we stumbled on a quaint coffee shop and had to stop in to see what's up. We discovered this unique little spot that serves pastries, coffee, ice cream and has items from local vendors, including locally sourced beef!! Wifey had a latte which was good and she found some Einkorn flour which she'd never seen before. I'm excited for her to bake something with it! I got a mango smoothie which was incredibly flavorful and not too sweet. Dawn shared my drink with me and got a new hair clip from the vendor section. It was a fun stop and we got to support local! Lots of wins for us and we have a stop to look forward to on our next visit!! Such a cool place!! My only regret was forgetting to get my signature selfie while here!! Whoopsie!!

I had to get some work done, so I thought it would be great to have coffee and WIFI. BOTH of which Watts Coffee provided. The coffee was great, and the staff team and owner ever Greater. The team let me use space in the Art Store for a zoom call with bankers and I could not ask for more. Plus the Coffee was fresh and excellent. The art of Alexander is amazing and you can see his metal Indian sculptures on the hills in central Kanas. IF you are travelling in Council Grove stop and enjoy an hour in Watts Coffee.

The scone was unlike any I have had previously. Served warm it was moist and soft, not dry and not hard. The scone and Cortada are the best I can recall having at any coffee shop, including those in Kansas City, Chicago, St. Louis, Onyx Coffee in Northwest Arkansas, Little Rock Arkansas, Evocation Coffee in Amarillo TX, et all. The well-trained barista was friendly, knowledgeable, and did her best to prepare my Cortada just as I liked it. I usually forget to request a ceramic or glass for drinking coffee in the store, but she asked if that was my preference; extra points here! The layout, ambience, cleanliness, and variety of seating in the shop and outside were absolutely perfect. The four or 5 mile drive off the interstate to this coffee shop in an exceptionally small town was an unexpected find I am glad I didn't mess. I don't think you will be disappointed either.
