Stopped in for lunch on Halloween and found a "spooky" special that was worth it! A Strawberry habanero wagyu beef cheeseburger and I added a side of broccoli salad. It was delicious!! I was impressed with the flavors of both. The ambiance is what you would come to expect of a brewery/restaurant combo. The service was also great. They were running short-staffed so I faced a little interruption but nothing to affect my food or customer service. I will be back to try the regular menu at some point. Check it out! read more

This place was amazing. I did a beer flight and leaned towards the lighter beers this time in terms of favorites. The sweet and spicy chicken sandwich was delicious but it was actually the broccoli salad that blew me away, which are words I never thought I'd say. My wife enjoyed her blackberry salad and we shared a porter crème brûlée!! More than half way through the beers when the Fries finally arrived, they were barely warm and tough. They were quickly replaced with hot, but still tough. We visited during happy hour. It took a few minutes to be seated. The wait staff were a bit busy, but both of them spoke to us and seems like they could have just let us know it'd be okay to sit down. We had good service, though. We ordered 3 happy hour appetizers and a cup of butternut squash soup. Ended up choosing scotch egg, onion rings, and boneless wings (no sauce). The scotch eggs seemed very overcooked. The yolks were chalky. The paper thin sausage crust was barely noticeable. Honestly, it took ketchup for me to finish them off later after we took the left overs to go. The mustard sauce was definitely not my taste, but I'm not much of a fan of mustard anyway, so my opinion shouldn't count for much. The onion rings were good. VERY crunchy, but not overcooked. They stayed crispy even after being refrigerated when we took part of them with us. Usually onion ring sauce is fine, but I didn't care for this sauce at all. I can't say what it was I didn't like about it, but it wasn't for me. The boneless wings were cooked to perfection, but sadly were foamy little frozen nuggets. I'd hoped they'd be something a bit more hand-battered. The ranch dressing seemed to have a lot of dry dill in it. I do like dill, but it gave the ranch a bit of a bitter taste. The chicken maintained its crispiness even the few pieces we took in our leftovers. I seemed to like the ranch more later when I ate it with the leftovers. Despite the good service, we left wishing we'd picked a different restaurant. read more

We eat regularly at Radius. Today I had an awful experience. I often order the blackberry avocado salad. Ordered it again today. The salad was missing the chopped tomatoes, the avocado was awful. I ordered it with the smoked salmon. The salmon was obviously canned and was the mashed-up dregs from the bottom of the can. I will never order it again. Unfortunately, we were eating with another couple - I didn't want to make a scene in front of them. The only thing that was good on the salad was the blackberries. I'll say this much, Radius has flavorful, upscale bar food. But, for all of its great college town brew pub attributes, they are sorely lacking in one area--vegan and vegetarian options. Trust and believe, I'm a full-blown carnivore, but my travel mates are not. Our server Gwynn seemed completely perplexed when we asked for vegan menu items--or if the chef could whip something up in the kitchen. "Any sandwich can be made vegan," she said, "We'll just replace the bun." So, instead of trying to explain the concept of veganism vs. gluten-free, we simply asked for the manager to bop over with potential alternatives. That didn't happen. My friend ended up irritated and chagrined until Gwynn offered her a vegan brownie and ice cream. Turns out, the brownie had eggs and the ice cream was from Blue Bell. (Literally.) It was almost a recipe for disaster--figuratively and literally. I'll guarantee you college kids are savvy enough to know about vegan patrons. Our server, however, seemed perpetually flummoxed. It might be time to retrain the staff and/or throw some more veggie-centric menu items into the mix. Just a thought. read more

We had a great experience- The Covid protocols made us feel really safe. Our server was really friendly and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations our first visit. The beer selection was solid, being from Kansas City several of the brews reminded me of Boulevard. I have been following them on social media, and the food lived up to the hype Irl. Hubby had the BLT with double bacon and the steak and potato soup (soup of the day). My sandwich looked great, but was extremely dry - the chicken itself was really dry and there was nothing on the sandwich to camouflage that. I was definitely disappointed with my dinner even though the Brussels sprouts were good. Hubby liked his sandwich and would order it again but sadly, his soup lacked flavor. Initially i felt the hostess was off putting, maybe just a bad moment. Fortunately, our waitress was quite the opposite- friendly and talkative. Between the waitress, the service, the food, and the safety precautions during this pandemic we were thrilled. The waitress, in addition to being friendly, was knowledgeable about the menu. We chose the following: jalapeño honey Mac and cheese, a cheese pizza, brussel sprouts, avocado blackberry salad, and blueberry bread pudding. All were great- the Mac and cheese had a nice kick, brussel sprouts cooked perfectly, pizza was fine (thin crust), flavors in the salad was perfect- all ingredients were fresh. Grateful for the vegetarian friendly options, much to choose from, and, I particularly liked the several unique salad choices. The service was timed well and we did not feel like we were kept waiting. Our beer was good too. This was actually the first time we've eaten inside since the start of the pandemic. We'd definitely normally not done that but staff was masked and all tables were at least 6 feet apart. read more

Went today with a party at six friends. 2 o'clock on a Saturday. Had to wait about 30 minutes or so for a table which was fine. Ordered a few drinks and the appetizers which came out fairly quickly. However, once we ordered our actual food, it took an hour to get there. Server came out and said, it should be out any minute, the kitchen was backed up. By then though the restaurant was only about half full, so I would hate to see how long it took food to get out if it was busier. Everybody seem to enjoy their lunch. A couple of us got pizzas One got a burger, one got a BLT and I got a couple appetizers for my main and all of it came out very tasty although not especially hot. read more

Upon entry we were excited about the look and feel of the place, however; they had more people at the hostess stand and in the kitchen than actual servers which was evident in our wait time at the table. There were employee bodies dispersed throughout the building which was evident only by their Radius Brewing t-shirts. It appeared the entire restaurant had only one server working, so we had to wait quite a while before actually being served however, she did acknowledge us and tell us that she apologized for the wait and that she would be back shortly. Our server Cheyanne, came back and to our surprise we found out it was Happy Hour! We opted to order a flight of beer, a couple appetizers, and a soup of the day. The feta and artichoke dip leaves a lot to be desired but the shrimp and chorizo dip made up for it for sure! The pretzel "bread" is just that, bread with a tiny pretzel taste in the beginning, and the soup was comforting but nothing special. I'm not sure what it was, meat, veggies, some broth and supposed to be creole seasoning. Our server and the William Allen Wheat Beer were definitely the highlights of the trip. I was very pleased with Radius Brewing Company not just for the tasty beer, but more over I was ecstatic at the service. It may have been a fluke, but I would imagine the locals would tell me this is the norm. The greeter was polite and the server was prompt, informative, and attentive. The sandwich I had was very good and I am told the pizza was good as well. The ambience on the weeknight we went was casual and the music not overly loud or annoying. Might be THE BEST place to eat in the town. They have great food for all meals and delicious beer. We were here for multiple meals including Sunday brunch and then lunch another day during our time at DDO. During those meals, I ordered the Chicken Bacon Avocado and the Onion Ring Burger. Both were delicious and worth coming back for again! As sides, I went healthy for the broccoli salad and brussels sprouts, which were both so good. One of the golden gems here is the dessert pizza. It may sound weird and is out of the ordinary, and it is! But it's amazingly delicious and we were fighting over the last few pieces amongst our group.
