I stayed only two nights... technically one because the first night my flight got delayed and I ended up staying w a friend. When I finally got to the room I noticed that the decor was very modern and upgraded. Most importantly, it was clean. Everything appeared fresh. Admittedly, it may stop me from staying there again due to the noise and not quite feeling as safe outside. Between other guests letting their doors slam, the traffic and storms, the nights were restless. Of course the latter isn't their fault and really, neither are the rude guests. As for the hotel, everyone was nice from the front desk, maintenance I said hello to and the breakfast staff. They have a simple breakfast buffet in the morning for those that have it included in their stay, otherwise you pay $12.95 for it. Luckily it was included because I don't each much for breakfast but like to have some eggs and coffee in the morning. They have a decent coffee bar set up and an attendant that is also quick to refill it while you're eating. I wasn't initially prepared to tip anyone, as I've never experienced an attendant actively assisting guests like that. So keep that in mind at breakfast. There's a small snack store available day and night, along with a bar area for happy hour in the evening. I didn't partake in either, but it's nice to see the availability of needed. As for the room, it was comfortable. I was pleased with a real blackout shade! No need to try to pull curtains together to block out that pesky strip on light that undoubtedly always hits you in the face, regardless of where you lay on the bed! Keurig coffee, microwave and a mini fridge, which is always helpful. The room was clean and spacious, as was the bathroom. I'm torn between 3-4 stars but choosing 4, since I don't want to dock them for the street noise and vagrancy outside. All in all decent; with some drawbacks.

Just our luck that there was some event/concert going on right next door so there were tons of crowds and literally every person came in to use to the valet parking at the same time we did. The queue for the valet was into the street and involved some waiting. As luck would have it, every other time we were in the vicinity of the entrance, there was no line. Every staff member I interacted with was nice. Our room was gigantic, especially considering the hotel's downtown location. There was a lil kitchen with a full-sized fridge, couch, desk, separate shower/toilet and sink area. The view of the city was great. The bed was cozy, no audible noise despite all of the shit in the area and it being a Friday night. The delivery people were able to drop our shit off at the door. Valet parking was $34 which is more than everyone else is complaining about in other reviews but I find that pretty standard. Would definitely stay here again.

There is a gas station right by this hotel that would make entrance easier if they had built an opening. You have to go all the way around by service road. Guest services was friendly. Entering our room was a descent ambiance. Turned off by splattered food marks (I guess) on walls by trash can and another area of the wall had something on it as well. Too tired to mention this and ask for another room. Simple wipe down would have taken care of this. Fixtures in areas throughout not mesh with the wall (gaps). Sink is not in bathroom area but near front entry of hotel, so that is different but tolerable. Comfort of beds were alright. Our pillows seemed to be fit for our 4 year old or kid size but again tolerable. Not sure if pool area was unbalanced w/chlorine but we had a reaction and ended up getting out earlier than anticipated. The food we did not eat for breakfast was just pushed back neatly and left on the desk area where we had left it vs. being thrown out from maid services.
