My initial online research showed that Penske was a little cheaper than Uhaul. I reserved somewhat last minute, going online to reserve a 12' truck on their website the night before (after hours) for pick up the next morning at 10:00. In the morning I got a call from Penske saying that their 12' truck was not available, and offering me a couple other options. We ultimately decided on a cargo van, which we initially feared would be too small, but it actually ended up being perfect, and we got everything in one trip. The van was obviously pretty old, with it's hand crank windows! But no worries, it got the job done. We were allotted 24 hours with the van, but being done by the afternoon, we dropped it off same day and dropped our keys in the drop box. We were initially charged and estimated price, along with a $150 security deposit, but the deposit and the unused portion of the estimate were credited to our credit card within a couple of business days. The only complaint I would have would be that their website should be interfaced with their computer system, so that it is not offering you trucks that they do not have available. But, lucky for us, we ended up with a smaller/cheaper vehicle which got the job done just as well. We will definitely keep Penske Truck Rental in mind for our future needs.

With that I do want to say that jake really helped me out and attempted to remedy the situation to make sure I was a satisfied customer. When I went to pick up my truck I was supposed to have a tow dolly for my car, as I had ordered and paid for one. However, there was not one available, I was told by jake that he would have one by the end of the day as they were brining more equipment to the store and he would call me. The day went by and the next day I called jake instructed me that something had gone wrong and that he did not have my tow dolly. I explained to him I needed it as I was leaving in a few days and did not have the option of moving without it. Within a few hours he called me back to let me know they had a tow carrier (upgraded dolly) and that he would allow me to use it and no extra charge, as well as allow me to take a hand truck as well. While this may not have been the best experience overall I do want to thank jake for remedying the situation, and I would absolutely rent from Penske again.

No more trucks, no more trailers, no more storage units, and definitely no more "professional" hitch installations. I've spent plenty of money with this company over the years, but congratulations -- you've convinced me to stop. They installed a hitch on my vehicle last year. After a while it started making a loud creaking noise. I brought it back, and they told me the installer had over‑torqued it. He "fixed" it -- or so he claimed. A month later, the noise was back. So I took it to their legendary "Master Hitch Mechanic" in Mt. Laurel. Because nothing says expertise like a self‑appointed title and a faded U‑Haul polo shirt. Shockingly, he didn't perform any miracle repair. What he did do was show me the real problem: the hitch had damaged my frame. Fantastic. He handed me an insurance brochure like that was supposed to solve anything. I filed a claim, it was denied, and now I'm stuck with a damaged frame thanks to their incompetence. And here's the best part: after doing my own research, I found out this is a known issue with this hitch. U‑Haul should be covering the repair and taking it up with their supplier. Instead, they shrugged and walked away. As far as I'm concerned, this place is run by crooks hiding behind an outdated, faded orange sign. Do yourself a favor and take your vehicle to an actual hitch shop -- one where "expert" means more than a name tag and a torque wrench.

If customer service is not for you, PLEASE LEAVE and find a job that you won't be so nasty and rude to the customer(s). I will never recommend this location just because of her nasty, brass, bitter, nasty, aloof personality. This just happened recently like 4/18/2020 and her and a fellow was the only one working. I hope she is not a manager....yikes! I will be complaining further. Somerdale location NEVER AGAIN
