My card was charged, and both orders remained pending -- one for 20 days and the other for 30 days. No one contacted me. It was only after I reached out myself that I was informed they would not honor the advertised prices and would not sell the items to me. In other words, they charged customers during a sale and then quietly canceled the orders weeks later. The refund does not fix the inconvenience, the wasted time, or the complete lack of professionalism. What made this worse is that the person who contacted me was the manager, Elaine. Instead of resolving the issue properly, there was no accountability, no meaningful solution, and no attempt to make things right. This situation could not have been handled more poorly. This was my first purchase with this company -- and it will absolutely be my last. If you value transparency, integrity, and basic customer service, I would strongly advise caution before ordering from them.

Anyway it seems Montreal doesn't have a lot of places that sells that but saw online that Hogg hardware does since it's part of the Home Hardware group. Went in, ordered it, got a call 2 days later to pick and it wasn't expensive at all. The guys are also really nice but while I was waiting around I saw a ton of cool stuff for the home including soy candles, funky door handles and coat hooks, and stuff you'll never see at Home Depot. I used to buy soy candles at Winners (since soy doesn't produce soot and burns cleanly), but increasingly they don't carry them anymore and instead have "hand-poured" candles ( what the hell is that supposed to mean if it doesn't change the fact that it produces soot?) but now at least I can get some here at a reasonable price. There's a reason why it's located in Westmount and also Nun's Island, it's definitely more bourgeoisie and less blue-collar.
