For people like me, who crave coffee all the time, there is always the decision between "going where you KNOW the coffee is good" and "trying new places" - Since I started yelping, I try to do the latter more often, and so we happend to end up trying the coffee at the Kaffeerösterei in Erlangen. Although it is just around the corner from the Hugenottenplatz, I have probably walked past it about 50 times without giving it a second glance. Now the most important thing is, that they don't sell all that fluffy "ccino" stuff that others do, but specialize in "good ol' coffee". If you walk into the store, you can buy coffee beans and ground coffee from all over the world, but there's a tiny counter in the wall, where you can buy your coffee from the outside. The coffee is de-lish-uzzzz! Ranks right up there with the best coffee in the area! Someone definitely knows what beans to use =) Now, the only thing that could be better is the size of the to go cup. It's tiny...I mean, compared to what you usually get at a classy café, it's probably not too small, but I like my coffee, and like a lot of it - so even though it's rather cheap (1,90€ per cup) it could definitely be a little more...or a LOT more! Nevertheless, I cannot keep myself from giving that last star, because it tastes just so good!! Bottom line: * among the best coffee in the area * charming little shop that specializes on coffee * coffee is soooo good, but cup is soooo tiny :(

This great little place is still quite new, but doesn't have to hide behind the competetion at all - the owner also owns the "Di Simo" around the corner & who doesn't love that little place? The coffee here is quite mild (but tasty), but the place itself is wonderfully situated and has a great little minimalistic vibe to it. It's situated in the Weißgerbergasse (one of Nurembergs lovely little side alleys) and sitting outside is highly recommended - you'll never know what kind of weird stuff you'll see (The last time I was here, I watched a drunk guy vent his fury on a signpost for 30 minutes... lovely!)!

Unser Fokus liegt auf der Qualität und Transparenz der Rohkaffees und der bestmöglichen Röstung und Zubereitung. Gegründet wurde die Rösttrommel von Stefan Schwarz und Michael Heyder im Jahr 2010. Wir verwenden extrem viel Zeit und Anstrengung darauf, ständig neue Rohkaffees zu finden, Probe zu rösten und zu verkosten. Daher wechselt unser Sortiment auch ständig: Alle vier bis sechs Wochen etwa gibt es einen neuen Kaffee bei uns. I got a matcha latte, and I really enjoyed the flavor of the matcha. The barista also kindly acknowledged my sweet tooth & added sugar in the matcha for me :) The owner's wife is Japanese (and so is my family) so her & my mom got along really well! They were so friendly & kind to us enough that they had suggested us neat places to look around Bamberg. Overall, such a great local business. If I wasn't staying over an hour away, that coffee shop would definitely be my go-to.
