I only had two asada wish I got more before heading back home. Give it a try! There's no tables or chairs and no bathrooms.

Yelp Mexico Badge + Taco Crawl = ¡El mejor y delicioso día de todos!…read more After the first two street vendor taco crawls, Taco Isabel was our (with Yelp Buddies Ran C. and Isobel L.) third street vendor taco crawl/stop before hitting up Avenida Revolución. Ran had eaten here before and he liked it, and so of course, I wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to try out their birria taco. When in Rome (well, Mexico, lol!)... Side Note: The first two vendors do not have their own Yelp page nor permanent spot locations. First vendor was Tacovarios La Guerita ($1.25 breakfast bistec con papas taco) and the second vendor was Tacos Veloz ($2 for birria taco + Mexican Coca-Cola). For $1.20, their birria was tender, meaty and a generous portion too! Dipped in the birria's juices and topped with cilantro and onions, I would get this again! Served with two corn tortillas, I especially, loved that they fry them up a bit. Not only does it give that yummy and crunchy effect, but it also holds up the fillings nicely. I would have gotten the Adobada (similar to al pastor) as well, but I needed to save room for the rest of our trip, hehe! Service: The staff here are friendly and quick. Just tell them what kind of taco(s) you want, and it'll be ready within less than five minutes. When you're done eating, you can give them back the plastic plates (a lot of the street taco vendors recycle their plastic plates - some have plastic bags wrapped over them while others rinse them out). You'll also pay after you're done eating (opposite end of the cart). Taco Isabel accepts both American money and pesos. Ambience and Décor: Al fresco, street dining, hehe! Watch out for cars. They have a few chairs to sit on behind their cart. There's also a counter (standing room only) in front of their cart. Definitely recommend checking out Taco Isabel. Their birria is tasty and getting the Adobada next time!

Worth the Drive!…read more Five stars for the flavor, composition, and size of the meal. $3 bucks gets you a hotdog and frys. Location on yelp map a bit off. You need to drive south on the street half way down the block. The truck is actually a VW Bus converted to a food truck. Cool look and a bucket list style food destination. The Hot Dogs: I had both kinds. The Mex (4*)which has avocado and grilled onions. Was very good. The Bread was flavorful, chewy, and dense. The hot dog tasted great, unorthodox style as if a Polish dog was cut down the middle and fried on a flat grill. Crisp outer texture and clearly a good quality pork dog. They have chicken but went with the pork. I liked it. Second dog: (5*) Same flavorful bread and hot dog. Mushrooms and a chipotle sauce. This dog was EPIC. The flavor and consistency was excellent from start to finish! I totally recommend this dog, slightly better than the MEX dog. French Fries: these potatoes are like homemade steak Fries. Pre baked or boiled then cut and fried. Thick and hearty with some crisp, salt and pepper. Pretty good but better fresh. I had to take mine to go so I don't blame them for not being super crisp due to the steam in the Styrofoam to go tray. They serve Hamburgers but went for the Dogs. Bring cash. Go there, expect a good Hot Dog. Eat, repeat!

First time visiting TJ in years and it was so much fun! I love a good food market hall, and I had…read moreno idea Telefónica even existed. It reminds me of some of the big food halls in Los Angeles (Grand Central Market, Haven City, etc.) packed with delicious food and beverage options. Just a quick Uber ride from the border and you can be munching on fresh ceviche and savoring an ice cold glass of house-made sangria. That's exactly what we ordered! I appreciated the option for indoor or outdoor seating. Since it was an extremely hot and humid day, we opted to sit inside, where the fans were a lifesaver. We ordered drinks at the bar inside and then picked up food from one of the several vendors outside. The staff was welcoming and checked on us several times, even offering our group a large table upstairs, which was a considerate touch. From coffee to pastries, sweets, snacks, wine, beer, seafood, pizza, and everything in between, Telefónica is a great way to start or end your day in TJ. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in town!

This place is amazing. Disregard any bad reviews that you may see…read more the truth is they have so many different types of food here, the biggest problem is deciding which one you want to eat. My advice, take a cheap UBER instead of driving as parking is not fast. When you arrive take a walk though quickly to get a lay of the land and see what the options are. Maybe grab a michelada on the way in since the bar is right there. I'd pick one or 2 or 3 places to try as long as what you order fits together. the last thing you'd want to eat would be a taco and a hot dog. BE MINDFUL: Realize you are in Mexico. This place wasn't really made for tourists, it's more of a local spot and it's pretty safe. That being said they don't usually care too much about dealing with complaints. Take breath a little bit Karen and enjoy the experience. The tables are open seating, so maybe while you grab food, send your friend to find a table. they also had a cat there that was so chill and wanted to be pet.
