He was rude and didn't explain a thing while he was entering the information into his computer. Instead of actively helping me with my taxes and where I could save money or pay less taxes, he just performed data entry in front of me. Also his demeanor was less than professional and condescending when I explained the documents I gave to him. The tone was rude and not what I'd expected. I also am a new business owner and when I asked about the taxes related to my business he promptly interrupted me and told me I had no real business and people just go around saying they own a business when they don't. I didn't understand & told him I'd made actual sales- which makes me a business owner. I want to make sure everything is done by the books. Either way, there are many write offs he could have helped provide me for my business but he never did. Not sure if he just doesn't know what he's doing or likely, he doesn't care. I'm going to look into another accountant that will actually help me instead of one that charges upwards of $400 to watch him do data entry & treat you disrespectfully. I'd recommend looking into other accountants and not wasting your time and hard earned money here. I was a loyal customer for years, but not anymore. If he doesn't want/need my business then that is fine with me.

Our taxes are not that complex - married with 2 kids and not self employed. Long version - Will not be returning or recommending whatsoever. Called before wife went to drop off taxes - spoke to "Cindy" very polite and explained that in addition to my taxes I'm dropping off the EDD forms from CA and W-4 which we need help with and that I need those back ASAP - actual tax forms can wait. Cindy stated it shouldn't be a problem. Dropped off forms - again dealing with Cindy said it should be done in a couple of days. A week goes by - my employer is asking for forms. Called VSA my "new friend" Cindy transfers my call - whoever answered said I needed to talk to someone else (after lengthy explanation of call purpose) -call transferred again ENTER GABBY!!! Hope you do not have to deal with this patronizing, self centered person. My wife informs her she's getting the "phone run around" to which Gabby lets her know -"No your not". Really?!? - cause if a customer feels a certain way its how they perceive things and yeah that may not be to great Gabby. Okay so, a few more days and Cindy calls -"Taxes are ready for pick up" Wife brings home taxes - there is a mistake (and yes I know mistakes happen) with CA tax withholding. Wife takes taxes back to office (yes I'm aware of the US postal service) however we're going on two weeks here folks. I put "sticky notes" on the errors/questions and drop it off with Cindy. Next day we get a call from someone else (not Gabby) telling us to taxes could be picked up next day between 10 and 4. With this kind of time gab we decided to wait a day. Go into pick up corrected taxes - we review new forms and notice W-4 is blank. Go back upstairs Cindy calls Gabby to the lobby. She points out there is one blank page and one completed page in her usual sarcastic manner. She reminds my wife to have a "good day" - LOL really? Not, "we're sorry your taxes were incorrect" to the tune of about $1600 - etc. Gabby excels at treating customers as if their a burden and stupid. We've dealt with Rachel Scott personally (yes its possible to get past the front desk) and we're surprised her assistant is so rude. Good luck here - we're going elsewhere.
