While at Countryside Gardens, I also had the opportunity to meet Sheila's hubby, Ozzie. These folks not only have a top notch operation, but they are some of the hardest working, friendliest folks you'll ever want to meet! It was such a fun visit! Take your kids - get them involved in planting and don't be shy to ask Sheila or Ozzie anything about planting - they are truly your resident experts. The parking lot is sort of DIY, so just follow how other cards are parked and then hurry on in because inside Plant Masters is plant heaven!!!! House plants, outdoor plants, gardening plants, all the accessories you may need for planting and gardening is here! It's your one stop shop of everything you could possibly want and is just so delightful! I wish I lived in the Grand Traverse County area because I would be coming here all the time for all my plant and gardening needs. Alas, I snagged a house plant or two here with my friend to fill her shop and you can just tell that they take good care of their plants here. So many that I walked by that I had no idea flowered were flowering and that's the mark of some proper care - the plants are thriving here and the staff is so friendly! Love Plant Masters!

Breeze Hill has the most variety in stock, and three bucks less a flat. I am a veteran gardener, have even conducted plant sales for fund raising. Next year I won't even go through the process. I'm going straight to Breeze Hill for everything I need, including all of those impulse purchases! Love!

I got 3 orange and pink flowers called 'persimmon,' and then, 2 pink flowers and 1 yellow flower. I put five of the flowers in two boxes and one in a hanging basket. Expensive hobby, but I enjoy watching stuff grow.

Unlike other well respected Nurserys in MI, Barker Creek only provides a 60 day warranty on their trees. You are not provided any warranty paperwork and it is not posted on their website. Others, like Harder Warner in Grand Rapids, Begicks in Bay City, Warmbiers in Auburn, provide a minimum 1 year warranty on trees. Unfortunately, we purchased a Maple tree from Barker Creek ($395+) in Oct 2024 and purchased planting supplies (we were in the area), the tree survived the winter but in June began to die. We watered and fertilized but no luck. Gordon, an owner, informed me that there is no warranty, but would be willing to meet with me to find a different tree. He may offer something to offset, but won't commit. Well, my drive time is 1.5 hrs and a 'no warranty' tree is not worth spending an additional $400. Sorry, you have lost my business. I will travel to a reputable nursery. Buyer Beware.
