Day One: A small crew came out to bore the holes for the posts. They did not pay attention to the…read moredesign and bored the holes in the wrong configuration. Had I not been paying attention, they would have had all the posts set and leveled and half the framing done before it was discovered. I saved them 2-days effort and the owner got upset with me for calling him about it before it was fixed (I guess telling his crew was enough in his mind - his two sons are less apt than he is). The owner (Steve) did not show up on site to introduce himself - Steve if you are paying attention: First rule of running your own business is to meet the customer before the job starts. At the end of the job as another reviewer noted, they leave their trash all over the place. I found a cup up over the door of the entry door and so I set it on a piece of equipment they had siting there. When I wen out the next day, the coffee cup had ben thrown into the corner of the barn (note that the concrete had just been poured the day before so there was nothing else in the barn except this cup). Obviously they didn't know how to throw it in the trash and instead chose to make a statement because I called it to their attention by placing it on their equipment - very unprofessional crew as another reviewer noted. The largest issue was with the finishing of the job. Steve insisted he needed a completed driveway to get the cement truck in. I agreed with the understanding the driveway would be functional and to my spec when done. Steve asked me to mark off the driveway - I did. However, his son (supposedly the foreman of the crew) Pulled up the markers and ignored my instruction and continued under his father's (Steve's) direction. So much for marking off what I wanted. I had a long conversation with the owner following the botched driveway. Sparing the detail, it ended in frustration as Steve defended the issues his team caused and refused to come on site to look for himself. In the end, I have a barn but still no driveway. They made an attempt to reclaim much of the wasted aggregate they had spread way too thin (parts of the under-tarp were exposed and I could dig in any area and hit tarp in 1-2 inches - any contractor knows 4" inch depth minimum - apparently not these guys.) These guys are definitely not landscapers and while they seemed friendly, they are not customer service oriented. I only interacted with them 4 times throughout and as I said before , Steve never came out to introduce himself or set expectations. He never came out to review progress and he never even came out in the end to see if everything was done to satisfaction before sending the bill. He lacks customer service and its a big part of the issues he and his crew cause. I'm sure I wouldn't even be writing this had he just met with me on day one. If you still decide to use this company: If they screw up yours as they did mine, you will only remember the issues every time you see the building. And shamefully that may not be the case had Steve would have shown up at least once. Spare yourself the grief.

Contracted this company to put an addition on an existing barn. The actual barn construction was…read moreacceptable. The concrete work was not. The concrete contractor didn't know that there were two slabs on the contract and initially poured only the interior slab. When it was pointed out, he was concerned about the cost of the second slab, due to a short concrete load. I offered to add a slab, which I initially wanted, but opted out of due to estimate cost. If it could save some money on delivery, I offered to pay for the slab installation. One slab cracked along its entire length only three months after installation and sank noticeably on one end. The other two have cracks, which the contractor attributed to "Michigan". After a couple of replies to my inquiries, neither the barn contractor nor the concrete contractor will reply to my requests. I would recommend the barn construction crew, but would avoid their concrete contractor at all costs. Make sure you have a known, reputable concrete installer that is NOT recommended by Artfully Crafted Pole Barns,

Next day he was at my house to collect the $4,400 which I paid. 6 weeks later there is a leak, he was notified by text. Have not heard from him and now have 5 leaks. I am a 74 yr old widow, husband passed away 2/14/2025. Would NOT recommend. Feels like I just got taken advantage of big time, who charges $10,400 for 1 day of work??
