The warranty portal had been used before on my last review and again after. Unfortunately the people that come to service the problems we have had are unable to correct the problems. We have one bedroom that does not get cool at all with air conditioning. They tried to reroute the cool air but it didn't correct the situation. The wood flooring was not replaced but had the gaps filled in without making it look any better. The fire alarms continue to go off even when using the exhaust fans when cooking. We cant't reach them to turn them off when blaring. There are no windows in the room for ventilation. All they say is it past inspection so there is nothing they can do. We have been here a year and they have not been helpful. I wish we never would have paid cash for the home! Maybe they would have been more eager to help us. read more

We just closed on our house today! How exciting! The house is wonderful and S&S came highly recommended from a friend that's a part of the home builder association. This company is very professional and easy to work with. S&S home absolutely deserves all the 5 stars. But I have to make a huge shoutout to Lance, the superintendent, he is just awesome. He got everything done as promised and delivered above and beyond. Not just that, he's truly such a nice dude and is always smiling, even remembers homeowners by their name. He's been nothing but friendly and kind. Anytime I visited the home sight, he just gives the biggest and best "hello". He is the main reason I even felt inclined to leave an awesome review and go out of my way. He made our experience so so good. You guys rock! Thank you S&S homes for our perfect, beautiful home! I am upgrading this to a 3 star from a 1 star, while the driveway was finally fixed, there have still been issues based on shoddy workmanship. Most issues are being resolved so I will give the customer service more credit. It is the lack of attention to detail, during the build stage, that is disturbing. I can't express how tired, frustrated, and upset I am over our current build with S&S Homes. They've been rude, unprofessional, dishonest, and beyond disorganized. If you want to feel like you took on a part time job while building a home, these are your guys! The following examples are only a few of many. We've had our project manager blatantly lie about delays, claiming cabinets were back ordered only for us to call the cabinet company and find they have our cabinets ready to go and S&S hasn't picked them up. He rarely ever responds to us, when he does he's rude and only plays the blame game. He recently disappeared for two weeks with no prior notice on a vacation, leaving no one in his place for us to contact and our house unworked on for that span. We were originally told our completion date would be end of July, it's October and we still haven't received our 30 day notice. While there's a long list of mistakes that have been made due to disorganization, the current and most frustrating mishap has been our floors. We caught them installing the wrong floors on our home, provided them proof with emails and screenshots of us choosing a different vinyl flooring, and they're now unwilling to change the floors or own up to their mistake. We've made so many concessions due to their ineptitude but I've now reached my boiling point. Lots of mistakes have stemmed from the design center, they assigned us an employee who was in her first week for our design meeting. Big surprise it hasn't gone well in any shape or form. We were coming in from out of state for the design meeting and the original employee cancelled on us two days in advance via email claiming her husband had scheduled lasik for that day. She gave us TWO DAYS notice. I don't think lasik is a surgery you schedule two days in advance. But this is how you're treated when you build with S&S, there's zero professionalism or even common courtesy. I wouldn't recommend S&S homes to anyone, my bro in law and Sister are currently building with them as well and have had the exact same experience. Avoid these guys at all cost. I'll update my review once we move into the home (who knows when that will actually be,) hopefully I have kind things to say about the process from now to then. read more

S&S homes is one of the poorest run companies I have ever built with. They are dishonest, they leave there jobs half done and have no organization skills. Our home was "finished" almost 5 months ago and we were told "give us two weeks and we will get your punch list done." We've not seen or herd from anyone unless we tirelessly harass them. I continue to turn Friends and family away from building with them, and am looking at seeking legal action. DO NOT BUILD OR BUY AN S&S home. read more

This company has many excuses why they never show up to finish what they started. We have been in home for 2 months and still have exposed wires in closets, wire sticking out of backsplash tile that is for undercabinet lighting (which they said we didn't get) yet all wiring was in place for it. We had to pay an additional $550 to hire our own electrical to get job done. We have 2 leaks in front and rear yard which remain unfinished. Our construction manager (which is related to owners) was terrible. Lies, excuses and ended up leaving us at the end of building process. Would not recommend this company. They take your money, but they are not responsible to finish or correction defects. Customer service awful. Owners won't call or even meet with you. Believe me we've tried. My opinion.....DON'T DO IT,! This is the fifth time we have built a new home and it is the most expensive and the worse experience ever. This has cured me of ever wanting to build again. Four months since we moved in and still dealing with issues. If we worked we would probably be fired for having to miss so much work. A film all over the tile floor that had to be hand scrubbed, a shower that had to be regrouted and is still not right, a cracked courtyard wall, knocks in the wall no one knows what it is, paint all over every thing, peeling paint, and thank goodness we live here to have been able to check on the build daily. By the time we are done, I feel as though I paid for a new house but got a recycled one. Even if they fix every thing, and they have been trying, who the heck wants to go through this. We built our dream home and now hate it. I hope they stand behind their work and will fix that bathroom to be perfect. You can email us to inquire. read more
