"hmn I shouldn't be asleep right now because I have another commitment and I just can't put my finger on it... and it's not work, it's something else..." And then you realize that you are supposed to be at the dentist getting your teeth cleaned in 3 minutes and that's why you feel like you shouldn't be sleeping off a mid-week bender? No? That hasn't happened to you? Then... my bad (I guess). Long story short - I called the dentist and said I would be late and they were totally cool about it. Then I showed up (looking/smelling like a hobo) and they were totally cool about it. Then I disallowed the cavitron 5000 from my cleaning and they were totally cool about it. The bottom line message I want to deliver to you in this review, is that I am never switching dentists again. Actually, that's not exactly true. I am never switching hygienists again. If Lisa moved to a different dentist office, I would move my records along with her. This was the most painless dental cleaning I have ever had. That statement is not a joke. I had not been to the dentist in 1.5 years, and there was a lot of cleaning that needed to be done; Lisa had brand new dental tools that she was delighted to break in on me. She was done in 45 minutes (I have historically had to break up cleanings into 2 visits) and when I inspected her work, I expected to see residual tartar and plaque because of the efficiency and painlessness of the service, but the cleaning passed the quality control inspection. I remain shocked by the quality of this cleaning and it has inspired me to floss more regularly, because I want to preserve the work that she has done here. This is my new hygienist and I hope that I die before she does (like... a long time from now) because I can't imagine finding another person that is this good at this job.

Never before have I been treated with such kindness and warmth in a dental office. When I called initially to inquire about registering as a new patient, Chau was very nice and understanding on the phone, answering any questions I may have, and following up with me to ensure that all my insurance documents and forms will be set before my appointment. There is a New Patient Form on their website that you just have to complete before the appointment to save time. When I arrived at their office for my appointment, I immediately noticed the cleanliness and neatness of the place. There's Nintendo Wii and Xbox stations for kids, large TV, lots of seating at the waiting room, good lighting, really great set-up over-all, a very welcoming atmosphere. Just about 3 minutes after I arrive for my 10AM appointment, I was then greeted by Daisy, a dental hygienist. She asked me first of all if I have any immediate concerns with my dental health, and the main reason for my visit. I told her I do want to register, and that I have not gone to the dentist in at least 8 years.. yikes! During the comprehensive exam, before Daisy proceeded with each test, she would explain to me the process first, and what needs to be done. After showing me the results of my photos and x-rays, she gave me advice on how to maintain good dental health, and also what procedures I had to go through to fix some very few issues with my teeth. Oh, and here's the best part. There are 2 TVs in the room! One on the wall for when you're sitting up, and one on the ceiling right in front of you for when you're laying down, so you can watch TV and distract yourself during cleaning or any procedure they are doing. The whole time I was holding the remote control... nice.. well, in my opinion that distracted me and made me feel a little less crazy and distracted from all the drilling I can hear. Dr. Daniel dropped by for a few minutes, introduced himself, again made me feel comfortable and ran some quick checks as well. He has a very soothing voice and a very friendly smile, again making me feel calm. After the appointment, I was given a bag of goodies.. YAY! I have another appointment coming up in a week, and I am sure it will be as great as this one! I highly recommend ForestBrook Dental. I already convinced my husband to sign-up as well. They do take care of all the paperwork regarding insurance, and as a patient, I feel very well-informed about what needs to be done next in my dental care plan.
