When I asked about it the front desk staff told me that it's my responsibility to ask them to check if the procedure is still covered by my insurance. They have the billing records and contact with my insurance provider, so why pass the responsibility to me? I will have to find another clinic.

They are very patient with my son's questions and his need to understand everything they are doing in his mouth. Our appointments typically take longer than average, but that doesn't appear to be any problem to the staff here. They schedule an appropriate length of time, and we are never rushed out. The reception area is warm and friendly, with free coffee/tea and cookies, and a kids corner with a TV and Wii to keep kids entertained. We've been bringing our son here for several months now and cannot say enough about how happy we are with the service and treatment provided.

I was referred here by my friend, who happens to be a general surgeont o Dr. Chi-Chia Tai. There are a team of oral surgeons working here and their supporting staff definitely play leading roles in the overall experience at Durham Oral Surgery. The office itself is tucked away on a side street next to a Ford dealership and is an antique home conversion. They were extremely organized. When I checked in, they knew exactly who I was, and ticked me off their roster. I was scheduled in for a 9:45AM. It took me about 5 minutes to fill out a form (as I had never been before), and within 5 minutes I was whisked away for an x-ray. Make sure you take all jewellery from the neck up off (I forgot to take off my earings! Oops!) After that, the ladies processed my insurance claim. I am so glad I have group health benefits. Can you believe that wisdom teeth extraction (1 side = 2 teeth) comes in at a hefty price tag of $1000+ dollars?! Shortly after I was asked to watch an informative video regarding wisdom teeth extraction, and then Dr. Tai appeared. He was very informative, and easy to understand. He explained what he suggested, and asked me if I had any questions. Shortfly after the consultation, the nurse took me into the operating room. I underwent general anesthetics, and the surgery went painlessly. Sooner than I knew it, I was waking up and escorted to the waiting room where I was given instructions about the next few days and what to expect and to give you the date of your follow-up appointment. The nurse walks you straight out to your car (of course, William T was nice enough to take me as you cannot drive after surgery). The service doesn't end there. The day after surgery, you will receive a check-up phone call just to see how you are doing. I have worked in the medical field before, and the biggest guffaw about surgery is usually that there is no after-care. Most surgeons just want to do the operating, and then be rid of you. They also called me this morning to remind/confirm my follow-up appointment. I would definitely recommend going to Durham Oral Surgery to anyone who has to get their wisdom teeth removed.

how do u guys a positve review..?? i came to durham dental…read moreneeding only a simple filling.. during covid where the dentists have to wear a mask.. however, the smelly owner was doing my filling, and with my mouth wide open.. he spat when he spoke and actually spat directly into my mouth... now, instead of fixing one single filling... they decided to drill it down to nothing.. but also sliced into the mouler next to it and refused to fix it. and because of that and not checking my bite like a professional.. i actually lost a third tooth... now my entire grill is all messed up and i can hear and feel a 4th tooth cracking.. i gave them a 1 of 5 cause theres no zero. and.. one day i was trying to ask for a perscription for simple ib profen at the desk where out of nowhere.. the smelly owner guy rushed the front desk where i was standing and rudly accused me of asking for peracept when i wasnt. they continued to be rude af to me. and the big blonde behind the desk had quite the mouth on her from what i can recall. thretening to call the police on me for no reason what so ever... i would never ever refefer these people who needs any kind of work nor a simple check up as there likely to spit directly into your mouth and not use deoderant. i can allways take this down. but i wont as these people did not want to listen. and did horrible dentistry.

All of the dentist that we have met have been very professional and personable. My wife and daughter have appreciated doctor Anne. She is always very kind and attentive to their needs and concerns. My experiences with Doctor Shenouda have been very positive. He is a very skilled dentist, but is also willing to patiently work with you if there are any small concerns with making sure that your teeth are perfectly fitted. I had a tricky procedure with a tooth that took a few visits until I was completely satisfied with how I felt. Each time I came, Dr.Shenouda listened and worked until I was completely satisfied. The technicians have also been attentive and patient when taking care of you. My last visit with Neeha was exceptional. She was so thorough and careful to not cause any pain or discomfort. I had not visited for a while and she took extra time with removing all plaque. Finally all of the staff that greet you and make appointments are also very polite and kind. They are friendly and always greet you with a welcoming smile, and also say goodbye as if they cared that you visited. Michelle, who basically runs the office, is especially caring, and considerate. Ever since our company insurance had run out, Michele has been incredibly supportive, and always tries her best to accommodate in anyway that she can. She has given us a very fair rate over the last couple of visits. We never even have had to call and ask for the same price. She had already contacted the office staff and let them know that we would continue to get the same fair price that we were offered when we first started going to the clinic.
