Absolutely terrible service and completely untrustworthy. I rolled in, got weighed, and was handed a formal, printed slip at the gate with my weight and total. But when it came time to actually collect, they refused to honor their own printed paperwork. Instead of paying what was on the slip, they claimed the scales were wrong and "reweighed" my metal based entirely on a photograph they took. They shorted me by approximately $200 from the original agreed-upon price on the paper. A printed ticket should be a done deal. Altering a certified weight based on a photo is incredibly shady. I ended up taking the lower offer just to get out of there, but I will never bring business back to this yard. If you want honest weights and a business that honors its own paperwork, go somewhere else. read more

Glad to be doing business with these folks. They are fair, friendly and helpful. They explain how the process works, if you don't understand. It's interesting to see the different types of stuff that people bring for recycle. They will accept a car if you have a junk car! I learned a lot talking to them. I learned that if you are bringing aluminum cans, they must be ALL aluminum. For example, if you are bringing in cat food cans, some of them are not aluminum. If they are mixed, they cannot give the aluminum price. That's understandable. I learned that bulk items can be transported in the back of a pickup truck. They weigh the truck, you offload items, they weigh the truck again and give you slip of paper to bring to the cashier ( Barbara ), who cuts a check. Sometimes you are the first in line, sometimes they are busy! I appreciate their helpfulness and will continue to bring them items for recycle. read more

the heavy set guy with glasses is a crook!!! Do NOT sell to this place or come here. this guy tries to lie to you about the materials you bring. saying it's not bright bear and also says it doesnt weigh what it actually weighs and overall is a horrible experience. bunch of crooks. last time he dumped my copper in the bin just to pull it back out saying the weight wasn't right and proceeded to pull my wire outta the bin to weigh it again and it's was magically almost 20 lbs less that what I brought and know for a fact what I brought and how much it weighted. Straight metal was no problem. Lady at desk was Nice Non ferrous metal has a rude FAt Mexican that is lazy. Stands around won't help with what kind of metal you have and will rip you off. Looks to give cheapest metal. I miss years ago when the was a nice lady that would talk to you and show what you have and talk about how to check so next time you would have info. We are going thru our metal best we can and would like a little help with the different metals.We are the customer that is making the yard money. He didn't know the difference in Aluminum and Zink. All depending on what type of items you have it's a real hit or miss. The heavy your items are the more money you can receive. Your weighed as you sit in your vehicle on a scale how they determine how much you get? Who knows all in all they can short change you just don't think that you can have a major come up on light scraps. read more

I have been coming to this place for years and I thought is a honest place but they cheat on the prices they don't give out the correct price for anything this job we are doing is not easy and for them to lie and steel is cruel to all of us I would never come here again would not recommend the scale is completely wrong if you do the math you will notice they cheat you at least 200$ off every junk car you sell Both the young Spanish looking girl and the older Spanish lady are going to try talking to your husband and boyfriend looking to brake up a relationship inappropriate behaviour!!! read more

They will cheat you! I had two 8ft long galvanized steel pipes, a kitchen sink (not stainless), a metal wheelbarrow body and supports, two 12v Sealed Lead Acid batteries and two power tool batteries, a broken ax head and shovel, a vacuum cleaner motor, and a few other misc parts. They categorized everything except the batteries as tin only paid $7 for everything! NEVER AGAIN!!!! read more

This place went from being a decent recycling place, to a place I would not recommend to family or friends. But I would recommend it to people I don't like. The only people I should say person it works there is the actual person that gets to check behind the glass. For some reason I can't back up to correct what I was saying, the only decent person there is the lady that cuts the checks who sits behind the glass, all the rest of them should be fired and a couple of them should go to jail. read more

In a business whose ethics are falready in question, Newell has found a way to be the worst of the worst. After brining in clean aluminum and stainless steel, very clean, I find that I am dumbfounded at the amount placed on the check. It is 3/4 of the amount that any other yard would have paid. The response of the young man typing on the computer was to laugh and tell me that's how the "game" is played. This tells me that I am knowingly and purposefully being ripped off. What game? They are supposed to pay the price they post for the metal. They input metals in different conditions than the actual metal in front of them as to take advantages over clients. Bottom line, I was paid $15 for metal that anywhere else is worth $50 or more using their posted prices. I was the only customer at this business the entire time I was there. Wasn't a fan when Newell took-over this scrap yard, but they've proven themselves, to me. Never done me wrong, and always very friendly.

I went there in past and was treated fairly but the last time they coded the materials as they wished, and it was not what I had gotten in the past for the same clean aluminum. They gave me a third of what the value posted was.Stay away from this facility they rip you off,probably to cover their transportation costs, as it looks like they no longer process the materials, as they had in the past!!! read more

I believe there are different categories of recycled aluminum. I took clean extruded aluminum drop to SA and they categorized it as aluminum painted old stock. It paid .22 per pound. The cans I took were .40 per pound. I questioned the yardman and was told they just throw it in a heap and categorize all as painted old sheet aluminum. Go figure that one. Simple to me, go somewhere else to recycle. They are thieves liars and frauds. How much have they stolen from the less aware. read more
