Came here with my sister in law for a relaxing girls spa day. We indulged in the 80 minute true wellness spa package. I have never had a Thai massage before. My therapist Linee was amazing. Wonderful, relaxing experience. I had the pleasure of having a 60 minute massage with Nattha yesterday. It's been a rough year and self care schedules dropped off a while ago! So I was skeptical when I called for a same day appointment, but lucky for me. They were able to accommodate my schedule for a much needed massage within 15 minutes of me calling!!! I was so grateful for this accommodation, thank you Nattha and staff at the Metrotown Saba Thai! Nattha used her body weight, hands, fingers, and forearms to relax my neck, shoulders, thighs and back where it needed knots to be worked out. My husband treated us for a massage and facial combo for Mother's Day. The space is very well decorated and quite modern and beautiful. The check in service was quick, but the waiting area is right in the front. The spa is very large with lots of rooms. We're we're immediately taken to a couples room, where we spoke with our practitioners. Once they left we entered the beds which were very comfortable. The service was not great. It was a lot of oil and the massage was quite light even though I asked for medium pressure. The facial was not really a facial. They applied a cleanser and wiped it off. I think a face cream may have been applied but not too sure. It was less than 5 minutes. For the price is was not worth it. For a lot less I could have seen my regular RMT and had a good massage. Would not recommend the massage and facial combo. Perhaps the Thai massage or other services are more comprehensive. read more

I had reiceved a gift card for my birthday and was excited to get my massage but it was probably one of the worst massages I've ever received. The spa was spacious looked clean until I had to put my face in the hole and where you lay on your stomach of the massage bed. It had a dingey odour which was off putting. On top of that my massage wasn't pleasant at all. The masseuse kept reapplying oil (smelled like cooking oil) to my body. Her massage felt more like rubbing and less massaging. Lots of very uncomfortable rubbing with tons of friction. She applied so much oil to my body that I was still drenched in it when she wiped it off with a hot towel. I felt really gross and greasy. It took me two showers to get the grease off at home. I also really disliked that they will touch your feet and touch every other part of your body including your face without washing their hands. The scalp massage was awful. She used her nails on my dry scalp and just basically kept scratching and tugging. The facial wasn't even a facial she just put cleanser and wiped it off with cotton pads. I basically left with a headache, achy and greasy after the experience. Tbh I don't think she knew what she was doing. read more

My husband and I got the wellness spa package, which started with us choosing our own aromatherapy oils and ended with a cup of hot ginger tea. Our therapists were Shoko and Dar, and we think they did a fabulous job! The pressure was just right. But I have to be honest, some of the stretches were a bit painful . But I'm sure it's just cuz I'm not flexible enough haha. Overall great experience! read more

Welcoming and comfortable environment with soothing scent. Friendly receptionists and masseuse. Unfortunately, the Thai massage experience was unimpressive. I had a session with Janice. She was talkative. The technique was very uncomfortable. It was in quick elbows/ knuckles vibration motion through out the body instead of regular Thai massage techniques. The masseuse did not focus on targeted area properly, and spent a lot of time on areas that were asked not to be touched. I've heard a lot of good about Sabai Thai and was very excited to give it a try for the first time. Sadly I left with no relaxation, more soreness to the muscles, and new bruises. read more
